The networks have started their Upfronts presentations in NYC today but on TV last night it was a trio of endings. With that inevitable showdown, some parental love and a wedding, the final farewell was for Revenge (1.3/4). However, while ending its four-season run for good after its April 29 cancellation, the Mike Kelly-created soapy drama didn't really pulled the trigger on Sunday ratingswise. Following a double-digit surge among adults 18-49 last week, it was pretty…...

Plans are afoot to take The Minister Of Chance to the big screen - and you can get involved!
Over the past couple of years, a small and dedicated team has been working on The Minister Of Chance, a podcast series which gave a universe of his own to the character that first appeared in the BBC's Doctor Who webcast audio drama Death Comes To Time. The Minister was then voiced by Stephen Fry, playing a Time Lord who survived the destruction of Gallifrey.
Now with Julian Wadham taking on the role from Stephen Fry (courtesy of a regeneration), the cast attracted to the six-part series (funded entirely by fans) has included Sylvester McCoy, Paul Darrow, Jenny Agutter, Philip Glenister, Tamsin Greig and Paul McGann.
It's a terrific series, and you can download the six episodes that are available entirely for free right here.

Things over at the ABC show “Revenge” keep getting shaken up, and the latest change was just announced- Ashley Madekwe will make her departure.
According to a report, the “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” actress will still appear on the Season 3 premiere, but after that it’s farewell.
In addition to Madekwe’s departure, series regular Connor Paolo was killed off in the Season 2 finale, so he won’t be back either.
Furthermore, the creator and showrunner of “Revenge” Mike Kelly and his producing partner Melissa Loy also hit the road, leaving executive producer Sunil Nayar to pick up the pieces.

Former Us Congresswoman and shooting survivor Gabrielle Giffords bravely stepped in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Jan. 30 and urged the committee to ‘be bold’ against gun violence. After the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Giffords demanded change in order to save our children from more carnage.
If anyone can speak strongly and honestly against gun violence, it’s Gabby Giffords. In 2011, Giffords was caught in the crossfire when a shooter opened fire in a Tucson, Ariz. shopping mall, where she sustained a gunshot to her head. Six people were killed in that shooting, including a nine year-old girl, Christina Taylor Green.

Savoy is an electronic dance music trio with surprising roots. Just a few years ago, Ben Eberdt, Gray Smith and Mike Kelly were a jam band from in Colorado, where they were students at C.U. Boulder. Now they're headlining the famed Red Rocks arena, dropping remixes from dance titans like Laidback Luke and DJ'ing at Jay-z's inaugural Made in America Festival.
"The band was always a dancey thing, and that happened for a few years," Eberdt explains in an interview with HuffPost Entertainment. "We just decided we needed a bigger sound to round it out and hit those sub-bass sounds that a regular acoustic kick drum couldn't really make."
So the boys added a synth pad and jumped down the Ableton wormhole at a time when many producers still weren't performing with the software. "I was the only soul except for our friend Derek [Vincent Smith] from Pretty Lights who used Ableton,...

Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Mike Kelly drove the House of Representatives tot their feet on Friday with a stirring speech in defense of small business owners and the “boot on their throat” that is the red tape they must cut through in order to create jobs. Kelly took on the state and federal regulations which impede businesses from forming and expanding. Kelly’s colleagues cheered the speech and chanted “U.S.A, U.S.A” in a rare display of patriotism in the House.

Between now and June 28, the deadline for Emmy voters to return nomination ballots, EW.com is running a series called Emmy Watch, featuring highlight clips and interviews with actors, producers, and writers whom EW TV critic Ken Tucker has on his wish list for the nominations announcement on July 19.
Whatever you do, don’t call Revenge a soap opera to creator Mike Kelly. Okay, we’ll call it a smart, addictive, complex, original, hilarious, heartfelt, and yes, occasionally sudsy drama about Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) return to the Hamptons to take down the family responsible for her father’s death.

In its first season Revenge has transformed into the kind of breakout hit every network dreams of -- not only does it boast a beautiful cast of press-friendly actors and the kind of delicious writing that few could pull off convincingly, but it's amassed a passionately engaged audience that talks and Tweets about every plot turn in every episode. But what I continue to love about Revenge is that I will never be a bigger fan than the actors who help bring it to life.
And if there was to be a President of the Revenge Fan Club, it would be star Gabriel Mann.
He's not only the most tapped in star (you Must following the hashtag-loving lad on Twitter), but also has no shame in admitting what a massive fan he is of creator Mike Kelly's world and his co-stars' work. In anticipation of tonight's season finale, I caught up with Gabe to find out...

That “Emily Thorne” has any Revenge to exact every Wednesday night on ABC is due in large part to Victoria Grayson being complicit in framing David Clarke, her one true love and Amanda’s father, for a horrific crime all those years ago.
“It’s a real character flaw,” admits Madeleine Stowe, who plays the oft-icy society queen. And one the actress hopes to one day delve into.
“[Series creator] Mike Kelly and I have discussed a long backstory for Victoria that would eventually make you understand her damage,” she tells TVLine. Provided, that is, Victoria even makes it out of this week’s season finale alive.

There’s been some climate change at The Weather Channel. The operation — owned by a consortium that includes NBCUniversal, Bain Capital, and The Blackstone Group — turned to a digital ad exec, David Kenny, to replace Mike Kelly as CEO. Kelly, a former AOL exec who took charge of Weather Channel in 2009, will remain a special adviser to the company, and an adviser at Bain. But the company apparently wants to boost its presence in the digital world: Kenny had been president of cloud storage company Akamai. As an ad man, he co-founded VivaKi, a digital unit of Publicis Groupe, and was CEO of Digitas. A member of the Yahoo board, Kenny was talked about as a possible successor to Carol Bartz who was fired in September.

Today’s movies just not doing it for you? Wish they’d be a little more black & white, a little less high-tech, a little less… modern? If you liked The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, you might be interested in two monochrome retro monster movies about a killer gorilla and a giant octopus.
We begin with a movie bold enough to proclaim itself to be In The Tradition Of Jim Wynorski, Fred Olen Ray, And Roger Corman. Did Emily VanCamp’s hunky, blue collar childhood crush look familiar in the premiere of ABC’s Revenge (Wednesdays at 10/9c)? If so, you probably spent some time watching a little show called Roswell and recognized Nick Wechsler from the late WB/Upn alien drama. Yep, that’s an all-grown-up Kyle Valenti playing Jack Porter, one of the romantic leads in Revenge‘s nascent love triangle.
While Wechsler is “excited” about channeling his inner white knight, he confesses it’s not a role that comes naturally to him. “There is part of me that will always feel wrong for any leading man-type,...
