When she leaves for the kitchen, he discovers an envelope containing Forrester's best-kept secret. The arrival of a sad looking Stephanie puts an end to Jake's and Felicia's romantic evening. She is concerned about the bond that the joint experience of child birth might have created between Ridge and Brooke. Sheila finds out from Eric that Ridge helped Brooke to deliver the baby in the cabin. She makes a beeline to the hospital and tells Dr. Peters that she would love to learn more about genetics. Tracy is impressed and eventually opens up to Sheila volunteering at her lab. Sheila gets panicky, though, when Tracy explains that she will not get security clearance for the genetics lab until a couple of weeks because of a mandatory security background check. Brooke announces that she will not name her until the results of the paternity test are in. Thorne and Macy mutually accuse each other of disrespecting their marital vows. Brooke then reveals that she wants to call her Bridget, a combination of the names Brooke and Ridge.
- Unbeknownst to Macy, Sally has hired Diane Brown, a well-known divorce attorney. The matter-of-fact manner in which the lawyer takes on the case, e.g. discussing grounds for divorce and alimony, completely upsets Macy. Macy flees home and records a message for Thorne in which she asks him to give their marriage one last chance. But will Macy actually let Thorne know this? Meanwhile, Taylor visits Thorne at the office. Thorne admits that he feels bad for failing his marriage and cannot forget Macy. However, he has given up hope that their relationship is salvageable. Brooke feigns disappointment that Taylor did not join him, yet also points out that it might be for the best. Sheila is fielded with questions by Nancy, a co-worker, about her engagement to Eric. Meanwhile, Stephanie is curious why Eric has postponed his wedding plans for after the fashion show. Eric remains vague, but admits that she played a part in his decision. This prompts Stephanie to question Eric about his fiancée's recent trip to Genoa City. Sheila is about to walk into Eric's office, but quickly stops when she catches Eric and Stephanie embracing. This does not go unnoticed by Stephanie who thinks that Miss Carter spied on them. Later, after being called an opportunist and threatened by Stephanie, Sheila hatches a plan to stop the Forrester Matriarch. She pulls a white powder from the medicine cabinet at the infirmary.
- Eric and Ridge make last minute touches to their new collection and muse about the upcoming Spectra Fashions fashion show. Meanwhile, Sally boasts to Saul that their Forrester rip-offs will make them a lot of money - and that she feels no guilt about it in light of the family's treatment of her and Macy in recent years. Later, Saul is disappointed when Sally bails on a meeting with him to sweet-talk with Jack instead. Stephanie tells Taylor that she finally saw Sheila's true colors: she is certain that Miss Carter is hiding something and harboring hidden anger inside her. Meanwhile, Sheila is still furious over the way Stephanie treated her earlier. She vows to herself that she is going to make sure that her nemesis will not get Eric back. Sheila goes to see Eric and pretends that it does not bother her that he is having dinner with Stephanie tonight. Ridge surprises Taylor with a romantic setting at the Guest House and expresses that he wants to underline how much their marriage means to him. Ridge voices again that he would love for Taylor to be a part of his daughter's life. Just as Taylor says that she is not ready yet, the sound of screaming infant can be heard from the bedroom.
- Sheila spikes Eric's drink with the powder from the infirmary. Just as Sheila wants to escort Eric to the car, he begins to feel dizzy. Thorne keeps Stephanie company while she waits for her dinner guest to arrive; they are both surprised that super-punctual Eric is running late. Over at Forrester Creations, Eric is overcome with a strong urge to get up, close and personal with Sheila due to the drug. They begin to kiss passionately and eventually make love on the conference table. Brooke explains to Karen that she regrets giving in to Ridge's request to have Bridget for the evening to make another attempt to have Taylor bond with his child. They suppose that Ridge's plan could backfire, though, if Taylor is really not ready to face the little girl. At first, Taylor does indeed feel very uneasy about being blindsided by her husband. Feeling pressured, she even tells Ridge to bring Bridget back to her mother immediately. Suddenly, Taylor wants to hold the baby. Taylor is smitten with Bridget, but cannot help but sense sadness that she and Ridge have no children yet. Ridge reassures her that they eventually will have kids.

