Valentines Day! If you are a fan of Nicholas Sparks' godawful movies , chances are you are loving today! You probably think sitting in a champagne shaped glass jacuzzi in the Poconos is romantic (It is anything but). There are people (usually men) who avoid it like the bubonic plague. Anything to get out of buying horrible chocolates last minute or scrambling to make a reservation. The teddy bear with the heart you got her from Rite Aid will let most women know that you truly don't know a thing about her, so the evening will be ruined anyway. And then there are hopeless romantics who live for this hallmark holiday (usually women). You can't wait to have your co-workers ask you what sad sack thing your lover did for you. Being that LatinoBuzz is for lovers we rounded up some of our fave Latino actors to share which characters they are akin to and their most epic wins and fails!
If I could choose any character in any movie that reflects my dating life, as cheesy as this sounds, it would have to be Drew Barrymore from the movie "Going The Distance". Her character and I are a couple of crazy hopeless romantics. I was in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend for a year up until last month, it was sooo hard at times but worth the wait. He finally took the plunge and moved to Los Angeles! A new beginning :). Soooo a few years back I had a huge crush on this one guy, and we went out one night to a karaoke bar with his friends. I wanted to stand out to him so I decided (after a couple of shots of whiskey lol) to jump on stage and sing my heart out! I sang "Girl Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. I actually sounded pretty damn good! I surprised myself and definitely impressed the guy I liked. I'd say I won that night :) Andrea Sixtos (East Los High)
When I was a little girl I was so shameless and passionate that I didn't care what other people thought of me. I was in love with this guy "Jose" and I used to chase him in kindergarden. I would always tell him that I loved him and that he was supposed to be with me, and even share my lunch with him... I remember that our conversations were always the same... I would say "Jose, who is the prettiest girl in the world?" (hoping that he would say: You!) and he always answered "My sister!" (he had a 6 month new sister). The best part was that I didn't care! I knew that he would realized that it was me. Well... years after I ran in to him as I was going to my ballet classes... he was short, fat and bald.
But the most Epic fail was years later when I was a teenager (not as shameless as I used to be), I had a boyfriend and wanted to tell him that I love him, so I composed a song... and thought for a week if I should sing it for him. I decided to do it... as he heard it, he blushed, told me - thank you - and we never talked about it again... I guess he didn´t like it... But, despite that we were together for 2 more years, happy ending! Francisca Walker (El Verano De Los Peces Voladores)
Although it was originally a musical, I would say that I am a less narcissistic version of Maureen from Rent. We're similar in the way that we are both open spirits, artists, we're strong, passionate, monogamists (considered by some to be serial-daters)... really when it gets down to it we want to be in love, but we won't sacrifice who we are... in other words "take me baby, or leave me." ;) Noemi Gonzalez (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones)
In the Notebook. Too many men, which to choose, love or stability lol. Most Epic fail was trying to give an ex Mexican candies to win him back, his niece got to them before he even saw it. Should have left a card... Gina Rodriguez (Sleeping With The Fishes)
Well, the night I kissed my current girlfriend for the first time, I apparently farted. I was holding her hand and walking her back to her car. I had a couple drinks that night and don't remember this, but she swears by it! It must've worked because we've been together for nearly 4 years! I think that should be the test: fart around the person. Depending on how they react, one could decide whether she is a keeper or not. She didn't mind it too much, so I guess she was a keeper, and vice versa! She just also happens to be the most loving and accepting person I've ever met, so... :) Jorge Diaz (33)
I think my dating life is like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City. She casually dates but when she's in a relationship, she's In a relationship. Plus she ends up with Mr.Big! Who wouldn't want to end up with their one true love!?!?! Chelsea Rendon (McFarland)
My Junior year in High School our English Literature teacher had us move desks around every couple of months to mix things up. From the classic row and column formation, to a giant inward facing circle and back again. We would physically get up and push our desks, which blanketed the room in cacophony for about 5 minutes. I had a crush on a boy in class and though I'm not sure where I got the gall, I slammed my hands down on his desk and shoved it up against him so he was pinned in his seat. The look on his face was priceless and in that moment I, too, was a little shocked (and stoked) by my prowess. Though I didn't say a word to him that day, he ended up being my first boyfriend. I have some epic fails too but we can save those for another day. Alexandra Metz (Once Upon A Time)
