Matthew Feig is a genius
vodaprone15 February 2006
Matthew Feig's major writing debut in the film industry is pure genius! He demonstrates that he not only can write those epic scenes with complicated wit, but he can transcend the normal media of the Blockbuster by incorporating silence, stillness, and sincerity. This film was stirring and heartfelt, not two adjectives commonly found describing a comedy. But this was somehow more than you t.v. dinner approach to film writing. The audience laughed and cried, and sometimes laughed so hard that they cried. Wrinkles had me so entranced that I didn't even finish my popcorn, and though I was on a first date when I saw this film, I felt like we had somehow developed a camaraderie, that we had experienced something real together by watching Wrinkles. This has got to be one of the top films of the last 250 years.
