Andy Corren is closing his Andy Corren Management after 11 years of operation. He is leaving the representation business where he has been since 1991.
Corren, who had been writing on the side throughout his career as a talent agent and manager, plans to focus on his hobby full-time as an author.
The news, which Corren shared with his contacts in a lengthy emails entitled “The Greatest Resignation,” comes days after his brutally honest, funny and heartfelt obituary of his mom, Renay Mandel Corren, in the Fayetteville Observer, went viral and received a lot of media attention in the U.S. and the U.K.

Amazon is doubling down on The Wheel of Time.
The streamer has renewed the fantasy series for a second season ahead of the launch of the show. It comes as production has wrapped on season one in the Czech Republic.
It is the latest market in a long road for the adaptation of Robert Jordan’s books, which has been in development in one form or another for 20 years and that Amazon ordered to series in October 2018. Like many series, production of the drama was also hit by the pandemic.
The Wheel of Time, set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists, but only women can use it, is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television and comes from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Chuck writer Rafe Judkins, who is showrunner and exec producer.

Many people know about the Wheel of Time series at this point and the idea that Amazon is bringing it to life is likely filling their heads with all sorts of images of what could possibly happen and what it will look like. As Tommy Williams of GeekTyrant has pointed out three more names have been added to the cast recently, Priyanka Bose, Alanna Mosvani and Emmanuel Imani and Taylor Napier. At this point it sounds as though Bose will be cast in the role of Alanna Mosvani while Imani and Napier will be playing Ihvon and Maksim, her Warders.
