Steve Burton is back as Jason Morgan on “General Hospital” beginning with the Monday, March 4 episode, but it looks like he has blood on his hands instead of rubble keeping him down.
In a first-look photo released by People, the outlet reveals that when Jason returns to the canvas, he’ll have been shot for the umpteenth time while wearing one of his signature black shirts and black leather gloves.
From what can be gathered, Jason is involved in a shootout that ends up with a bullet lodged in his lower left abdomen. Jason uses his right hand to assess his current situation as he leans on a dumpster for support. His ungloved hand is covered in blood.
So what causes Jason’s predicament? You’ll have to tune in to find out, but we think the Friday, March 1 episode will be particularly interesting to watch as things always have...

Steve Burton will officially be returning to General Hospital. The return of Burton, who famously played Jason Morgan from 1991 until 2021, was announced during General Hospital’s 60th Anniversary special on Jan. 4. His return to General Hospital isn’t the only big news the actor dropped this week. The famed soap star revealed he would leave Days of Our Lives just a day earlier.
Steve Burton will reprise his role in ‘General Hospital’
Steve Burton will leave Salem and return to Part Charles this year. Burton, who first appeared on General Hospital in 1991, will return to the soap opera for the first time since 2021. He is set to reprise his role as Jason Morgan, who was written out of the show with a tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island more than two years ago. Writers left the door open for Burton, and it looks like the presumed-dead Morgan will pop back up.

Former Days of Our Lives actress Lisa Rinna took to social media to expose the show for its “disgusting” and “hostile” set environment on the soap.
Rinna was cast on the iconic show as Billie Reed in the 1990s, and later reprised the role for a week in 2018 and in the 2021 spinoff series, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.
This week, Rinna shared a photo of director and co-executive producer Albert Alarr, who has been the subject of a nine-week investigation into accusations of workplace misconduct.
“Karma is a b—,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
She then followed up with another post, in which she exposed Alarr and other people on set for ignoring complaints.
“Well, this took a long time… the last time I went over there and did that week on Peacock I couldn’t believe the work environment,” she said. “It was disgusting, I was shocked.

Megan wasn't kidding when she said it was time she became a full-fledged Dimera.
The long-presumed-dead former Miss Hathaway is proving herself to be the biggest badass in Salem.
She's the supervillain I didn't know I needed. Too bad certain other villains ruined her triumph on Days of Our Lives during the week of 5-29-23 by wreaking unnecessary havoc elsewhere.
The Dimeras have spawned a few great villains. Stefano is the most infamous, but Andre is a close second, combining class and charm with a cold ruthlessness and determination to get whatever he wants, other people's well-being be damned.
Megan has the same classiness to her. She dresses like a diva, speaks softly but with calculation, and has planned her next fifteen to twenty moves before uttering a word. Like her father, she has a chess player's sense of strategy, making her a formidable opponent.

Grace scored a nod in the Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series category but was mistakenly submitted in the category.
According to official rules for the Daytime Emmys, performers must be “no older than 18 years old on at least January 1, 2022,” which disqualified Grace from entry as she turned 21 in 2021.
“I was honored to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy and to be recognized by the Academy. Unfortunately, there was a huge misunderstanding across the board regarding the rules for this year’s category,” read the statement Grace shared on Instagram.

Time to get more sand for the hourglass. “Days of Our Lives” has been renewed by Peacock for two more seasons, which means the iconic soap opera will make it to at least its landmark 60th season.
“Days of Our Lives” moved to Peacock in September, having previously aired on NBC since 1965. “Days” was NBC’s longest-running drama series before switching to Peacock in 2022.
This new two-year deal for Seasons 59 and 60 reps a much swifter and calmer renewal for “Days” than it has experienced in recent years, when deal between NBC and Sony Pictures Television (which distributes the soap) seemed to always come down to the wire. As ratings declined for soaps, that has been a perennial issue at the networks (where the tally on broadcast nets now stands at just three — two on CBS and one on ABC).

When we think of old age, we think of wisdom (charitably) or frailty (less charitably), the weathered faces of elders showing us our future. Or consider a more spritely vision of the aging process: Think of colorful scarves and oversized knits. What about silk robes and high-collared shirts? Maybe a glass of red wine on ice?
This is the paradise that retirement age has to offer not our society’s aged, but rather Mack, the frazzled “old soul” at the center of Katie Aselton’s age-swap comedy “Mack & Rita.”
Written by Madeline Walter and Paul Welsh (both alums of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), the gentle film takes quirky introvert Mack out of her comfort zone of books and linen clothing and into her best friend Carla’s bachelorette party. It’s there that Mack realizes just how unlike other girls she really is, balking at the non-stop parade of selfies and mimosas.

NBC’s iconic daytime soap “Days of Our Lives” might not have had a chance for survival if not for its move to Peacock, one of the show’s Emmy-winning directors, Scott McKinsey, told fans in a Facebook message Friday.
McKinsey took to social media to assure “Days of Our Lives” fans that, from what he knows, “there will be no perceptible change to the show as it moves from NBC to Peacock.”
“Iow,” he wrote, “the show has not been canceled, and/or ‘picked up’ by Peacock. This is a big difference from the sad demise of ABC’s [‘One Life to Live’] and [‘All My Children’]. All of your favorite characters will remain on the show for the foreseeable future. In fact, the prospect of ‘Days’ remaining in production for the long term just increased as a result of this move. Without Peacock, ‘Days’ might have been numbered on the Network.

Legendary daytime show “Days of Our Lives” is leaving broadcast for streaming.
The long-running soap will depart NBC for its streaming service Peacock starting Sept. 12, it was announced Wednesday.
“This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers,” Mark Lazarus, chairman, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement. “With a large percentage of the ‘Days of Our Lives’ audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.”

If you thought you had seen the last of Robert Scott Wilson on NBC‘s daytime drama Days of Our Lives, you’re in for a big surprise! Wilson and his longtime alter ego, reformed serial killer Ben Weston, said goodbye to Salem earlier this month, and — after a stint last week on the second chapter of Peacock’s Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem — it seemed the character had his happily ever after. “There are places in our show where a cinematic approach enhances the storytelling in a big way,” said Nelson in a statement. “Yes, we are absolutely pushing the envelope in terms of putting music to picture in our genre… And sure, we could settle for a string section half this size.

Beyoncé is among the first-time nominees at this year Daytime Emmys, as the National Academy of Arts & Sciences announced the ceremony’s 2022 nominations on Thursday.
The singer is nominated in the original song category for her theme song to Facebook Watch’s “Talks with Mama Tina.” Overall this year, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” received the most Daytime Emmy nominations, with 18, followed closely by ABC’s “General Hospital,” with 17. Among outlets, syndicated fare earned the top tally, with 48 nods for various program distributors, followed by two broadcasters tied on top: ABC and CBS, both with 31.
Among this year’s other key highlights: The Daytime Drama category — which has been shrinking since the broadcast networks reduced their serial output — has expanded back to five nominees for the first time since 2014.
That’s thanks to Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,” which will go up against stalwarts “The Bold and the Beautiful...
