I loved it
14 December 2012
The review really tries to drive home the suspense for the secrets and well they should! This is the best movie in the trilogy. It might be a little wordier then the other two, but everyone in my office at DISH agrees that it was necessary. This is the movie that ties up all the loose ends left in its predecessors. And to top it off it was hilarious enough to leave the wife, kids, and even myself laughing all Friday night. When we were using the Redbox, which only has a handful of movies, it was always a challenge to find something for the entire family. But now that we have over 100,000 different selections through Blockbuster @Home from DISH, I have not seen one person disappointed face on a movie night in months.

American Dad!: Why Can't We Be Friends? (2012)
Season 8, Episode 5

I thought it was great!
4 December 2012
While I was flying to Denver I got pretty bored, so I went to DISH Online to kill some time and found this episode. I truly believe that this was the most hilarious episode I have ever seen. After Stan catches his son and Snot in spandex air-guitaring like pros he decided that snot is not cool enough to hang out with Steve. The only solution left is for him to drive a wedge between them the CIA way; with lies and deceit. The side story this week is almost as hilarious as the main plot. Jeff needs some financial help, so Roger is kind enough to let him clean the attic for some cash. Unfortunately for Jeff, Roger is also evil enough to promptly steal it back. Some of the guys in my office at DISH said that the plot was lacking a certain amount of absurdness, but if you are anything like me then I know that your sides are going to hurt by the end.

This was the best episdoe yet
29 November 2012
Miss Jean's restaurant had some pretty serious employee problems as well as a lack of customers and didn't know why. But after just few minutes even the guys in my office at DISH realized it was mainly the same reason that she earned the nickname Miss Mean. I won't give any spoilers, but Miss Jean has a lot of heart and soul and Ramsay does his best to match it. This has to have been one of the most touching episodes I have seen and I love the way this season is going. I wouldn't even know about Kitchen Nightmares if I didn't have the Prime Time Anytime feature. Since my DISH Hopper auto-records the big 4 networks during prime time I have had a chance to see a lot of shows I have never watched due to my school schedule and Kitchen Nightmares is number one on my list.

The Amazing Spider-Man Is Truly Amazing!
24 November 2012
The newest adaptation of the Spider-Man story, although a bit early, is arguably the best one yet. The guys in my office at DISH think that was due to the fact that the script stays a lot closer to the original Spider-Man comics plot, but I think it was because we were giving more information about the disappearance of Peter's parents. Also the writers made a bold move to have Peter spend more time in high school and I am positive that that is going to pay off in the long run. I never have time to stop at the Redbox down the street to grab movies, but since I started renting from Blockbuster at Home through DISH the discs are already waiting in my mailbox when I get off work and this was an awesome first choice.

Revolution: Ties That Bind (2012)

Revolution is Awesome
16 November 2012
Every one in my office at DISH agrees that the gang trying to get across the bridge was more a distraction then anything, but watching Nora's flashbacks did a lot for me as far as enjoying her character goes. She and Mia had it pretty bad after the black out. I won't give any spoilers, but after what happens between those two I can't wait to see the next episode. I am visiting the in-laws for Thanksgiving and I didn't have a chance to set my DVR to record revolution and I have been worried the whole time. But my wife said our Hopper automatically records all of the prime time TV on the big four networks, so it will be waiting when I get home and I can start enjoying my stay.

It was worth the time
15 November 2012
Everyone in my office agrees that Nitro Circus: The Movie was definitely no Jackass, but I had fun with it none the less. I think it would have been a bit more successful if they had put a few more of the familiar gross out Jokes in or perhaps designed a couple of stunts to go wrong on purpose, but this movie is good in it's own right. The stunts performed are truly dangerous and the few bloopers that do get to see are sure to excite sum laughter. I didn't watch the 3D version in theaters since they're always so packed, but since I rented it from Blockbuster at Home through DISH I beat the crowd and it was waiting for me when I got off work.

Copper (2012–2013)
8/10
I loved it
3 November 2012
It only took one tailor of Copper for me to know that I was going to love this series. I, like everyone in my office at DISH, thought that I was in store for another chapter in the Gangs of New York story. Copper was a completely different animal. The historical research performed to create this series is definitely apparent. The clothes were perfect, the acting was spot on, and unlike Gangs of New York Copper actually delves into the entire social hierarchy of the period. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a history buff. I am lucky I got to see it at all. I rented it from Blockbuster at Home through DISH because if it wasn't delivered right to my mailbox I never would have had time to go pick it up from the Wal-Mart in the next town over.

Coma (2012)
5/10
I liked it better the first time
31 October 2012
As soon as I heard Coma was out on video I had to put it in my Blockbuster at Home queue. After watching it I think it was way below par for Ridley Scott. I know some people have called it a 'mini series' but at almost 3 hours of pointless characters it is anything but mini. I definitely liked the original version better and after talking to a few guys in my office at DISH I know I am not the only person that holds that sentiment. About half way through Coma I took it to the to the Blockbuster store down the street for a free exchange. I paid to watch a movie that night and I am happy I didn't have to do it twice at least.

That's My Boy (2012)
5/10
Eh, not the worst
20 October 2012
I heard some people in my office at DISH talking about how bad this movie was, but I love Adam Sandler so I had to find out for myself. I rented That's my Boy from Blockbuster at Home and was a little disappointed. I am not saying that it is a horrible movie, but it was not my taste. He was just immature the entire time and it got a bit annoying. I think Donny might be the unfunniest character I have ever seen Adam play and that is saying something after Jack and Jill. Either way about half way through the movie I ended up taking it to the Blockbuster store up the street and getting a free exchange. I only have one movie night a week and I didn't want to waste it a man acting like a child acting like a man.

Revolution: The Plague Dogs (2012)
Season 1, Episode 4
7/10
Great Episode
10 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The last episode of Revolution was one of the best. Granted, the plot development was minimal if not absent, but we got a chance to know the characters better which was sorely needed. Basically Charlie was captured and rescued once again (sorry not really a spoiler when it happens every episode) and Neville and Danny got to spend some unneeded time with one and other. At the end we are again left with more questions that we began with, but I am very pleased that we don't have to care about what happens to absolute strangers anymore. Revolution is my favorite distraction during the week. I just watched this week's episode while I my wife was driving us to California and the time absolutely flew by.

Copper: Surviving Death (2012)

Best Show on TV
21 August 2012
I wish I could have watched this show on the big screen, but I was out of town on business. I ended up watching it at Dish Online and I am very happy I did not wait till I got home. This show is going to be a classic. I thought when Charles Dickens was describing New York City that he was just being melancholy. After seeing a few documentaries I know his description was true and I can see that Copper has captured this sense of despair perfectly. One of my colleagues at Dish said she has no idea how they are going to put together forensic cases with no forensics to speak of, but I don't see it as an obstacle, but rather a gimmick. I am definitely interested in what Fontana comes up with.