Stephanie is thrilled that Eric is honoring his commitment. She asks him to dance and they remember the good old days. Eric and Stephanie are concerned when the patent lawyer calls and says there is a problem with the patent for the BeLieF formula. Taylor and Ridge get ready for the evening after making love. Later, Brooke and Taylor play nice, yet both women use any opportunity to stress their respective special connection to Ridge. Taylor becomes upset at dinner when she sees Ridge and Brooke focusing on Bridget. Taylor leaves the table and begins to cry.
- Eric and Stephanie are anxious to find out what the problem is in the patent application. Steve Crown has stunning news: the fact that Brooke does not have a written employment contract with Forrester Creations, nor does she receive a salary, may cause problems, namely that the company is not holder of the patent. Stephanie and Eric are shocked to learn that in Steve's opinion Brooke - who might not qualify as an employee - legally owns the BeLieF formula. Macy opens up to Sally that Thorne's rejection continues to hurt her badly. Sally advises her daughter to accept the inevitable divorce; she is more concerned about Macy's drinking. Later, Macy receives another poem and rose anonymously, but suspects it is from Sly. Ridge gives his first-born a family heirloom, a baby rattle. Taylor feels overwhelmed. Ridge is surprised that Taylor is upset by the dinner party while Brooke feels that she is getting closer to winning back the man of her dreams.
- Sheila is shocked when Eric casually mentions that Lauren and her husband Scott will attend their wedding. At Café Russe, Brooke plays with the obvious affection of her date, attorney Connor Davis. Connor confesses that he always had a thing for Brooke and was thrilled when she accepted his invitation to meet for the first time in years. In light of Brooke's accidental presence at the same restaurant, Taylor urges Ridge to ignore her latest stunt to make him jealous. Ridge admits that it hits him hard that Brooke is dating his high school rival of all people. Later, Connor wonders if Brooke wanted Ridge to see them. She replies by asking him out on another rendezvous. This prompts Connor to reveal that he would like to spend the night with her. Brad Carlton arrives in Los Angeles: Brad makes it clear that he wants Sheila to give him the incriminating photos of him and Lauren. Sheila rejects this and counters that she is willing to go extreme measures to protect her new life. Brad does not back down that easily, though, and threatens to speak to Eric.
- Bitter enemies Sheila and Lauren have their most epic fight, yet. Dressed in her wedding gown, Sheila tackles Lauren and almost kills her with a fire poker. Lauren then manages to overpower Sheila and rips her dress in shreds. With blood dripping from her face and a knife in her hand, Lauren manages to escape with the intention to tell the Forresters the sordid truth about Sheila Carter. Unfortunately, nobody is at home when Lauren arrives at the Forrester Mansion. At Forrester Creations, Eric and Stephanie learn from their attorney Steve that a new man has entered Brooke's life who could greatly complicate their matter of the BeLieF patent. After showing Taylor a cute dress he bought for Bridget, Ridge leaves to see Brooke and the children. Ridge is dismayed to realize that he is not the first visitor at Brooke's apartment. His high school-rival Connor Davis has been spending the afternoon with Brooke, Eric Jr. and Bridget. Alone, Brooke tells Ridge that she will only stop seeing Connor if he divorces Taylor and marries her instead.
- Brooke explains to Karen that she can relate completely to Sheila who is experiencing the same pains with Stephanie that she did. On cue, Sheila arrives at the condo. While Brooke says goodbye to Karen, Sheila is repulsed by how dirty Eric Jr. is and decides that - as his step-mother - she will have to take an active role with the boy. Sheila then asks Brooke to be her maid of honor. Brooke accepts the offer. Eric wants Thorne to be his best man, but he refuses. Eric is furious that his own son cannot be happy for him. - Sheila reminds Lauren that she is holding the trump card to ruin her family. Lauren counters that she will not let Sheila dictate her life anymore and does not care about the photographs which prove her adulterous affair with Brad. Lauren says that she will only keep quiet about Sheila's past if her nemesis exits quietly today and will not marry Eric. Inside the chapel, Stephanie, Thorne and Kristen anxiously await word whether Lauren is able to stop the wedding. The other guests include Jack, Karen and Bill. Brooke happily notices how well Connor is handling her infant daughter Bridget. Ridge is upset when he sees Brooke with Connor and the kids at the wedding. Brooke uses the opportunity to reiterate her stance: Ridge must let her know if he will come back to her by the end of the day or she will go on with her relationship with Connor. Meanwhile, Taylor introduces herself to Connor and makes an appointment with him. Sheila tells Lauren that she is going through with the wedding. Lauren replies that she will then humiliate her in front of everyone. Seemingly unaffected, the ceremony begins and goes through without a hitch - until the Reverend is asking whether anyone has objections. Lauren arises.
