Once upon a time, I believed any completed movie that found release was a minor miracle. After enduring Harmony Korine’s infrared-only Aggro Dr1ft (written in “leetspeak”), the first production under the filmmaker’s new boundary-pushing “multimedia design collective” Edglrd, that mantra is shattered. This movie is theatrical imprisonment. Its duration? A life sentence. Aggro Dr1ft is an 80-minute music video masquerading as a provocative and startlingly stylized action flick that’s devoid of any provocation, groundbreaking style, or on-screen action.
Aggro Dr1ft follows a downtrodden Miami-based mercenary, Bo (Jordi Mollà), who wishes to vanquish a demonic crimelord and become a stay-at-home family man. It’s a crayon-box blur of fuchsia skies and lavender skin tones, paintball-masked mini militias mean-mugging on yachts with hot tubs, mumbled dialogue lost underneath Edm tracks, and robotic performances so unintelligible you’d think you’re being pranked. Travis Scott randomly appears as a next-generation assassin,...

Now that the Call of Duty developer Activision Blizzard falls under the Microsoft banner, it won’t be long before the developer title comes out as an Xbox exclusive. While the newer titles may come out as exclusives, there is a possibility that an older batch of Call of Duty games will come on Game Pass in the near future.
A still from Call of Duty
According to the latest report, the older Call of Duty games may soon be coming to Xbox Game Pass. If all the rumor turns out to be true, that also raises a possibility that Activision Blizzard could bring their extensive catalog of other games too to come to Xbox’s subscription service soon. The Xbox giant monopoly of studios behind games like World of Warcraft and Diablo is making some changes to the guidelines to make a new title. This will involve some inclusion, which is not always organic. Apparently, this will be a mandatory practice from now on.
Mark Kern, a former CEO and team lead for games like World of Warcraft and Diablo, has discovered this new “mandatory” change that Microsoft is implementing. In a post on X, he also mentioned that numerous Xbox studios are hiring the services of Sweet Baby Inc. to improve the inclusion of its games in their narratives.

It appears that after its rebirth and the subsequent VR entry, we’re once again returning to the Hellgate series. This time with one of the original developers. Bill Roper, who served as producer, writer, and director of Hellgate: London, has announced the development of Hellgate: Redemption at Roper’s new studio, Lunacy Games.
Per GamesBeat, Roper states that Lunacy recently made a deal with Hanbitsoft to develop Redemption after acquiring a license for the Hellgate: London franchise. “It feels like it’s been a long time in secretive hibernation. So I’m really happy to be able to start publicly talking about what we’re doing,” Roper said. “We’re announcing the Hellgate license on the 27th and that’s my birthday. So I can’t think of a better birthday present to go and play in those demon apocalyptic waters again.”

Fans Upset About Past Mistakes From Fox That Failed to Highlight One Major Aspect of X-Men’s Cyclops
It’s already a universal sentiment how Fox did a disservice to many X-Men characters, particularly Scott Summers, aka Cyclops. He is one of the major heroes in the story and a founding member of the X-Men, and yet he was constantly pushed to the sideline.

Epic Games’ Fortnite is one of the most popular titles, and it owes its popularity to its amazing gameplay and freedom of customization, not to mention that it’s free to play. The developer also brings in collaborations from time to time that have now become a big part of Fortnite.

Helldivers 2 has been the breakout game of the season and nobody can argue otherwise. The fight to spread managed democracy took off so well that the developers were flabbergasted and had to keep updating their server capabilities to accommodate more and more players.
However, a section of the players, who have been used to the pay-to-win system of other Aaa games do not find the fun and fair system of the game enjoyable. They keep demanding more powerful weapons.
And now, one user has taken to Reddit to smash those complaints and put those players wanting to flex their money and joblessness on others to their rightful place.

There are cult classics, and then there are cult classics. A supreme example of the latter is Solium Infernum, which looked hopelessly dated upon its original 2009 release but whose methodical style of intricate politicking still managed to draw in a very dedicated audience. It also hinges on the player achieving a cult of personality as the ruler of Hell.
This rather extensive remake from Melbourne-based developer League of Geeks loses none of the qualities that made the original so beloved. This Solium Infernum still closely resembles an elaborate board game due to its measured pace and the tactile quality of your demonic holdings, which are represented by sinister-looking cards and occult tokens. But while the remake’s aesthetics owe a clear debt to both Diablo and Civilization, the core game remains one of a kind.

While you can level at your own pace, if you want to claim the rarest and most powerful items in the game first, you’re going to have to speed level. Here’s how.

The Diablo franchise started its life on the PC. Early attempts to port the series to consoles were…mixed. However, Diablo 3 and the Diablo 2 remake both showed that Diablo can actually work on controllers and consoles. Now that Diablo on consoles is an established norm, Diablo 4 is releasing on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. But can each gaming ecosystem cooperate with others, and can players double (or triple) dip without losing progress? Well, “yes” and “yes,” but there are a few things you need to know about the game’s cross-play and cross-progression systems.
As with the Open Beta, Diablo 4 will support cross-play and cross-progression at launch. The former will let you team up with players on other platforms, while the latter will allow you to swap between PC and console versions and keep your character and loot.
To participate in cross-play, you don’t have to do anything special.

