A quote from Chairman Mao regarding the nature of revolutions was removed from original English prints out of fear that audiences would misinterpret the quote's use as an endorsement of communist revolution. The quote was later put back into uncut prints.
Uncut English-language prints of the film use 'Duck You Sucker' as its title, while edited reissues use 'A Fistful of Dynamite', with 'Duck, You Sucker' in smaller print and in parenthesis underneath.
The film's title does not appear until the end (similar to Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)), and the film's final shot is a close-up of the main character reflecting on events that he has recently seen (similar to Once Upon a Time in America (1984)).
A relatively small number of major and supporting cast members are credited at the beginning of the film. Other actors from the film are credited at the end in alphabetical order, without stating the roles that they played.
Antoine Saint-John is credited as 'Dominigo Antoine' on Italian prints, while English prints refer to him as 'Jean Michel Antoine'. 'Vivienne Maya' and David Warbeck are not credited for playing John's girlfriend and Nolan respectively on Italian prints, but are credited on English prints in that order.