- Sly is annoyed when Keith gives him a hard time about Macy's propensity for alcohol. Sly tells Keith that his younger brother will not get a position at Bikini Bar unless he stays away from Macy. Later, Keith gives his younger brother instructions for the trial day in his new job. Kevin - who is mentally challenged - worries if he will be able to do a good job as a busboy. Meanwhile, Karen stops by at the bar and offers to help Macy with her drinking problem. Macy coldly rejects Karen's offer and decides to get drunk instead. Intoxicated, Macy accidentally knocks over Kevin's dishes which prompts Sly to yell at his newest employee. Kevin feels really bad, especially for disappointing his brother. At Spectra Fashions, Jack informs Taylor that he proposed to Sally. He wants to wait on getting married until the feud between the Forresters and Spectras has cooled off. As a first step, Jack asks Taylor and Sally to bond so that they can become friends.
- Brooke cannot get over the miraculous twist that Stephanie invited her to a family dinner. Connor supposes that maybe Stephanie no longer considers her a threat now that she is dating a man who is not a Forrester. Connor does not miss the chance to urge Brooke to give up on Ridge and focus on him. Stephanie and Eric have another discussion about the patent case with their lawyer. Steve suggests that they trick Brooke into signing a predated employment contract so that the creation of BeLieF will fall to the company. Eric refuses to be unethical, but is not happy to hear that Brooke will be bringing an attorney as her date tonight. Ridge is surprised when Taylor mentions that she had lunch with Connor. They soon argue because Taylor claims that Connor could be a good fit for Brooke. Kevin is looking very much forward to have his first proper job and work together with his brother. It therefore breaks Keith's heart to tell a crushed Kevin that he did not get the position as busboy at Bikini Bar.
- Thorne is surprised that Karen is unhappy with the status of their relationship. Karen wants a commitment from him, but Thorne only retorts that his divorce is not even final yet and he cannot see himself getting married anytime soon. Ridge is furious when he learns that Eric used Steve to find out what Brooke thinks about the Forresters. Sheila is disappointed in Taylor's lack of compassion towards her. Taylor explains that a marital status does not mean that they have to be best friends. Sheila then warns Taylor not to cross her now that she is married to Eric. Later, Eric introduces Sheila to Jon Henderson, a real estate broker that is supposed to help finding the perfect home for the newlyweds. At Big Bear, Ridge and Taylor celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Taylor tells Ridge that she wants to have a baby - and if he agrees she will throw away her birth control pills.
- Macy stuns Thorne with a confession of her continuing love. He suspects that it is just the alcohol talking. A tenacious Macy presses Thorne to own up to his feelings, too. Keith tries to calm down Sly who is upset over watching Thorne and Macy in this tense conversation. Thorne instructs Macy to tell him her true feelings when she has not been drinking. They kiss and agree to meet again the next morning. Connor visits Taylor to fish for information about Stephanie's sudden interest in patching things up with Brooke. Meanwhile, Ridge is spending the evening with Brooke and Bridget. Eventually, Ridge addresses Brooke's recent ultimatum. He reminds her that he is a married man and nothing will change that. To prove his point, Ridge informs Brooke that he and Taylor are considering starting a family. Brooke remains cool and gives Ridge one month to realize the mistake he is making by letting her go.
- Karen and Connor remark on the fact that they both fell for someone who did not reciprocate these feelings. They are equally surprised that their paths intertwined and that they share a lot of chemistry with each other. Connor and Karen kiss again passionately. Meanwhile, Ridge announces that he will be staying with Taylor. Brooke is devastated because she did not see this coming at all. Brooke calls Karen to find out where Connor is. Karen does not tell Brooke that he is with her. Eric and Stephanie are overjoyed that Ridge chose Taylor and still got Brooke to sign the BeLieF contract. After Eric leaves to go home, Stephanie decides to pay Brooke a visit to gloat. Taylor is about to surrender when Ridge tells his overjoyed wife that he has decided to stay with her.
