Watched it only for Prithviraj
6 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I understand this is a commercial movie solely for their profits, not meant to share art, story or creativity. Even so this movie was stoic for my liking. Liked the lyrics of one song, beats of another one. So many characters and cast for no reason. Under used Arjun, Samyuktha amongst others. Nothing new same template from the 90's, overall meh. Giving it 5 for Prithviraj, Arjun and the songs, rest was not my cup of anything. Out of curiosity was there BSNL in the 90's? The blue boxes show during the showdown with Shajon.

What was that?

Warning: Spoilers
The entire time I was rooting for the bad guy! So then the movie would end. However, the three characters, I loved are that of Makkari, Karun and Druig. Everything else about that was abysmal. It honestly looked like the people making it stayed up the night before finished their assignment and submitted it by 8am. So meh I don't want to give A for effort in fear that they will make another one.

100/10 Perfection
19 August 2021
Beautiful family! Cast is perfect, acting is perfect, Camera/cinematography is perfect, location is perfect, songs are perfect, storyline and transition are perfect, layers of story was done perfectly. I could honestly watch it for another few hours, like a good book you don't want to end. Indrans Sir, Manju Chechi wow wow wow. The screen presence for every single cast member is quite impeccable. Thank you entire cast, and everyone who worked behind it. So many aspects of my life, and our families portrayed. Heart warmingly fuzzy and sweet. I have about zero complains.

I loved it!

Warning: Spoilers
I really don't understand the negative reviews. This is like reading a novel, the cinematography the songs are all wonderful. Tapasee is evolving for the better. Vikrant is an amazing actor. I would watch it again. I don't want to fix the story lines because it's not my story but the writers. Loved the ending and thank you for closure.

Not my favorite
30 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Personally most of the scenes seemed too mechanical. Especially since Malayalam industry has been dishing out some really good movies lately. Where they all make it seem so organically artistic. I was really looking forward to another Prithviraj movie. After Ayappanum Koshiyum, which I absolutely adored.

In this however, ACP was floating around the whole movie. He was too detached from the storyline for me personally. 100% of the time he was akin to a model perfectly put up and it added nothing to the storyline. Even the first shot of his arrival and lifting up an already disintegrating piece of evidence seemed too immature. I mean why? What was the point?

In another scene Malini Arvind says to hold of on processing, the DNA of the possible suspect. Why ? No explanation?! Why was Medha's mother in law given a character at all? After all the drama, the mystery is shared and explained in a car ride. What were you doing with the 2hrs then?!

Medha along with the little child was awesome! The other 90% of the cast was under utilized, and it had a lot of people.

Apologetically this was not my favorite. So as to compare Prithviraj's similar roles, I liked Adam Joan way way better. This movie looked like it was put up together in a fix.

5 for the hard work and effort!

What was this?

I don't understand anything about this movie. The only saving grace was the cinematography Krishna's and Shine Tom's characters. The transitions, character buildup, screenplay and the concept was pretty sad. I feel like Gregory has so much potential to do well as a lead, but this was not the break for him.

A wonderfully made show. Really hoping they make more of this. Very clean except for the language. Love K K Menon's role. Vinay Pathak also did an excellent job. Loved all the agent characters, the plot and the direction.

Warning: Spoilers
What's not to love about this movie. Everything is so perfect. If at all I am forced to make a complain it would have to be in the second half where all of Ayyappan's barks were stronger than his bites. He doesn't really do anything to the extent of his very threatening dialogues. Few of my fav unexpected characters were Kannamma, Kumaran, Jessie, and the guy who come in for the quarry rock issue. Good job team. I loved it

Save your time and energy

There is nothing, and I repeat NOTHING worthwhile in this movie. Most of the cast probably committed to this movie out of obligation to the director. My problem is not with the direction or cast, my problem is with the absurdity of the whole storyline. What exactly was conveyed? Even the song, "....patuillengil podi" Why?what exactly is the point? How condescending and demeaning. So lame.

Why do have to come to this as a society?
29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The first time Kabir sees Preethi, he establishes his authority, then proceeds to do everything that he does. All the cursing, all the abuse, all that was left to do in the name of "passionate love" was pour acid. Ladies and gentlemen do not think sadism and masochism, is what defines love.

I understand the roughness, the rawness, fights, his needs to be a testosterone poster boy and the storyline as a whole, I just cannot digest the concept of a man "owning" another human being to do with it as he pleases. It's disgusting. No animal, no human being will or can appreciate that.

It's scarier in the Hindi version because Kiara Advani's, Preethi clearly looked terrified especially in the beginning, as an unwilling participant.

Shahid Kapoor's, Kabir was excellent he did complete justice to the character and the paycheck. The actors who played Kabir's brother and father also did a wonderful job I also loved the cinematography.

Wonder where all these 10/10 stars are coming from. No comedy, unnecessary dialogues and characters and a very monotonous boring storyline. Most parts of the movie were self contradictory, it hurt itself so I don't have to add salt to that wound. 2 stars for effort.

Unbearable
24 October 2019
Prabhas almost comical. Supposedly a serious movie but so cheesy. Played it on Amazon Prime, 15 mins into it my husband slept and I struggled to keep my focus on the screen even then I kept watching till halfway and then I just couldn't do it anymore. Would give it a 0 if I could. The lame songs Baby tell me repeated 5000 times. What the heck was this? 350Cr I could have shot a better home movie for free.