I would have to say the character that most represents my dating life is Jane from 27 Dresses. I've witnessed so many of my family members and friends tie the knot in just the last few years. If I had a dime for every one I might be able to buy a coffee. Regular of course, nothing fancy. Seriously though, I love the meaning of marriage and weddings. I think everything about them is so beautiful. I'm a sucker for romance and a great love story. As for myself, I don't really date. I'm always helping and taking care of other people that I tend to forget about myself. Similar to Jane, who puts everyone else first and thinks she has no time for herself. Janine Larina (East Los High)
Oh, son. Let me tell ya, I have a very Very epic fail to share. I was at a house party in college, wearing heels, and dressed to impress a certain cutie that lived at the house we were at. It was my first time ever meeting him, and as I sashayed down the stairs my heel got caught in a tear in the carpet and I went flying down the stairs Face First! I landed flat on my face at the bottom of the stairs and the entire party took a collective Gasp. Once I realized that I hadn't actually died from the fall (or the embarrassment), I remarkably got back on my feet with some help from nearby strangers, brushed myself off, and continued to laugh and dance like nothing had happened. When the sobering light of the next day came however, I was so embarrassed that I did everything I could to avoid my crush for the rest of the year until he graduated. Come to find out, Years later when we reconnected, that he was actually pretty impressed with how easily I laughed off the epic fall down the stairs, thought I was a cool chick, but didn't know my name or how to find me. Lesson learned: Best way to recover from an Epic Fail is to laugh it off!! And don't waste your energy being embarrassed by it - because you never know how other people perceived it. An epic fail could always turn into an epic Win when you least expect it. ;-) Marisa Quinn (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2)
This one qualifies as the best fail - win ever so I have to tell. It was my birthday and he set up the most amazing night. Dressed up, special pick up, flowers, gifts, private room at the restaurant the whole deal! After the most amazing meal I still have ever had in my life, he has cupcakes with candles come out and he sings happy birthday. It was the one most romantic night I've ever had. I blow off the candles and he insists I have a bite. I dragged my finger through the icing and tried to put it on his nose being all cute and romantic like I see in those romantic wedding movies. But I was a little tipsy from the bottle of Moet we had just had and stuck the icing straight into his eye. It was so much of it he couldn't even open it! My God did that go wrong. I was so worried iI blinded him and not sure what reaction to expect. But he just laughed so hard that it made me laugh. Soon we were both on the floor out of breath trying to un-stick his eye. It was the best moment of the night. Even as we remember the story now we still giggle like little children. I never looked at a cupcake the same way again. Luciana Faulhaber (The Night Crew)
About two years ago when I first moved to Los Angeles I starter to dance with fire. So one night, after spending a beautiful day with this very special person, I invited my super talented fire dancers friends to come to my house and we performed for him. It was the best performance I've ever done and he was pleasantly surprised. Paola Baldion (Sin OtoÑO Sin Primavera)
I had a crush on a sports trainer in college and thinking I was pretty athletic myself, I thought I could impress him with my prowess. So I decided to join his 5:30 Am bootcamp. Basically, everything was going according to plan, Until one day I had the bright idea to go one morning when I was clearly still feeling a bit funny from the night/earlier that morning... and he made a work out circuit, called the "gut check," let's just say, I checked it...and threw up, A Lot... and never went back. Lindsey Morgan (The Hundred)
I was on a date with a girl when I was 13 during Halloween and went to a maze, I'm petrified of scary clowns and sure enough the end of the maze it was clowns, luckily she was scared also so we ran out with eachother. She dropped her phone while running and asked if I could go get it and she asked if I was scared, trying to be cool I said no. So walking back in, one of the clowns was holding the phone and I was holding my breath, and as soon as I grabbed it the clown screams on the top of his lungs and I peed myself. She wouldn't stop laughing at me. Andrew Jacobs (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones)
Vicky Cristina Barcelona. 'Cause we all been in there and it's weird at times when they just broke up with their exes. There is that tension and if its too recent its worse. Fernanda Romero (Ghost Team One)...