- Stephanie barges into Brooke's condo. Ignoring her nemesis' remarks that she already had a terrible evening, Stephanie announces that it is bound to get a lot worse: The Forrester matriarch relishes in the fact that Brooke lost all ties and claims to the Forrester family tonight. Brooke is incredulous. Stephanie reveals that Brooke relinquished all rights for BeLieF by signing the contract that Ridge gave her. Brooke continues to be confused citing her work on the formula as a product of her job at Forrester Creations. Stephanie stresses to Brooke that Ridge duped her into signing away her rights before dumping her for good. Stephanie orders Brooke to stay away from her family and her company from now on. Brooke is crushed. Ridge and Taylor celebrate his homecoming. Ridge then tells Taylor to get rid of her birth control pills so they can have a baby. Taylor is naturally thrilled. Keith interrupts Sally's and Jack's evening by filling them in that Macy is still drinking and has become addicted to alcohol. Sally is shocked and wants to enlist professional help immediately. Keith explains that he has done lots of research and apparently it has to be Macy who seeks help to make it work. Sally agrees to go along with Keith's plan.
- Sally breaks it to Darla and Saul that Macy has not quit drinking. Darla has a hard time believing that her dear friend is not only addicted but also hiding this fact from everyone else. Sally explains that this is part of the disease. Kevin notices that Keith has been reading all night about alcoholism. Later, Keith asks Sally, Darla and Saul to help him perform an intervention with Macy. Hiding her first drink of the day in a coffee mug, Macy asks Sly if he thinks that she is an alcoholic. Sly, afraid to lose Macy, lies and agrees with her that she is still in control over her drinking habits. Connor awakes in the living room of the Spencer condo. Karen informs him that Brooke called last night after Ridge chose Taylor. They dance around the topic whether this will have an impact on their blossoming feelings. Connor leaves for the office to read the file on the patent application for BeLieF. He discovers one important detail: Brooke never signed an employment contract with Forrester Creations while she did her research work. Connor rejoices that this means that Brooke owns the patent.
- Macy and Thorne are on cloud nine. Even when Thorne checks up on his wife's morning coffee to be sure that it is not spiked with alcohol, Macy takes this completely relaxed and stresses again that she has overcome her urge to drink. Across town, Kevin's conscience is weighing heavy on him because he is certain that Macy drank before her stage comeback even though she denied it and swore him to secrecy. Keith urges Kevin to tell him his secret. Later, Kevin calls Macy to inform her that his brother knows that he is keeping something from him. Macy urges Kevin to wait until she can talk to him in person at the Bikini Bar. Jack wants to comfort Stephanie, but she prefers for him to leave. Sally remains tight-lipped about the reason for her called off wedding when Darla remarks that it made her happy to see Sally and Jack spending time together again. Karen walks into the office to share the spectacular news that Brooke is now majority shareholder of Forrester Creations. Saul unsuccessfully tries to hold back Sally who jubilates that mighty Queen Stephanie has finally been defeated, by a little girl from the other side of the tracks no less. Sally makes a beeline over to the Forrester Mansion to berate Stephanie as Jack watches in horror, out of Sally's sight.
- Ridge is still angry with Brooke for kissing him earlier and her obvious display of affection for Connor to make him jealous. Ignoring his remarks, Brooke then opens her first board meeting: she announces to Eric, Stephanie, Ridge and Thorne that she wants a more efficient business and less infighting at Forrester Creations. Sheila tries to mediate between Brooke and the Forresters as the atmosphere is tense. Connor then reveals that Eric and Ridge are supposed to continue as lead designers, yet the day-to-day operations will get streamlined resulting in a drastic cut of their competences. Karen informs Bill that she is tired of men and will be focusing on turning Spectra Fashions around from now on. Bill warns his daughter against using her work as a crutch - and to follow his own mistakes. Jack is curious to find out if Taylor is pregnant yet. Taylor gets testy and eventually admits that she feels like competing with Brooke when it comes to have a child with Ridge - and that she might lose this competition. Connor is confused when Brooke acts as if nothing changed. He pulls back from her kiss and informs her that he wants their relationship to be purely professional for the present time. Later, Connor asks Karen out to dinner while Sheila eavesdrops.
