Love the show but lack some important facts
marthebr2 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Warner spoilers:

I'll start with the fact That im Norwegian, so the first Story is something i grew up with hearing! One of the only famous serial killers produced from my country. I enjoyed the episode but They did not mention That she Didnt move to america before the age of 22. She was born in Selbu in 1859 and moved to Chicago in 1881. What Also is not mention is That she had children That all mysteriously dies young. That all her previous stores burn down and she gets alot of inscurance money. She bought her farm with money from one of the husbands she killed. Also her Step children and adopted children Also dies. Only one of many children survive. Thats because the last Child Swanhild is kidnapped by her fathers family. In the fire They dont only find what They think is Belle but Also her 3 new children except the kidnapped Swanhild. And They dont mention That the police was devided if the body was Belle because does who had met her knew she was larger than the body found. It was the court That ruled the body as Belle. So the Story is alot Worse than the episode shows!

My takeaway from watching the show so far is That it would be better if They focused on one crime each episode cause if They lack so many details in the one Story i know and fact checked before writing this. Then its probably alot of facts missing from the other stories as well. And the consept of the show is so good, but could be Even better!

Very interesting and very good!

Warning: Spoilers
I've always loved shows like the "Twilight Zone;" "Tales from the Crypt;" "The Night Gallery;" "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "Tales from the Darkside," and, this series has elements of all of these...except, the stories here are TRUE!

Todd Robbins even hosts and presents the series in a 'Rod Serling'-'Crypt Keeper'-'Alfred Hitchcock' semi-comedic fashion, much like he does on "1,000 Ways To Die."

In this day and age, I was so surprised to find such an interesting series of crazy stories that reflect the five above mentioned series that I've been watching for years...decades.

Check it out if you like twisted stories and the like; but, remember, these stories are true and once really happened which makes them even more disturbing.

A fantastic show!

I LOVE True Nightmares. It brings forth so many stories that are absolutely mind-blowing. I'm so bummed that there is no new season.... I've been waiting a year anticipating a new season and disappointment doesn't even describe what I feel. I wish I knew why ID always drops shows off the face of the earth. If you get a chance, watch the episodes that are available, Todd Robbins is the perfect host and the style of the show is unique. These aren't your typical stories and that's what I love about it.

Please make a new season of this!

Absolutely loved every single episode of this show and was gutted to hear it was not being renewed. Todd Robbins voice really brings the stories to life and gives you a really eery vibe.

Not accurate.

I love the series but it doesn't have accuracy. For places and years the clothes aren't right, the accents don't fit with the time frames. If you're g for true to life at least get the scenarios right.

All wrong

I love this show when I started watching it until I watched the previous episode which apparently took Place in 1911 but the cars look like late 2000's. It doesn't make sense. I only watch shows like this if the re-enactments are authentic.

Annoyingly Inaccurate
loritamannorita12 November 2022
First story happened in 1908...with running electricity on a "farm", a truck from the 60's, and printed color photos...I can't ignore the sloppy storytelling. I was out after 3 minutes.

Sad to see because the idea of the show seemed interesting. I've seen so many paranormal and crime stories that I'm running out of things to watch. This could have been nice if they just took a minute to leave out historical inaccuracies (minor ones would be fine).

Also, why do I need to write six hundred characters for my review? Do you want my life story. Here is the story all about how my life got flipped turned upsidedown...
