Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Better than every other season combined
I've just finished watching the final episode of New Blood and I am completely blown away by the intense, continuously changing final episode. This was one of the best final episodes I have ever seen and makes up for the poor ending in season 8 before the rebirth of New Blood. As an avid Dexter fan, after the first two to three episodes I was worried the new season wouldn't live up to the previous 8. This has exceeded my expectations and yes, episode 10 of New Blood had me not only at the edge of my seat but in tears too. What a season.
Escape from Alcatraz (1979)
I'm really fussy with old movies but damn!
I really really enjoyed this one, a bit of a slow start but once the plan is set into motion it kept me at the edge of my seat! I loved that this was based on a true story and this movie lead me to researching the real story and then watching a few documentaries on it too. Yip, that's how interested I was in the story after the movie! Give it a watch for sure.
Just Go with It (2011)
Brilliant Comedy
With Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler as the main roles, you know you're in for a goodie! Hilarious, silly, and fun rom-com. I enjoyed it more than I expected I would. Definitely worth the watch. Enjoy!
P.S. I Love You (2007)
Touching tear-jerker
This movie will have you laughing and crying at the same time! Very touching and romantic story but fun too. Really enjoyed this one. Give it a go!
The Other Woman (2014)
Hilarious and Enjoyable Comedy
When I'm having a terrible day and need to have a laugh, this is my go-to. Yes, I've watched this movie way more times than I'd like to admit. Your typical chick-flick, well worth the watch!
Enough (2002)
Extremely Underrated!
Whenever someone asks for a good thriller suggestion, this is always my go-to! J-Lo plays a brilliant role as an abused and cheated on wife who has to go to lengths to protect her and her daughter from her horrible husband. A few twists here and there, this movie is truly a gem and massively underrated. I highly recommend this movie! Enjoy! Yay for women power too.
Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey (2018)
Heart-wrenching True Story
This movie hit me in the feels. Based on a true story, you hear from the survivor herself throughout the movie, while she quickly explains certain situations that were just portrayed in the movie. Really enjoyed this. If you enjoy a true story, give this movie a watch.
Blood Mountain (2017)
Painful To Watch
This is one of those movies where the entire time you're asking yourself why they're doing what they're doing. It is very clearly a low budget movie but goodness, way too painful to watch and enjoy. I really tried to enjoy it. Give this one a skip.
