While '7th Heaven' is always a good intentioned show this episode was unbelievably and painfully heavy-handed, asking us to believe that Eric is powerful enough to be able to make 11 jurors change their minds on the strength of his hunch.
You can almost imagine an alternate version of this where he is the one juror not bowing down to such pressure, but either way this simply did not work as a story for me.
Other than allowing Barry Watson to do a bit of light comedy the Matt storyline largely flopped too, and we've seen the Mary/Lucy plot a million times before.
As for the Simon one, it was so slight what really was the point?
Perhaps the worst episode of this normally wonderful show I've seen.
