- Has had a long, successful, working relationship and personal friendship with Ken Spears and Joe Ruby, owners of Ruby-Spears animation studio.

- Had a great working relationship and personal friendship with William "Bill" Hanna, co-owner of Hanna-Barbera. Mr. Hanna always insisted that Mr. Kim take personal meetings with him at his Hanna-Barbera office whenever Mr. Kim was in town visiting Hollywood on business.
- Worked alongside legendary Japanese anime artist Ippei Kuri, when Tatsunoko Production Company Ltd. subcontracted various anime work to Tayk Kim's South Korean animation studio. Mr. Kuri, on his many visits to Korea, taught Mr. Kim and his staff how to produce Japanese style anime.
- Mr. Kim often travels to Beijing, China, where he teaches China's top animation students the techniques of American style film and TV animation.
