Meggy Hai Trang

A California native, Meggy's lived everywhere from Little Saigon, to
San Francisco, New York City, and now Cincinnati. Meggy started acting
professionally in theater at the age of eight, as the only child
company member in the nationally touring theater troupe, Funky Fresh
Pan-Ethnic Asian Girls. Meggy graduated from Wells College/Cornell
University with a BA in Playwriting, is an alumna from the UCSD
Playhouse Conservatory and ACT in San Francisco, CA, and is a recent
graduate of the Full-Time Conservatory at Stella Adler Studio of
Acting. Since graduating from Stella Adler in June 2012, Meggy starred
as the lead role in the feature length independent film, Edible Souls
(coming 2014) work-shopped The Office of Dead Letters with fellow Adler
classmates and alumni, performed in her first Off Broadway production,
and was cast as a lead in a new pilot series that shot in early 2013.
Meggy is one of eight Bruce E. Coyle Acting Interns with Cincinnati
Playhouse in the Park for its 2013-2014 season. As an intern, Meggy has
played a thirteen-year-old girl on the Autism Spectrum in Fake Flowers
Don't Die, understudied the role of Belen in the World Premiere of
Seven Spots on the Sun, and appeared as and understudied multiple roles
in A Christmas Carol. Up next, Meggy will be appearing in Pride and
Prejudice, understudying the role of Amanda in 4,000 Miles, and working
with Puppets for the first time in the Playhouse's spring tour: The
Short Tree and The Bird That Could Not Sing.
