Another typical video performance, business as usual with The Smiths in front of a happy audience but this one has some cool interesting highpoints. One is Morrissey's
performance, singing with heart and soul about the miseries of life when one finds what he wants but isn't totally satisfied with his current status (of looking for a job
and the finding the job since some things aren't always cracked up to be). His expressions are poetic, heartfelt and you can feel that he gives his heart away while singing
those lyrics. Another cool aspect is those mirrored glasses Johnny Marr wears, it's cool as hell.
The settings are all to similar with their videos for "Sheila Take a Bow" and "What Difference Does it Make?", they're so equal that it's easy to get confused. So, those
pointed aspects give some distinction to this video and I rank it a little higher than the others. But as usual with this magnificent group, the songs is the real reason why
we love seeing them, to remember great musical moments and enjoy over and over. It's been a favorite of mine for more than two decades. 8/10.
