Ghostbusters (2016)
Way to butcher a classic
This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Total garbage. All of the sets look like theme park attractions. The acting is atrocious. I feel dumber for having watched it.
Dumplin' (2018)
Didn't love the characters
I don't think the characters were built enough. I didn't love any of them. It seemed like they cut out parts of their personalities. Willowdean honestly comes off like a bratty teen with no respect. A lot of the conflict between her and her mom seems more her throwing a teenage fit and things she is building up in her head. It seems like they may have left something out there.
The whole Dolly Parton thing is really forced. And I get the pint of the movie and the theme but is really shoved down your throat in this. There is more point than story.
I really hate movies that make all the adults and parents look like the idiots and all the kids and teens are the smarty pants know it alls and teach the grown ups a lesson. It just pushes that entitled mentality that youth today are so fond of.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
Where is the pint and how do I get to it?
This was titled Crimes of Grindelwald but he was barely in the movie. There was a big emphasis on Dumbledore being in this one but he was also barely in it. There were 4 very disconnected stories happening and they didn't really tie together in the end. So many Easter eggs in this movie that you have to be knowledgeable about the HP world to get it and they are such a big part of the movie that if you aren't knowledgeable you may be missing even more in this movie. I hate how they portrayed Nicholas Flamel as a frail paper thin albino. I went into this movie excited and left bored and confused.
iZombie (2015)
Started out strong but fizzled
I loved the first 2 seasons, season 3 was ok. Season 4 is terrible. They are really overdoing the personalities from the brains and I don't like that they are starting to fade out her zombie look. I am watching an episode where she is acting like a British knight and cringing every time she starts talking. The whole renegade story line is too much.