Also what was up with randomly showing a gazillion skyscrapers? Was one of the producers an architect? Zooming in and out and showing random buildings.

Loved all the actors/characters

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the loved the movie! A different execution of vendetta. I see some other reviews complaIning that it does not relate to the theory of evolution and that they refer to the Portuguese with golden hair who is later forgotten.

The Portuguese "person"/ "man" they are referring to is St. Antony (Golden Idol) who is actually a Catholic priest from Portugal.

In the end Anil Anto shows us that the concept of Natural selection which is Darvin's Theory of Evolution playing out. Individuals with characteristics best suited to their environment are more likely to survive. Survival of the fittest.

My qualms with the movie was the lack of completion of the stories. And poor transitions at some parts.

Irrelevant but I am being picky. 1) Why are Amala's parents never shown? Or sought help from? 2) Why didn't the person, who caused all the trouble, the chain snatcher get punished for his actions?

I saw camera in two different shots and the rain with the bright son and smoke was also annoying.

On that note I still saw the movie twice on Amazon Prime.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie after the first few minutes of humor and fun was intense. I found myself holding my breath multiple times. I saw it with Amazon Prime, so had to pause in between just so I could breath. It was so intense and captivating. The theme is Misogyny, and not a love story they are honest with the description of the movie. In my book they could have done nothing differently. The cast, the camera was all just perfect. If at all I am forced like to say something so I can go home (; is I would have avoided the little girl from the center of it all but for the director I can see and understand how the story demands it. Boy oh boy oh boy the picturization of "Male ego Vs Perennial Female victimization." had to painted out for the ones living in oblivion to feast on.

I want to watch a movie with Psycho Shammi (Kumbalangi Nights) Vs Alwin the 'njarappu rogi". Lol

This review here is more original and creative than the waste of a movie this whole thing is. I just found it on Netflix and played it. Why was this movie made? Why did they release it? Why is Varun trying so freaking hard to be so abysmal? So many why's that will never have an answer.

Warning: Spoilers
Joju George!!! This movie was amazing!

Don't watch it with young children around, because of gory death scenes.

Although at some point it became predictable, the execution was breathtaking and perfect. The cast was perfect, the acting perfect, story, direction, dialogues so perfect.

Looking forward to movies and stories, such as these. I for one am quite tired of extremely commercialized movies.

Sad sad sad
3 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The review because I finished the movie, and for Nivin Pauly. The only person who acted for the money they were paid was Siddique. Man this guy such an amazing actor, no matter what he is given he rules it with his confident dialogue rendering, and screen presence.

Unni Mukundan, such a vile vilian in character, I know this dude works really hard, it's hard to see his acting skills.

I wish Sijoy varghese was given the role of the Police ( M. Easa). The guy who did it was too cold to relate.

First complaint, the cheesy music, the rough transitions, sad acting lasted longer. Anyone who could act was killed off, like the director was jealous of them or something, the characters that played, Kishore Kumar, Sijoy, Siddique. I wish their roles were either longer or given to someone else so they lasted longer.

Seriously 3 different (groups) of Vilian(s) all of them want this Middle Schooler. Makes no sense to me but whatever.

And why do girls in movies irrespective of them knowing martial arts or Karate or whatever is slapped. Jennifer learned karate and she gave her best only to be degraded with a slap! Why?! I'm no feminist but come on dude!!

Ok Nivin you got a bad one for your resume hope you make better ones. Not everything is 200% successful 100% of the time. I understand.

Truth be told I could not sit and watch after 20-25 mins of it. I am a Manju Warrier fan the only reason I gave this a try past the 10 mins. With the hype I was expecting a Baahubali of a movie. 10/10 for the marketing team.

It's alright
16 February 2019
Compared to the other Kunjchacko movies this actually had something to watch. The screen command of Sharafudeen is what carried the movie for me personally. Other than that our usual Kunjchacko movie. I want to know how Kunjchacko survives so long with mediocrity. It's a good thing he's cute I suppose.

What exactly were they trying to convey with this movie? Nothing hit home for me. Why were these people cast into the given roles? Everything looked forced, especially the story. Meh

Typical kunjchacko Boban movie, cute hero in a village and a beautiful heroine. The good thing with these kinds of movies is that the whole family can watch. My review is for the lack of substance, nothing exciting. Hareesh and Vijayraghavan the two people why I finished the movie.

Officially my new favorite movie
29 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I have always loved Trisha! And I had started liking Vijay with Njaanum Rowdy Thaan. However this movie is just all my likes and loves rolled into one huge fluffy dreamy comfy pillow. I guarantee anyone who has ever been in love or crush is going to be so mesmerized and taken into some sort of numbing flashback moment. My Husband and I met when we were 18/19 years old. We both had no plans on marrying each other but became such good friends that we could not think of marrying anyone else. Now by God's grace we are 15 years into our relationship and 8 years of marriage. This movie took us back to those moments. What I love about the movie is how genuine it is, nothing is added to unnecessarily embellish it. I loved how the story said that Trisha is married and has a child they reveal child but never the husband it's just so perfect and beautiful. I also felt like this movie was the other side to Jillinu Oru Kadhal. I know there might be so many couples who wanted to get married to each other, but circumstances lead them other ways, and after watching this I felt grateful for being able to marry my friend and love!!