- Stephanie informs Taylor that Sally claims to be pregnant by Jack. Taylor on the other hand confides in her mother-in-law that she is concerned about Ridge's questionable plan to appease the tense situation at Forrester Creations. Ridge tells Brooke that he is unhappy with their current feuding relationship and would like to be friends again. Karen correctly suspects Connor kissed her because he had a fight with Brooke. Karen urges Connor to call Brooke and apologize. Connor is shocked when Ridge, not Brooke, answers the phone. Connor therefore asks Karen out for dinner. Later, Ridge is furious when Brooke reveals that she told Connor about Bridget's paternity and storms out.
- Brooke is very pleased by Sheila's work. Sheila eavesdrops as Connor accuses Brooke of spending the evening with Ridge. Ridge is thrilled to find Taylor playing with Bridget. He then explains that his attempt to patch things up with Brooke hit a snag after he learned that she told Connor of Bridget's paternity. Eric is confused that Stephanie supports Ridge's wild plan to get back into Brooke's good graces to rectify the mess at the company. Brooke is furious when she realizes Taylor, not Ridge, took care of Bridget today. Thrilled that Brooke gave her the task to conduct interviews with job applicants, Sheila is in for a shock when none other than hospital security guard Mike Guthrie shows up. Mike pressures Sheila to hire him as the head of security of Forrester Creations or he will tell Brooke that she switched the labels on the blood samples for the paternity test of her child.
- Sheila becomes irritated by Mike's threats on his very first day at work. She reminds him that neither of them knows whether the paternity test was actually altered - and his new career at Forrester Creations could be short-lived if he will not keep his mouth shut. Brooke is confused by Ridge's offer. He reminds her that they have been a great team before and could strike gold again. Eventually, Brooke decides to hire Ridge as her menswear designer. Sheila is not happy with Brooke's decision because it will likely limit her influence on her dear friend and boss. Taylor assures Thorne that she trusts Ridge in his attempt to befriend Brooke. Thorne is not as confident that Ridge and Brooke will stop at friendship. Later, Dr. Warwick stops by at Taylor's office. In spite of concerns about her lack of neutrality by counseling her mentor, she decides to accept him as her patient. Macy worries that her mother is following her unhealthy pattern with Thorne by keeping things to herself. Sally refuses to tell Jack the truth about the onset of her menopause, though, because she fears that this will make her less desirable for him.
- Stephanie comforts Eric who has hit a creative block and seems to be falling apart under the pressure of working for Brooke. Sheila daydreams of running Forrester Creations. In reality Sheila feels pestered by Mike, but grasps what she has to do next: she informs Connor that Brooke chose his foe Ridge as head designer for the men's line and encourages him to put a stop to it. Connor is naturally furious. His sour mood is soon taken care of by Karen, though, who stops by with a self-cooked meal and lends him her sympathetic ears. Connor realizes that he wishes that Brooke was more like Karen. Meanwhile, Taylor is not all pleased to learn that Ridge will be working closely with Brooke on the new line. Reluctantly, she gives him her blessing.
- Mike asks Sheila about her visit to Genoa City. Even though she remains secretive, Mike correctly deduces that Sheila is experiencing marital problems. Karen has put one and one together and warns Anthony to make up with Macy and urges him to be at his best behavior from now on or he will be out of a job soon. A deeply worried James shows up at Taylor's office and tells her how his dying wife's condition is worsening. Anthony is confronted by Sally, Saul and Darla about hurting Macy and his working ethics. They are impressed by his designs, though. Karen advises Anthony to apologize to Macy one more time. Macy and Thorne have a heart to heart, but he - assuming that they have an affair - storms out when he learns that Anthony is working for Spectra Fashions. After James is gone, Taylor listens again to their conversation and makes a shocking realization: James might kill his wife to end her suffering.
