- Quotes
Harlan Ellison: Most writers I know run that idiotic number about "Oh, I like to have written but I don't like to write. It's hard work."... Of course it's hard work. If it weren't hard work, everybody would be doing it. And the better you do it, the harder the work is... Art is supposed to be hard.

Seems Angry He's Not Really Famous
Harland Ellison has written so much, and normal people don't care, really, about him, about HIM... so he seems angry about it, and raging, which is pretty entertaining. I personally find his writing to be a bit ham-handed. Like... sort of... overwriting. His personality though is entertaining. An entertaining chore. And even that aspect about him is pretty unknown. He's a kind of cult writer's cult writer's cult of personality. And I think he'd rather be as famous as those he's filed lawsuits against. But this is a good documentary, very snappy and rambling, like he was.
