CBS’ FBI will have a new person in charge as it heads into a massive three-season renewal.
Rick Eid, who has been showrunner on the series since for all six of its seasons to date, will step down at the end of the season. He’ll remain an executive producer of the show, which comes from Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television in association with CBS Studios. A new showrunner will be named later.
Eid is also the showrunner of another Wolf Entertainment series — NBC’s Law & Order — and will remain at the helm as it heads into its 24th season.

Back in its heyday, How To Get Away With Murder was one of the hottest shows on television.
Thursday nights on ABC were once the night that Shonda Rhimes built from start to finish, with Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and the aforementioned legal drama setting the interwebs on fire every week.

Federation Studios, the Paris-based indie production and sales outfit behind popular French series “The Bureau,” is preparing to hit the sales block, Variety has confirmed.
Federation Studios has started discussions with investment banks in recent weeks for an advisor role, according to Reuters, which was first to report the news and said the banner could be valued at over €500 million ($535 million).
The company, which was founded by industry veteran Pascal Breton, indeed started these preliminary talks with financial advisors months ago and is looking sell to large chunk of the outfit, if not a majority stake, according to sources. The sales process could be launched during the first half of 2024. Federation Studios declined to comment on the reports.
Federation Studios previously ramped up its international business with the backing of Montefiore Investment, a French private equity firm which invested €50 million into the outfit in 2021. Several companies are already potentially interested in the asset.

Exclusive: For Banijay Asia’s Deepak Dhar, 2023 is shaping up to be one of the busiest in a three-decade career in Indian media. He has just launched The Night Manager India on Disney+ Hotstar, is delivering several scripted and unscripted shows and is also working to position India has Banijay’s Asian production hub.
“There are four pillars to our business,” he tells Deadline. “Unscripted, scripted formats, original scripted and developing India as the outsourcing hub for a lot of the rest of Asia.”
The theory is countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh, which share professional and audience taste similarities to India, will use Banijay’s Indian production assets for remakes of formats such as Temptation Island and Survivor. “They can be easily produced here,” says Dhar, who can tap local tax credits to help finance series.

Warner Bros. Discovery has had a rough go of it recently. The newly-formed mega corporation’s decision to callously prune HBO Max’s servers of hours of content has led to mountains of bad PR and billions of dollars in market cap losses. Suffice it to say, a jam-packed list of new HBO Max releases for September 2022 would provide some welcome relief for the “House of the House of the Dragon.”
Unfortunately, HBO Max’s new releases this month are uncommonly light. It’s impossible to say whether this is the result of more Wbd meddling or simply some bad scheduling luck but either way it’s not going to make any executives’ seats less warm. There are only a handful of notable originals this month, led by season 2 of the Spanish language comedy Los Espookys on Sept. 16. That is joined by a pair of documentaries, Escape from Kabul on Sept.

Rome’s growing Mia market, dedicated to international TV series, feature films and documentaries, has secured a rich roster of fresh international product in various stages and announced a clutch of prominent U.S. and European execs set to make the trek for the mostly in-person Oct. 13-17 event.
While companies such as ITV Studios, Banijay and Fremantle are either bowing out or reducing their presence at the Oct. 11-14 Mipcom market in Cannes — and the AFM has gone entirely online — Mia seems to be succeeding in luring a robust group of international industry heavyweights. They are also boasting a 30% increase in completed films screening on its film market side while some 80 new European film, TV and doc projects will be pitched to prospective partners.

Teen drama One Tree Hill ended its nine-season run in 2012, and there hasn't been a show quite like it since.
Many of the actors catapulted into stardom thanks to the series and are now killing it on both the big and small screen. Meanwhile, others have removed themselves from the spotlight completely.
However, nothing bonds a group of strangers quite like a TV show. Their bond has remained strong, and they continue to hang out and keep in touch with fans at conventions which have also kept the legacy of the series alive for new and old fans alike.
There are even talks of a possible revival in the near-future.
So, let's return to Tree Hill and see what your basketball-loving, small-town actors have been up to since the series wrapped.

When Dylan McDermott first read the role of Captain Dave in the Fox comedy “La to Vegas” he knew instantly that “this is the guy I’ve been waiting for.” McDermott, who did stand-up in New York and grew up admiring Peter Sellers, was “looking to do something different” from the heavy dramas that made him a star. “I love this absurd humor,” he reveals, “and Captain Dave obviously is absurd, so I was just completely attracted to him.” Dave is the drunken, womanizing pilot of a budget airline whose main flight is a weekend route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Watch our exclusive video interview with McDermott above.