For those otherwise unaware, today is Dec. 21, 2012 a.k.a. the date of the Mayan Calendar's end and one which many predicted would yield the end of the world. Obviously, that prophecy has so far proven false, so to celebrate the non-end of the world several of the Twilight Saga's cast have been tweeting a few jokes about it. Here's what they had to say! Erik Odom: How are you spending your last day? Noel Fisher: @erikodom Spending time with loved ones...naw i'm just kidding. Playing video games. :) Charlie Bewley: The blink is imminent - are you ready for the era of peace? Much change is nigh. #21122012 Marisa Quinn: The world better not end tonight. It wud totally suck to spend my last night on earth getting a Root Canal. Jodelle Ferland: I'm trying to remember what's happening ///...

Spoiler Alert: Do Not Read If You Haven’T Seen Breaking Dawn — Part 2.
For months, we’ve been teased about Breaking Dawn — Part 2′s “twist” ending. The movie follows Stephenie Meyer’s book closely, up until the point where Alice (Ashley Greene) enters the climactic scene to defend vampire-human hybrid Renesmee’s (Mackenzie Foy) existence. She presumably shows Aro (Michael Sheen), through her thoughts, that she knows there is no threat and thus Renesmee and the Cullens should be left alone. But then she realizes that it doesn’t matter — Aro wants a fight no matter what. She mouths “now...

Can vampires dance? They can according to actress Marisa Quinn, who witnessed a whole vampire flashmob while filming the climatic sequence for the final installment in the Twilight franchise. Dancing aside, being a vampire is hard work but Quinn enjoyed her time playing Huilen, a friend of the Cullens. While Breaking Dawn: Part 2 is the last film detailing the love story between vampire Edward Cullen and former human Bella Swan, pop culture's Twilight mania shows no signs of stopping.
BuddyTV was lucky enough to speak with Quinn about her time in Forks, vampire flashmobs, and the age-old question: Team Edward or Team Jacob? ...

This week, we'll be giving a big farewell to "The Twilight Saga" with the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on Friday.
Judging by the clips and trailers we've seen so far, we can expect to see some serious vampire Bella (Kristen Stewart) action and get to catch up with the one and only Cullen coven. But, with a ton of other bloodlovers coming into the fold for the final film, Twi-hards should probably also brace for some new faces.
To help remind you who's who among the new coven vampires in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we put together this handy dandy little refresher guide.
Denali Coven
Sure, the Denalis were introduced as wedding guests in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but these Alaskan vegetarian vamps have a much bigger stand in "Part 2." They're super-tight with the Cullens — even considering themselves faux cousins...

On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Whether as a result of poor critical/box-office reception, (perceived) local sensibilities, and/or censorship, the movie you watch in, say, Canada isn't necessarily the exact same movie watched by someone in Singapore,...

It's been interesting to hear the Twilight cast weigh in on current events surrounding the Saga's leads Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, especially since some have been so creative in dodging the issue. The latest to weigh in are Judi Shekoni (Zafrina - Amazonian Coven) and Marisa Quinn (Huilen - South American Coven), who discussed whether and how the situation will impact ticket sales for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 while at a recent album release party in Hollywood. When your co-stars are a monkey and a tiger, things are bound to get a little wild. That's what actress Marisa Quinn found out when filming the upcoming NBC sitcom Animal Practice. The sitcom takes place in a veterinary hospital and centers around the zany characters who work within its walls. And things are looking bright for the denizens of Animal Practice. NBC is giving the show a big thumbs-up by airing the pilot episode of the fall series early after the Olympics this Sunday.
Marisa Quinn, who will also be appearing in the final Twilight installment, got to log some quality time with tigers and monkeys and star Justin Kirk. Oh my! BuddyTV was lucky enough to speak with Quinn about her experience on the show, monkey-napping from Community and the feel of tiger breath on her face.

Film Equals had the opportunity to chat with both Marisa Quinn and Amadou Ly at Comic Con last weekend, as they appeared for the big panel on Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Marisa talks about her excitement of being cast and what it was like to audition, while Amadou talks about the new character he plays, Henri from the French Coven, which didn’t even exist in the books, but was created by Stephenie Meyer and Melissa Rosenberg. Enjoy the interviews below!
But that’s not all, while at Comic-Con, Film Equals got the chance to chat with a couple of the cast members from the last movie, the lovely Marisa Quinn who plays Huilen and Amadou Ly, who stars as Henri (a character who actually doesn’t exist in the Twilight books).
Both of them seemed very excited to be part of the film (as you can probably tell) and it was a pleasure to get to talk to them about it. Amongst other things, Quinn talked about her love of Twilight and how she landed the coveted part of Huilen, as for Ly, he shared his delightful experience meeting fans at Comic-Con.