- Sally aligns Karen, Saul and Darla to believe in Spectra Fashions' comeback. They then talk about the upcoming Forrester showing with Charlton Heston as master of ceremony which is going to receive all spotlight. Anthony walks into the office and proudly presents a beautiful wedding gown as the showstopper for the fashion show. He has one stipulation, though: he demands that it be produced under his name label, not Spectra Fashions. Surprisingly, Sally goes along with the plan to launch the "Armando Collection". At Forrester Creations, Eric thanks Stephanie for swallowing up her pride and playing nice with Brooke. Macy and Thorne try to mend the awkward situation between them. He tells his wife that he wants her to move back in with him, but only after she fires Anthony. Macy explains that the designer is too important for the company and that they settled their issues. Thorne is crushed by Macy's reaction and tells her that he cannot see her anymore. A heartbroken Macy is tempted to drink.
- Karen realizes that Anthony has a genuine interest in Macy. She forces Connor's hand to invite Macy over for dinner - and then makes plans to include Anthony in it as well. Thorne is shocked to hear that Ridge is beginning to see Brooke and the kids as his true family. Ridge explains that he doubts Taylor's commitment in light of her prolonged absence. In Scotland, Damon relives the heart-breaking events of June 29, 1957: pressed by the doctor which life to save, he chose his wife. Yet, feverish Mary quickly woke up and gave instructions to rescue her unborn child instead. Taylor urges Damon to accept that he blamed his son for his wife's decision. Taylor also tries to make Damon see that he abused his little boy - who created the image of a loving mother to survive - and at the same time hated himself for doing this and therefore started drinking. James exclaims that he forgives his father. James and Damon tearfully embrace.
- Connor is confused by Karen's matchmaking as Macy and Anthony have been mortal enemies not too long ago. Karen explains that she wants to cheer up Macy - and Mr. Armando seems like a good fit to get her mind off Thorne. Later, Macy is surprised to find out that she is not the only guest invited at Connor's tonight. It is not before long that Anthony and Macy strike a chord and get along really well. When Ridge asks her to stay out of a meeting with Eric and Stephanie, Sheila makes a beeline to Brooke to warn her that her dear friend is up to something. Anthony reminds Sally that he is not the boy's father which prompts her to retort that he is more of a father to her son than Clarke Garrison has been in years. Kevin and Keith visit their former co-workers Sly and Rhonda at Bikini Bar. Meanwhile, Connor convinces Macy to stop being sad for herself and instead to go out with him for the evening. At the bar, everyone is happy to see Macy. Upon encouragement from Kevin, Macy eventually takes the stage to sing the classic song "You've Got a Friend". Macy then thanks Connor for making her appreciate her friends again.

In Casablanca, locked in her room, Taylor thinks back to her life with Ridge. Ahmed counters that this does not change the fact that Taylor does not want to become his wife. He also fears that she would never forgive the prince if he did not stop the wedding in Los Angeles. Will Omar call Moustafa to follow Ahmed's advice?
- Under a clear blue sky by the sea in Malibu, as the conclusion of a 7 yearlong romance of back and forth, Ridge and Brooke exchange vows and finally become husband and wife. Photos of the wedding party are then taken. Most of the guests are thrilled for the happy couple while Stephanie has a rather sour look on her face. In Casablanca, Taylor is still being held captive. Despite Connor's explicit warning that he might be damaging his case, Dylan refuses to comply with the restraining order that prevents him from seeing Jessica. Sally is optimistic that Dylan will calm down eventually and obey the court order. At Spectra Fashions, Sally, Darla and Saul try to be positive and hope that the biopsy will prove for Macy that the tumor is benignant. Thorne is with Macy at this difficult hour at the hospital. He tries to encourage her and announces that they will get through this together. Macy is convinced that she has cancer, though. Not wanting for Thorne to witness the suffering that awaits her, Macy asks him to leave. He makes it clear that he will stay.

Unfortunately, the doctor cannot give her an answer to this question, but he insists that Macy refrain from singing for the time being. She is naturally crushed. Thorne seeks advice from Brooke. He is desperate because Macy does not want to see him anymore. Brooke suggests that Thorne should follow his heart and ignore Macy's comments because she merely wants to keep her misery from him.
