One who dares to dream, Charlie London was born and raised in Memphis
Tn. A son of a minister, who from a very young aged realized that what
he said, and how he expressed it, had the potential to touch people in
very positive ways. He began preaching the gospel at the young age of 6
years old. After graduating from the University of Memphis, spending 23
years as an Information Technology leader in a fortune 100 company, and
30 years in the ministry, Charlie felt that he still was not truly
doing what he was put on this earth to do. The answer came to him while
he was a student at the University of Memphis, in 1996 he took home the
title of Mr. Essence during a campus wide pageant by demonstrating his
skills as an effective orator, model, and thinker. Eventually Charlie
found the stage at the Hattiloo Theatre in Memphis Tn. where he landed
the lead role for its' grand opening play entitled 'Home', written by
Sam Art Williams. Charlie had finally discovered his true passion, and
it was acting. After that he spent the next 2 years in Memphis
performing on the Hattiloo stage performing various plays such as 'They
Sing Christmas up in Harlem', 'Macbeth', and 'The Charlayne Woodard
Story'. It became very clear to him that if he was going to reach his
maximum potential, it would be in the acting mecca of the world,
Hollywood, California. Since 2008, he has called Los Angeles home; and
since then he has made numerous appearances in plays, commercials,
television, and film. Charlie is a father and husband. He has studied
several years with actors Michael Beach, and Alexia Robinson. He has
truly dared to dream and is living his life to the fullest!
