Exclusive: Vertical has acquired North American rights to Keoni Waxman’s romantic comedy The Modelizer, written by and starring Byron Mann (The Big Short), slating the film for a day-and-date release on July 14th.
Set in Hong Kong’s high octane, ultra-rich fast-lane, The Modelizer follows Shawn Koo (Mann), son of a Chinese tycoon family, and his partner-in-clubbing Narin “Bucky” Sakpiporn (K-pop star Nichkhun), who enjoy a lavish lifestyle of parties, privilege and international model girlfriends. After a string of short-term relationships, Shawn gets a wake-up call, realizing that all the money in the world is not enough to buy the love of a woman. As he begins falling for the charming yet defiant Camila (Rayssa Bratillieri), a Brazilian model unaccustomed to his lifestyle, Shawn must change his tactics and clean up his act if he intends to win her heart.
Also starring Dominika Kachlik, Han Hrzic, Celinde Schoenmaker, Julia Nickson...

Damien Lawson, a Tsa officer from Los Angeles, sang the Boyz II Men classic "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" on Monday's season premiere of The Voice. But judging by his performance, it might be easier than he could have dreamed to let go of the past. Lawson, 35, was one of the standout talents on the season 7 premiere, and his song choice certainly seemed like a metaphor for his future - which hopefully includes fewer pat-downs and many more stages. His elegant, tearjerking performance drew chair-turns from veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as newbies Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani.

Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams made their debut as coaches on The Voice in the first episode of blind auditions, and went head to head with seasoned coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Blind Auditions Part 1
First up was soul singer Luke Wade, who grew up as a dancer – his mother owned a dance studio. Luke got all four chairs to turn around about 10 seconds into his performance, kicking the season off strong.
Adam, anticipating a fight to the death, squatted on his chair, ready to stand up on his chair – his new signature move. “We did it! We won The Voice! This is amazing,” Adam said. (He’s mistaken.) Not to be outdone, Pharrell was quick to name-drop and whip out the producer card: “I want to be your amplifier.” In the end, Pharrell proved his smooth talking would rake in the contestants, winning over the first four-chair turn of the night.

Get to know the sensational singers that the coaches fought over in the Season 7 premiere of 'The Voice'…
Pull up a chair, because The Voice is officially back for their seventh season!
The Voice veterans, (and founding members of TV’s best bromance) Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are back, and this time they've brought two new faced to the Emmy award-winning series: No Doubt's leading lady, Gwen Stefani, and the man who creates all the songs that get stuck in your head, producer Pharrell Williams.
To kick off the new season and celebrate the first night of blind auditions, the musically-inclined foursome took the stage to gift fans with a cover of Gwen and Pharrell’s 2001 hit, “Hella Good.” All in all it was a pretty good performance, but we wanted to rip our hair out when Gwen kept making the audience sing the obnoxious “Ooo! Ooo!” call-and-answer. Come on...

I’m too lazy to Google it, but I’m pretty sure Jim Carrey had movie maybe 10 years ago where his character said “yes” to everything, all the time, immediately.
Somehow, that same madcap spirit seems to have infiltrated Season 7 of The Voice — where Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and newcomers Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani were slapping their buttons and turning their chairs not just from the opening three notes, but in some instances from the first pre-performance throat-clearance.
