If you can see this movie for free, I recommend it! Not a GREAT movie by any stretch of the imagination,, but it held my interest with the possibility of seeing a supernatural beast in a cave. The story plays out like a live broadcast with the idea that a famous expert is going into a cave to search of a yeti called the "Snow Ghost". Things really pick up once he gets inside the cave and is struggling to move and running out of air. The explorer also experiences other strange and unexplainable things inside the cave which make you question his sanity. The host of the show tries to keep everything together while the whole mission becomes more dangerous and unstable. If you're into cryptids and fantastical beasts, there are better movies when it comes to the creature effects. The "Snow Ghost" isn't going to blow you away! But that little detail also makes sense with the story so I give the director and cast credit for doing a lot with a tiny budget. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a new yeti movie! It's been a long time since somebody has done an abominable snowman movie of any kind. Adjust your expectations and just enjoy!

I stumbled upon this found footage outlier thanks to its creepy black and white poster. Unlike most "self shot"/ POV horror, this movie does a better job of justifying the reason for the filming by having the lead character be a camera reviewer. The story takes place in Japan and centers on the supernatural consequences of dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This aspect of the movie gave me chills. One excellent scene involves a bombing survivor who recounts his horrific memories of that day. The movie bounces back and forth between the present and vintage interview footage with the bombing survivor - leaving clues about the haunting attached to the house. This is an unusual movie and you could almost call it experimental found footage because of the way the plot unfolds. I had a nightmare about the story told by the survivor. There are also several jump scares that got me pretty good!

Beautiful design, unsettling plot

I'm a big fan of the "haunted house" genre. As such, I really enjoyed the decaying beauty of the house in The Lodgers. The atmospheric design, the beautiful lighting all work together for a nice period piece. The incestuous plotline is daring and bizarre. It's a twisted little tale of control and guilt. I felt that the supporting characters were a bit thinly presented but overall I really enjoyed this

I recommend this movie to all of my audiophile friends. The sound design is so good and as a collector myself, I love that someone made a move about a record that can kill you! When you only have a moment in the day for something creepy, these short episodes really hit the spot!

Maybe it's a "girl" thing, but I love a good paranormal movie! You definitely wont see any big stars in this homemade looking horror, but at least it's free on Prime. Watching this low- budget movie try to combine the world of fashion, horror and a nasty old mannequin is pretty entertaining. It doesn't always make sense because I was sometimes confused about where the plot was going. The big positive though is the ending which was a lot scarier than I thought it would be considering they spend too much time being cute and funny in the beginning. This is an good movie to watch if you get it free with your subscription. It was actually a lot different than I expected and it was never too bloody or disgusting. When the scares hit, it really surprises you because you get too comfortable early and then wham! I liked it for what it is. A free creepy movie.
