Kyla O'Deay has training in film, TV and theatre and has worked with renowned casting directors both in front of the camera as well as on stage. She had a featured role in Sarik Andeasyan's American Heist which debuted at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and worked on Vic Armstrong's Left Behind. Kyla has also had many lead roles in theatre and attends the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. She plays to attend college and major in film.
Since 2013, Kyla has been training consistently with Debby Gaudet's Young Screen Actors, where she has also participated in workshops with Ryan Glorioso, Ty Harman, Lisa Marie Dupree, Joey Paul Jensen and Starr Andreeff. She also attended Motion Picture Development Camp with Aaron Williams where she developed film making skills from acting to screenwriting and editing.
Kyla's third grade teacher nominated her to be assessed for the parish school system's talented theatre program, in which she was easily accepted with a near-perfect score. She is a hard working, smart, compassionate young lady always looking for new opportunities and experiences. With the gift to dig deep into various emotions, Kyla has the ability to portray many different characters. She trains in musical theatre and attends competitions where she has been recognized with top scores for her vocal solo performances.
Kyla is learning piano. She has one younger brother and has 10 years of dance experience. In her spare time, Kyla enjoys going to the movies and hanging out with her friends.
