- Dan: How can you have faith in something you can't see?
- Dr. Anne Williams: Faith is trust in the unseen.
- Dan: And you believe that?
- Dr. Anne Williams: Yes I do. Dan, you have faith that... that the air rushing over your wing will create lift, so your plane can fly. You have faith in something you can't see.
- Dan: Maybe I do.
- Tony Williams: [Dan thinking about Tony's words] I can't lose another child. She'll listen to you Dan. She loved you. Just try.
- Dan: Mateo, you wanna know how to honour my generosity?
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: Absolutely, anything you say, Dan. Anything I'll be glad.
- Dan: Zip it.
- Tony Williams: Hello, Dan.
- Dan: What do you want Tony?
- Tony Williams: I need your help.
- Dan: I don't see that happening.
- Salazar: [Speaking in Spanish] I will return your men when you decide to grow my coca. These are my terms.
- Dr. Anne Williams: These people answer to a higher power than you.
- Salazar: A higher power? I too answer to higher powers. They will answer to me.
- Dr. Anne Williams: Haven't you given them enough misery?
- Salazar: It is you who has filled their heads with fantasies. Fantasies about Heaven and about hell. Maybe it would be better for them if it was you who left.
- Dan: Why do you keep coming back here? Must be a safer place for you to do your missionary thing.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: Daniel, my safety is of no concern. There is no better place to be than in the center of God's will. Unless it's in His presence.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: [Referring to Amazing Grace, the song] You know that song was written by a former slave trader, John Newton. A vile man whose life was transformed by God. and God saw it to put in his heart such beautiful music.
- Jim: Okay, so explain the part about how we find him.
- Dan: Take a low pass, see if we can spot him.
- Jim: Uh-huh. Okay. Let's jump ahead then. If we find him, how're we gonna get him out?
- Dan: I'm not sure about that yet.
- Jim: You know, I bet you were the kinda guy who did his homework the night before it was due, huh?
- Dan: Nope. Did it on the way to school.
- Dr. Anne Williams: Dan, be careful. This is the area they mined.
- Dan: Mined? Why would they mine a church?
- Dr. Anne Williams: To keep us out. They don't realize God is in our hearts, not in a building.
- Dan: Why are you in this God forsaken place?
- Dr. Anne Williams: It's not God forsaken.
- Dan: Dear God... I've been lost a long time. Too long. Like one of those sheep. Forgive me, Lord, for... my life. Everything I've done. My sins. Accept me oh Lord as I give my life to you. In the name of Jesus Christ let me walk in His ways.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: I'm a peaceful man, I would not harm you.
- Soldier: Don't move.
- [Dan hits the soldier over the head knocking him unconscious]
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: Well, I said I wouldn't harm him, but I didn't say anything about you.
- Dan: No, you didn't.
- Dan: Well?
- Dr. Anne Williams: The chief has decided that we'll leave.
- Dan: Atta boy chief.
- Dr. Anne Williams: The whole village, everybody.
- Dan: That's ridiculous. We can't get all those people into the plane.
- Dr. Anne Williams: We can if you take the seats out.
- Dan: We''ll be overweight. We'll never get off the ground.
- Dr. Anne Williams: I'm not gonna leave these people here.
- Dan: I can't leave you here.
- Dr. Anne Williams: Then It's settled. We'll all go together. You got to have faith, Dan.
- Dan: It's gonna take more than faith.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: Excuse me, buen probecho. I hear you are going to Alto Risco?
- Dan: Yeah... I am.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: Excellent. That is a blessing.
- Dan: Why?
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: I'll go with you.
- Dan: Huh, I don't think so.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: It's wonderful man. You know for days I had no idea how I was gonna get the villagers their shipment... I had no clue. And I prayed and God was so faithful. You're a, you're a gift from Heaven, Dan. You know, God sent you.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: I have wonderful news for you. The chief forgives you.
- Dan: Forgives me? For what?
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: For forcing him to hit you with a club.
- Dan: That's big of him.
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: You're actually worried we're not going to make it?
- Dan: We're eight-hundred pounds overweight!
- Dr. Mateo Barrero: So, this is a big plane, is that too much?
- Dan: The last time I flew an overloaded plane it crashed.
