He also received a Zoni nomination for supporting role of Prince Of Morocco in Merchant Of Venice. The "Zonis" are an annual event that honors different categories of outstanding theatre achievement in the state of Arizona.
Rolando's film experience of several independent shorts includes a drama where he played the lead role of Tony, a suave businessman who gets caught dating two co-workers at the same time.

Rolando was born in Pasadena, California. After many years away, his personal experiences have led him back home to Los Angeles. Likewise his professional experiences have led him full circle back to the entertainment field. From Pasadena the family moved down the coast to San Diego where Rolando grew up.
During high school Rolando was the speech team geek. He traveled extensively to various speech competitions. And as a teen-ager he would also perform in drama, dance, and singing shows. After graduating high school and attending some college, Rolando shot across the country to Florida where he began a successful career as a Human Resources Manager for large companies.
His business path took him to Tampa Bay, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Weston FL. It may have been a mid life epiphany that made Rolando sign up for a TV and radio certification with the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. But after graduating Rolando moved to Phoenix, Arizona to pursue a new career in the entertainment field.
He began acting in community theatre shows, local commercials, and independent film projects. Coming from a business background, Rolando could always relate to the advice of treating your acting career like a business. So, one night while brainstorming with other actor friends over dinner he came up with a unique idea.
Rolando professionally wrapped his car with his picture and Website info - much like real estate agents and other business owners have done to advertise. Thus was born the Zee Car promoting Rolando as an actor and the model.
