Last Christmas (2019)
I'll be watching it again until next Christmas !
I saw this movie for the first time a week and a half ago. Since then I've watched it another none times - I've watched selected scenes more often than that. Inarguably the best Christmas movie I've ever seen. Both
the actors and the Script are perfect.
Leila (2011)
good, great performances
The spider continued to appear throughout the movie - the point was to for us to understand who had really done the real damage - one point I noticed In the trailer the phone message her husband found said "Can't wait to touch you.." and in the same scene in the film, the message said "Can't wait to get in touch with you". The film itself was supposed to be about mistakes (in what you see or find) but the mistakes were not his. And Leila gave us all the hints that she was lying, pulling away from her husband every time he tried to make love to her and spending the rest of the night with her daughter. Her anger with him win anything disappeared sealed it all. It was somewhat confusing that she broke down and cried when learned that her husband had found the camera and viewed the film of her betrayal. It didn't help that there was no explanation of what happened where or when that led to her betrayal of her family.
My First Wedding (2006)
A truly bad movie (spoiler)
From the start this movie was simply unbelievably awful. Do not use it as a "date movie" - it'll completely sour any amorous intentions. I recorded it to watch it and within twenty minutes was fast forwarding through a lot of it, pausing for only three or four scenes - the character "Nick" was intolerable. T He generates hatred from the start. Dialogue apparently intended to be funny generates a high level of irritation with him instead. The English accent heightens that irritation. As the irritation continues to worsen, you begin to wonder why no one has hit him or thrown him out. The scenes of his invading the "space" of the bride and groom are unbelievable as well. Invading the bride's dressing room without consequence ? Invading the honeymoon without consequence or resistance? After all that, the bride decides she's in love with him ? The jilted groom walks outside and leaves with "Nick's" sister ? Unbelievable. This movie isn't even good enough for straight to video - I'd bet it's gathering dust on the walls of any video store that may be cursed with ownership of it.
