Crawford Norman III is a writer, director and producer who recently earned his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University. Born and raised in the small town of Xenia, Ohio where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Film Theory from Wright State University, Norman finds inspiration by supporting the African American community and showing their unique perspective through film. Norman gained experience in photography, administration and writing at Jo Magazine where he conducted photo-shoots and write interviews with celebrities such as: Kyla Pratt (One on One) Lil' Romeo (Brotherly Love) and Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie). As the Writer and Director of the short horror film Erzulie, Norman found great joy bringing his story to life, with a primarily African American cast and crew.
As a producer, Norman has had the privilege to work on multiple films such as The Bet, a film which was accepted into its first film festival a week after completion. He was also a grip/extra in Heat which won best film at Full Sail's 24-hour film festival. From working on over twenty independent short films to writing and directing his own films, Crawford Norman continues to create intriguing stories for the film medium.
