Spinning Out (2020)
Got me in my feelingsss
When I first started watching this, It came off as kind of basic. Overall all the actors are very good, they showed off a lot of acting development as the show started to take its turn. The one thing that I think could have been changed was the relationship between kat and Justin. In the first scene of them you could tell they were going to get together. And in all honestly I hated how Jen was bassicly used. Jen may seem like a bad friend, personally I think she just has a very strong personality. Deep down she really cares about Kat and always being second to someone but loving them at the same time is hard. It wasn't looked at very deeply it was just like " oh that sucks", but Jen deserved better. And I feel like if they would have tried different relationships between the three of them it wouldn't be so basic and it would have a new aspect to it. I also like how they put mental illness awareness into it. It was a very different aspect then most shows. Now I don't know anyone with bipolar disorder and I don't know a lot about it, therefore I don't know if their acting of it was accurate. Though I do appreciate raising awareness in general in shows. Overall good show! Would just like to see some twists or surprises in character relationships. A new aspect to who they interact with.
Never Have I Ever (2020)
I LOVE THIS SHOW
Okay yes this show can be silly at times, and some people have unrealistic personality's or exaggerated personality's. But I think it's just the writers bringing humour into the show. If you understand their trying to send a message then you'll understand this show is bigger then itself. They just put a happy and funny tint over the show but it's Actually really deep and meaningful. In my opinion it's Atcaully not basic but they use some basic stereotypes and characters to bring out the unique characters and storylines from it. Contrary To what people may think I think Paxton is different. Yes he's popular and has his " jerk moments" but he never just becomes the "nice guy."Or changes for one girl. He's always been him just him. As well as he didn't like Davi immediately he didn't just see her and think " where has she been all my life" randomly. Or " wow this girl is quirky and so different." Davi made a move on Paxton first and they had a friendship basis going on for a while. I like how it's slow but not too slow, yes it would be cute if they we're together but for them to get together so soon, it's unrealistic. And all those tv shows where the " blonde girl with glasses" and the prom king fall in love. That's not a reality that's a idealistic. He has taken an interest in her and is still him and is moving more slowly which honestly more guys would do in real life. Because one idealistic can't work out the same for everyone and not all of us can look like the prom Queen. Overall it has some silly moments but I love this show.
Zero Chill (2021)
Lowkey bad but kinda addictive
First of all the acting was a big no. Some of them aren't that bad but it could use some work. Sometimes the stuff they say or the way they show how it's interpreted into a scene doesn't make sense, it's honestly confusing. Although the skating and hockey is really satisfying to watch and skye is honestly so sweet. Mac definitely has some problems but I'm glad the writers chose THEM to develop a relationship, You never see that in tv shows. It's always the prom Queen Brittany or the " quirky girl."
It was simple but really cute. Overall this show has its problems but I Atcaully really like most of the cast. This may not be for adults and probably not teens but mid teen or children.
