Noah brings more than a decade of media and entertainment experience to his role as Editor-In-Chief at Merry Jane where he drives the brand's creative voice through editorial, video content, technology, and experiential initiatives. He has produced and developed shows and pilots for networks including MTV, VH1, and Adult Swim.
Under his guidance, Merry Jane is quickly becoming a leading voice in the media landscape, covering news and culture with a progressive, irreverent approach. He is also the former Editor-In-Chief of Nas's Mass Appeal and has also worked with outlets like Complex, VIBE, and XXL.
In addition to his editorial and television work, Rubin has an extensive music background. He is the former VP of Music at Decon Records (now Mass Appeal Records), home to artists like Run the Jewels, Pusha T, and the Hood Internet. His work as a music executive is complemented by his experience as a Producer, A&R, and Mixer. Rubin's credits include A&R work for global EDM phenomenon Flume, production on two highly regarded albums for Wu-Tang Clan, as well as mixing for experimental producer and Kanye West-collaborator Evian Christ.
Noah holds a BA in Anthropology from New York University with a specialization in Ethnomusicology. He also holds a certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Beijing University.