The very first iteration of Battle.net let players connect and team up in the original Diablo. Without that game and service, Blizzard might not have gained the foothold it did in the multiplayer gaming landscape. Given that tradition, It’s no surprise that Diablo 4 supports multiplayer. However, the game’s full multiplayer options are so much more substantial than anything we’ve seen in previous Diablo games.
Like its predecessors, Diablo 4 is a dungeon crawler. The goal of the game is to wander around areas infested with the undead and demons, slay everything in your path, and loot their corpses for, well, loot. Dungeon crawlers usually abide by a simple rule: more players equal more monsters, and more monsters equal more loot. If you want to get the most out of Diablo 4, you’re going to have to team up.
For better or for worse, Diablo 4 is an always-online live-service game.

Your choice of class will impact your Diablo 4 experience. Some will find that their enjoyment of the game will depend on whether or not they’ve picked the class that fits them best. However, everyone will eventually discover that some Diablo 4 classes appear to be much more powerful at launch than others.
For the most part, the Diablo 4 team did an excellent job of making every class viable and unique at launch. You can get through as much of the game as you want simply by picking the class you have the most fun with. However, this is still a Diablo game. Some classes are ultimately at least slightly better equipped to handle the game’s various challenges. Hence these rankings.
Actually, I’m going to be ranking Diablo 4‘s classes in two distinct areas: the leveling part of the game and endgame content. Before we get into all of that,...

In the ever-changing world of video games, where competition is intense and fans’ tastes can shift quickly, one title remains constant: Diablo. It’s a series that can always be relied on for its meaty combat and tasty, expansive lore.
Now, emerging from the legacy of its predecessors, Diablo IV, the latest installment from the long-running franchise, takes center stage. Despite straddling the line between past successes and future challenges, Diablo IV proves once again that the march of time has done little to dull the franchise’s razor-sharp fangs.

I never really had any doubt that Diablo 4 would be a fun game. It was easy to lose hours (even days) to Diablo 4’s betas. Through ups and downs, the Diablo games have long been fundamentally enjoyable to play.
What worried me most about Diablo 4 was the game’s live-service structure and all of the things that typically go along with that business model. Microtransactions, content gating, the exhaustion of keeping up with a game that never ends…you don’t have to dive too deep into hypotheticals to see how it could all go wrong. Just look at what happened to Diablo Immortal.
So after finally getting to play the (mostly) full version of Diablo 4, it’s my strange duty to report that Diablo 4’s best qualities often work because of the game’s live service nature rather than in spite of them. It’s an odd dynamic that...

There are certain expectations that come with a new Diablo game. Even though the series has been running since 1997, we’re only now receiving the fourth installment in the form of Diablo IV. The last mainline installment was Diablo III in 2012 and Diablo II before that in the year 2000. Suffice to say that a new Diablo comes every once in a great while and when they do they almost always are a paradigm shift in the action-rpg genre. Countless players have explored the deepest of dungeons and the depths of Hell in search of the almighty loot to add to the addictive power creep and sense of reward and satisfaction that comes with playing this type of game.
So what’s new with Diablo IV? Does it live up to the standard that’s been set by other mainline entries? Well, yes and no.

In the early ’90s, game designer David Brevik took the beloved but financially struggling computer role-playing game (Crpg) genre and stripped it for parts. No elaborate character backstories, no morality system, and no dice roll-based decision-making. In Brevik’s words, he wanted to make an RPG that let you “get in and start smashing things.”
It was a sacrilegious idea to those who saw traditional RPGs as the backbone of the computer gaming scene. Appropriately, Brevik called his idea “Diablo.”
Released in 1997, Diablo was a true game-changer. It boiled the complex Crpg down to its purest form. Pick a class, unleash devastating attacks with the click of a mouse, collect random pieces of tiered loot, and don’t stop until you see the sun. A role-playing experience that used to take hours of setup...

The names of the great RPGs are etched into the history of gaming like caricatures of a civilization’s most legendary heroes upon the walls of a great city. The incredible adventures they take us on often set a standard that many other games try to equal. For as famous as some of the greatest RPGs are, though, not every great RPG has secured its place in history. So many of the genre’s great games remain tragically underrated and overlooked.
Like the most valuable gems found at the bottom of the deepest dungeon, there are so many worthwhile RPGs out there that are waiting to be discovered. Some were buried by circumstance, while others dug their own grave in ways that feel easy to forgive when weighed against their flawed brilliance. The one thing they all have in common is that they exist off the beaten path that only the bravest adventurers dare tread.

To a certain kind of gamer, Diablo is sacrosanct. Arriving for PC in 1997, the first game in the series evoked all the most hellacious phantasmagoria ever dreamt up in a basement-bound Dungeons & Dragons campaign, neatly packaged in an endlessly replayable hack-and-slash RPG. A smash hit, its publisher, Blizzard Entertainment, would quickly follow with with 2000’s Diablo II, and that’s where things really began to heat up.
The highest-selling PC game ever at the time, Diablo II would help cement the legacy of the series as both highly influential and unassailable — at least,...
