Andrew McCullough was born in Flushing, NY, to Frank and Hazeltine McCullough. His parents briefly moved the family to Boston before moving to Great Neck, Long Island. He entered Harvard at age 16, interrupted his studies to serve in World War II (on a crash crew in Italy and then as an Armed Forces Radio DJ in Rome), then graduated.
He and his Harvard friend Jack Lemmon tried their hands at songwriting in New York but were unsuccessful. He directed, wrote, or produced for CBS and other networks on several productions, including Leonard Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic. Robert Montgomery optioned his first play "The General's Other Son."
He married actress Bethel Leslie on June 7, 1953 and they had a daughter, Leslie. They later divorced in 1963.
At the end of the 50s, he moved to California and directed and wrote multiple episodes of many different programs.
His novel "Rough Cut" was published on August 19, 1976 by Morrow.
He worked as a 2nd Assistant Director on some Movies of the Week and several episodes of Happy Days (1974), as a 1st Assistant Director on Laverne & Shirley (1976), and was the 1st AD for the entire run of Family Ties (1982), also directing 14 episodes of that program.
After retiring from television, McCullough got a master's degree in Clinical Psychology which he practiced for over 20 years.

David Vanian (originally David Lett) grew up in Hemel Hempstead England, to parents Peter and Audrey Lett. Vanian intended to pursue a career in graphic design, but instead worked as a grave digger at Heath Lane Cemetery for around 2 years. Vanian was invited to join the Damned inn 1976 as their singer after working briefly with Rat Scabies in a previous band. He sang with the punk/goth group The Damned until 1995 when the band split, but later reformed two years later. He has been the singer ever since. Vanian also founded the side projects Naz Nomad and the Nightmares and Dave Vanian and The Phantom Chords with the help of Roman Jugg, and Bryn Merrick. Vanian has also written the film soundtrack for "The Perfect Sleep", as well as co-wrote the song "Dead Beat Dance" which appeared in the movie Return of the Living Dead. Brent Barry and his brothers Scooter Barry, Jon Barry and Drew Barry are examples of how talent can be hereditary. The four sons of basketball legend and Hall of Famer Rick Barry all had standout collegiate and steady professional careers. Of the four, Brent may be the most talented. Brent Barry played his high school basketball at De La Salle Catholic in Concord, California. He then attended Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. After red-shirting the 1990-1991 season, he showed steady improvement during each of the next four seasons, culminating in 1994-1995 when he averaged 21.0 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, 3.9 assists per game, and 2.7 steals per game, while shooting 51.4% from the field and 82.3% from the free throw line. He ended his career with 1,304 points (12.1 per game), 396 rebounds (3.7 per game), 351 assists (3.3 per game) and 199 steals (1.8 per game). Brent was drafted in the first round of the 1995 NBA draft with the #15 overall pick by the Denver Nuggets. His rights were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. In his eight seasons to date, he has amassed totals of 5,757 points, 1979 assists, 1918 rebounds, 695 steals and 172 blocked shots while playing for the Clippers, the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bulls and the Seattle Supersonics. He has also shown his athleticism by winning the 1996 Slam Dunk Competition during All-Star Weekend in his rookie season, where he also participated in the All-Star Rookie Game, scoring eight points to go along with four assists and five steals.
