Better Call Saul: Winner (2018)
One of the most heartbreaking scenes of the Breaking Bad saga
Wow just wow! I know there is a plethora of painful scenarios and scenes to trudge through but this finale episode and the extremely heart breaking mess Mike has to fix is just something else. It's something special even with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul combined I'd put it near the top. And on top of that we have THE OFFICIAL BIRTH of Saul Goodman. Pain, glory, happiness, or despair.. it's SAUL GOODMAN!
Also. The song chosen for winner takes all was SO on point with the lyrics and the vibe. As good as it gets. The winner is the viewer.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Rare cinema
A flawless masterpiece. If you can find flaws then you are looking too hard to enjoy any movie. This movie will have ya feeling all kinds of emotions. It doesn't take long for the movie to tell you that even the painful memories should be cherished.
La science des rêves (2006)
Very weird and that's beautiful
This movie is extremely odd and that's what I was the most excited for. To be honest I think the dream scenes were pretty legit visually as I often have dreams so bizarre that they are dizzying much like this story can be. Highly recommend if you want something refreshing and unique to watch.
17 Again (2009)
Very underrated gem
Hilarious all the way through and especially Thomas Lennon he played his part perfectly. I judged this by the name before thinking it'd be super cheesy but it was pretty darn good and packed a lot of heart. It's much better than the 6.4 score it has currently.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Stan Lee is smiling in the light realm
I feel like Stan Lee's energy was intricately woven into this movie like a dna strand. I couldn't help but think of him smiling and looking down on us so proud.
This movie really blew me away which I knew it would. I'm so impressed how much "nods" they got in there to all the Spiderman movies. I think they did them all justice. Make sure to stay for both end credit scenes. The last ones really juicy.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Haters suck They're a plague
This movie was awesome. Any haters are simply doing it to disagree and be a loud voice. Plus I know for a fact most the haters take their opinions from someone else's review. They read some thing and decide that they don't like it before they even see it. Drives me crazy.
Bruce Almighty (2003)
This may be the most underrated movie ever
Criminally underrated at 6.8. I remember people not liking that god was shown as a black man. I love it One of my favorite roles Morgan Freeman has played. You just may shed a tear at the end after plenty of laughs along the way.
The Spectacular Now (2013)
This one spoke to me
I could relate to the main character big time. I left feeling uplifted and reminded myself it's ok to cut yourself some slack. The spectacular moment will be there tomorrow.
Shallow Hal (2001)
Criminally underrated at a 5.9/10
This is one of best Farrelly brothers movies so underrated should be mentioned in the list of great comedies. This one provided me some tears but ultimately tears of an uplifting nature. Love more people it's the key to everything.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (2021)
Well worth the Redbox rent for the laughs
10/10 because I feel this movie deserves a much higher rating. Both the first and second movie have been treated harshly and have a lower rating than I believe they have respectively earned. People on here are astoundingly negative it blows my mind. A fun movie a kid or an adult could watch as I'm 31 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Visually stunning and refreshing
The most visually stunning movie I can think of off the top of my head since Life Of Pi(I know it's not an animated movie but..). Blew my expectations away. The animations style is so cool to look at but it could definitely overwhelm certain people especially if they have certain health conditions. This is the epitome of a movie that could cause a seizure. I enjoy most the Spider-Man movies but this is my favorite Spider-Man ever and I don't say that lightly. This is a fun one for a "mind vacation"
Dexter: New Blood: Cold Snap (2021)
Wow I'm impressed.
I didn't have doubts that it would be well made considering they've had many years to tinker with a potential after story of Dexter and I know it's just the first episode but damn was it a beauty. Had my emotions flying. I really thought it was cool to see a completely different person. He is obviously one of the most well liked individuals of the town and more friendly than ever. Beautiful episode.
Management (2008)
5.8 rating is a crime
This is the absolute prime example of a movie that deserves a much higher score. This made me laugh and cry back and forth for most the movie. Should be minimum 1.2 stars higher of a score. 7/10 Highly recommend. Both leads are memorable roles.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms (2021)
Epic
I didn't think they could come close to outdoing the first film but I think this challenges it pretty well. Love them both. But man this one was such a blast to watch. I may even like it better than the first however some of it might be due to the fact that I've been waiting for this to come out forever. Own them both and in my opinion easily the two best Mortal Kombat movies ever made. Loved it. The amount of brutal gory kills and how many moves they incorporated from the game really impressed me. Very creative. Easy 10/10 for me.
Dan in Real Life (2007)
In real life
Don't be a murderer of love or you may have to deal with an angry overly emotional daughter.
Crazy Heart (2009)
Powerful cinematic adventure through strife
Some of the best songs I've ever heard written specifically for a film. Wow blown away.
The Midnight Meat Train (2008)
An underrated gem
Love the gore in this. It's relentless Enjoyed the story too. Just watched a second time after not seeing the movie in years. Quite enjoyed it.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Eazy to rate this as a 10/10
Oh boy Just picked this up on Blu-ray from the pawnshop for only $2! What a find! Starting my second viewing right now and I loved it the first time so I'm excited. One of the easiest 10/10 rating decisions I've ever made for a movie.
Arrival (2016)
There are movies to only entertain and then there is ART
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema art you'll ever experience. Just rewatched it because I hadn't seen the movie since it's release and wow it's even more satisfying a second time. Truly beautiful. This is one of the movies where a simple mind may not be able to grasp this achievement of cinema.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Solid sequel
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and found myself tearing up throughout the movie because I couldn't stop thinking about the sacrifice the dad made in the first one that is the only reason they're still alive. A powerful scene that stuck with me throughout part 2. The young kids are exceptional actors and have a. Right future. Cillian Murphy was awesome as usual My favorite part of the film are the scenes where both of the split up parties have scenes paralleling each other. I thought that was refreshing. The design of the monsters overall is one of my favorite designs in any movie. Very unique looking. Definitely see this in the IMAX.
Joy (2015)
Deserves a far better score
I always try to watch movies rated at least 6+. People are so harsh and their negativity can be astounding. Some of my favorite movies of all time are sitting at a 6. I watch movies. I don't scan every nook and cranny of the movie for 2 hours trying to find faults. Just watch the movie I mean seriously. This movie I truly believe should be at least a 7. David O Russell killing it as usual. Jennifer Lawrence is basically a super mom heroine. Loved it. For all you super Mom's of the household I fee you'll all love this movie. :)
Daredevil (2015)
This show is a masterpiece
Simply put. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Real gritty.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)
Single best unique movie of all time
"It's just such a joy" said with Michael Cera's innocence Love him as an actor This movie I can't find a single gripe about. It's brilliantly refreshing and and the refreshments feed my soul
Tosh.0 (2009)
LOL( as the hip kids say)
I love a good laughing of the out loud variety. Particularly enjoy an extremely violent cackle laugh. This shows warms my human gizzard
He's a Comedy Central paid fairly famous version of myself. My humor is alarmingly more weird than his so everyone be grateful I'm not behind the camera. Or maybe you're sad you can't observe my absurdity?
Men in Black³ (2012)
A rare 3rd movie in a franchise
It's very uncommon that the third movie in a franchise is not only much better than the second but pretty close to being as good as the first. Giving this a 10/10 because I truly believe it's overall score should be a 7. In my opinion it was just about on par with the first. The time travel plot they did wel and Josh Brolin is so on point being young K. Wow. Voice is even the same.