How much do I love Amadou for watching all of the Twilight movies at least 5 times to get ready for his audition?!

A reporter from His Golden Eyes had the chance to attend the ‘Latinos Laugh Out Loud’ event in La where they featured the premiere of Sweet Mary and Jane. Actress Marisa Quinn, who will be playing Huilen in Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was in attendance, and spoke about jumping into the Twilight Saga movies at the end, her character Huilen, and what she thinks is in store for Twilighters at Comic Con. Read more below:
Hge: Coming into the Twilight Saga, there are people that have been in it since the beginning and people just coming into it. What was it like coming into the series so close to the very end?
Marisa: First of all it was a complete and utter shock. Twilight had become so huge that it was not even possible to get a role in that film as an actor. Then it just came out of nowhere. It fell into my lap and as a fan it was crazy. I could not believe I was going to be the face of a character that I had imaged so often in my head.
Hge: You are playing Huilen. What was it like playing a character that has such a pivotal role?
Marisa: It was really important to speak to J.D. (Pardo who plays Nahuel). He was the first person I met when I got to the set and we just talked about the experience the must have had. Were they scared? Were they proud and warriors? Were they ready to fight? What did it mean to them to make this journey so far for people they had never even met before? It was incredible.
Hge: In a couple weeks we have Comic Con. Are we going to see you there?
Marisa: Rumors are swirling that something big is going to go down. Who knows that it will be, but I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be lucky enough to be a part of it. My bet is if you have a ticket your mind will be blown. I mean it’s the final movie and they’d be crazy not to pull out all the stops.

We just found out that Marisa Quintanilla will be playing the part of Huilen in the upcoming, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, next year, and now the actress is finally able to share her excitement. Here Marisa talks about being cast as Huilen and how she fell in love with The Twilight Saga. Read more below:
“Twilight” already has one McAllen native tied to the movie series, and now there are two.
McAllen born Marisa Quintanilla scored the role as the vampire Huilen in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.”
“Never in a million years would I have even guessed it, you know?” she said. “It was amazing.”
She was a fan before she auditioned for the role, which she snagged quickly, though she didn’t know she was cast until months afterward.
“I was introduced (to “Twilight”) by my sisters, and my sisters are quite a bit younger than me, and they introduced me to the movies,” Quintanilla said. “And I thought it was really silly at first … and then I watched them and was in love with them and couldn’t wait to see the next one.”
Those who have read the books know how important the role of Huilen is. And though the “Twilight” saga is officially over with the release of “Breaking Dawn,” there’s a lot of back story author Stephanie Meyer could explore.

“It was surprisingly amazing and easy and just so easy, breezy, cool and casual,” Marisa told The Monitor. “They had no attitude; everybody on the set was just kind, generous and in a way that I was just really taken aback by because these people are so famous.”
But not only are they down-to-earth, we’re hearing again that Kristen is just like her onscreen character Bella.
“She was just the sweetest thing. She was really nice and shy, if anything,” she says.

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 may have a new vampire stopping by the little town of Forks, as Marisa Quintanilla joins the saga as Huilen. Actually, Quintanilla will be just one of the many vampires that converge on the Cullen family in the final movie of the franchise as tensions build between the Cullens and the Volturi over the existence of Renesmee. There hasn’t been a whole lot of official news on the casting, but Quintanilla now has The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 listed on her IMDb page and her Filmography profile.

I don’t want to reveal any spoilers for those who haven’t read the Twilight books, but Huilen could probably be considered a pivotal character considering how she has some unique insight when it comes to vampire/human hybrids.

With the veritable plethora of castmates announced for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in the past year, one might've expected that we've learned all the names we needed to by now. Alas, yet another has come along: Marisa Quintanilla as "Huilen."
"Huilen" is the aunt of "Nahuel," the half-human, half-vampire from South America. She's the one who brings "Nahuel" to the field to prove "Renesmee's" potential for growth (they were both sought out by the characters "Alice" and "Jasper" for this purpose).
We already knew that the actor portraying "Nahuel" would be J.D. Pardo. What wasn't certain, however, is whether "Huilen" would make an appearance in the film.
