Lauren Moldenhauer

Principal Flutist of Symphony847 and the Lake County Symphony Orchestra, Lauren Moldenhauer is a highly respected musician and one of the brightest upcoming flute soloists. Lauren Moldenhauer earned her Bachelors degree in flute performance from Northwestern University (IL) and her Masters degree in flute performance from the Catholic University of America (DC), where teachers Walfrid Kujala (Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Northwestern University), Stephanie Jutt (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Vanita Jones (New England Symphonic Ensemble) and GOH Tiong Eng (Singapore Symphony Orchestra) taught her how to bring out her heart and musicality.
Lauren has appeared on National Television as principal flutist with the CUA Orchestra, served with the Dayton C. Miller Flute Collection at the Library of Congress, flutist of the World Winds Woodwind Quintet, and principal flutist of the Bel Cantanti Opera Company. Since returning to the Chicago area in 2007, her pursuits have led her to Hollywood and the "Silver Screen", where she has recorded as Solo Flutist on numerous films at Capitol Records in Hollywood, and collaborated with rising film composer Sean Schafer Hennessy (Protege of Wynton Marsalis). She is attached on the feature films "Shades of Gray", "Cross", and "Wedding Day".
