Mighty Max (1993)
Mighty Max was unique and very special to me
I began watching this show when I was in junior high. I taped a few episodes and, watching them now, I still enjoy them as much as ever. "Mighty Max" was one of the best cartoons, if not the best, ever, in my opinion. It was educational, exciting, funny and very well-done. It wasn't just a kiddie show about things getting blown-up. It was about the eternal struggle of good vs. evil, about growing up, about friendship and faith in yourself. I guess Max is, in a way, the part of each of us that is always a carefree kid. A very special kid, however. It was amusing and nice to have the fate of the world so often resting on a kid my age. I love this show, and I wish there was more about it around. I highly recommend it.
Forever Knight (1992)
This show is about everything that is life.
REALLY mild spoiler ahead! There are some TV shows, as there are all things, that make viewers think more deeply about the world around them. That allow them to view simple, ordinary things, as well as extraordinary, in a new way - a way that helps us to not take the beautiful things in life for granted. Some things change the world forever for the people who love them. Forever Knight is one of these things. FK taught me to appreciate the good in life and in the people around me. It glorified all that is good in humanity, by showing us what we are through the eyes of one who seemingly has it all...and wants more than anything to be one of us. Its main character is a vampire, but this show is about what it is to be human - all the beauty and the ugliness, all the wisdom and the madness, all that we are capable of and all that we have lowered ourselves to. This show is beautiful, dramatic, romantic, intense, heart-warming and always exciting. This intelligent and wonderfully-done show has attracted an enormous following who have been so touched by it, that we are fighting to get it back. I would recommend this show for anyone mature enough to appreciate its intelligence, sensitive enough to be touched by its soul, and willing to take on a show that will change the way you see the world forever.
