Sammy Hagar joined The Killers onstage during the latter’s set at the Ohana Festival for a rendition of Van Halen’s “Why Can’t This Be Love.”
After bringing out Eddie Vedder for a cover of Tom Petty’s “The Waiting” earlier during the September 29th set, The Killers were joined by a much more unpredictable guest: The Red Rocker.
Considering Hagar wasn’t even on the bill for the Ohana Festival, it was extra surprising to see the one-time Van Halen frontman suddenly appear onstage for the alt-rock band’s encore.
“Is it too late to blow your minds again?” asked frontman Brandon Flowers. “It might keep you up. Sammy Hagar…”
As Hagar emerged from stage left, the band launched into Van Halen’s “Why Can’t This Be Love” — notably Hagar’s first big hit with his old band after he took over for David Lee Roth.

A new Van Halen box set, The Collection II, has been announced and will arrive on October 6th via Rhino.
Following the 2015 set, The Collection, which housed the band’s first six albums with David Lee Roth, The Collection II will cull the four Van Halen albums featuring singer Sammy Hagar in addition to several studio rarities and a B-side.

The Collection II will compile these records together for the first time on vinyl ($124.98) and CD ($49.98). A fifth disc, titled Studio Rarities 1989-2004, is especially of note for hardcore Van Halen enthusiasts. Charlie is ready to take the stage in the new trailer and poster for the upcoming horror comedy film Cannibal Comedian from writer/director Sean Haitz.
The preview follows a psychopathic cannibal (Aaron Prager) fed up with his lack of ambition who decides to try his hand at standup comedy in an attempt to satisfy his appetite for normalcy, explains the press release, which includes poster art designed by Rafael Aráujo.
“Set in the modern-day American west, the film pairs dark, over-the-top humor and rampaging horror at full throttle. Littered with scary, grotesque, and wildly energetic characters, Cannibal Comedian is a love letter to stand-up comedy and horror films such as Tobe Hooper’s 1974 cannibal classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, of which two of the original cast members lend their talents here with involvement from original cast members Edwin Neal, most known for his unforgettable role as The Hitchhiker (A.
