Sing 2 (2021)
Father's don't babysit!
That line alone frustrated me.
What if I guy said "my wife is babysitting our kid alone for 24 hrs! Hallelujah!"
So, the animation & digital artwork was fantastic! The music was great and all that, which alone deserves 10 stars but you could see how one line could ruin a movie for someone.
One day the world will realize that father's don't babysit their kids.
Grimm: Kiss of the Muse (2013)
Fun episode
It's an intense episode but fun. Don't listen to that other reviewer, Nick & Juliette were good.
The problem I have with this episode, along with most other Grimm episodes is that the writers make it a bit painstaking to watch with how much characters -specifically Monroe- constantly beat around the bush and take forever to get to a point for no reason & leave people (specifically Juliette) in the dark. I love Monroe but he's a pain to listen to most of the time.
Encanto (2021)
9 stars for animation alone
Yes, the story is a bit congested & rushed but not horribly so.
The animation is absolutely incredible! Particularly how the hair reacts to movement. The character design, movement & personality are spectacular. The marriage of music, singing & animation is so much fun.
The choreography is also incredible.
The voice actors are so good and gotta say, whatever mic's they used to record the voices are awesome.
Burn Notice: Lesser Evil (2009)
It's a great episode but....
It's actually one of my favorite episodes of Burn Notice but the things that drags it down significantly is the editing.
My LORD it's the choppiest editing I've ever seen! Man, dude, let the driving scenes Breath! Every shot when they're driving lasts a split second, almost feeling like I'm having a seizure. It's fairly common for fighting/driving scenes in BN to be choppy but I'm this episode it's ridiculous.
That last driving scene where they run from Carla's guys and Fiona blows some stuff up, it's actually painful to watch. But honestly the whole episode had horrible editing.
Triple 9 (2016)
Acted Well. Intense Action Scenes. That's it.
Basically just what most others have said: Great acting, Great action direction but nothing of a plot.
As another had said as well: I really wanted to like it but when a movie tries so hard with realism and intensity, the lack of plot is so obviously clear that it becomes (expectedly becomes) a let down.
I wish more movies wouldn't just be about retaliation & "doing a job" but has more substance and foundation building. Other than that, it was acted & directed well.
