Bethesda’s Fallout 76 recently achieved a huge milestone by reaching the 20 million player mark. The major contributor to this success was the Fallout TV series, which began airing on April 10th earlier this year.
After the major achievement, Director Todd Howard gave an interview in which he talked about the future games and even the future of the show. He teased that the Fallout TV series will follow the new characters as they still have stories to tell.

Fallout 76 is not the most acclaimed entry in the hit RPG series by a long margin. Apart from the game’s quality, which series enthusiasts almost always criticize, the state of the game at launch was nothing short of deplorable.
In addition to almost unanimously agreeing that the title was perhaps the series’ weakest entry, the community agrees that ‘The Scorched’ can be incredibly challenging to slay. But many fans might be unaware that a much scarier enemy almost replaced them

Fallout 76 has recently surpassed a major milestone by reaching the 20 million players mark, 6 years after its release. The main factor in Bethesda’s success was the Fallout TV show, which began airing on April 10th earlier this year. After the milestone’s announcement, Director Todd Howard gave an interview expressing how this was an unexpected turn of events. However, he also teased that the studio might have been working on multiple Fallout projects.

Bethesda Studio announced on May 30th that Fallout 76 has surpassed a huge milestone. The game crossed the 20 million players mark which is huge, and an achievement not even the popular game The Last of Us was able to achieve.
In today’s gaming industry, where competition is very fierce and players have a plethora of games to try out, this achievement is remarkable. But what made it even more impressive was not just the number, but the context of how they got to this stage.

It’s a known fact that the Fallout franchise is one of Bethesda’s longest-running and most popular series, rivaling Elder Scrolls. With the debut of the popular Amazon live-action show, many new and old fans are flocking to the backlog of titles while waiting for what may come next from Bethesda.
Fallout games, old and recent, have garnered acclaim from critics and gamers thanks to their gameplay, story, characters, and, most importantly, terrifying creatures. There’s no doubt that the Fallout series, to put it mildly, is having a bit of a moment. The success of the Amazon TV show has generated a huge wave of players who have installed the most recent Fallout games to continue enjoying the unique ambiance of the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Many fans are desperate for Fallout 5, but things look bad. It’s already been confirmed that Bethesda is currently working on Elders Scroll 6. This means we’re quite a few years away from the next entry in the Fallout franchise. While that’s dissapootining, Todd Howard has already revealed the game’s potential setting and location.

Bethesda Game Studios is undoubtedly a titan in the RPG genre, churning out critically acclaimed franchises like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Their games notoriously take very long to make, and often times, the inner workings of this creative powerhouse remain somewhat opaque.

In the early stages of Fallout 4‘s development, the super mutants were envisioned to have a much more human appearance. Jonah Lobe, the artist behind these characters, initially designed them to inspire empathy and deeper storytelling.
Lobe’s goal was to encourage the game’s designers to write more quests and dialogue for the super mutants, showcasing their emotional range and potential for complex narratives.
The Potential Design That The Super Mutant’s Almost Had
Lobe explained in a recent YouTube video that this decision might have been influenced by the small size of Bethesda’s team during Fallout 4‘s development. With only about 100 developers, compared to much larger teams at other game studios, there were simply not enough resources to fully flesh out the more human-like super mutants.

“Fallout 76” has found a whole new world of players thanks to the popularity of Amazon’s “Fallout” TV series. The Bethesda Game Studios title, which first launched in October 2018, crossed 20 million downloads and plays as of Wednesday.
That is a jump from the 17 million players “Fallout 76” had totaled in December, ahead of the April 10 release of Jonathan Nolan’s “Fallout” TV adaptation on Prime Video.
“It’s kind of been sneaky popular for a while — but not to this level and it’s just been really great for the for the whole studio,” Bethesda director and executive producer Todd Howard, who oversees the “Fallout” franchise, told Variety.
In the under two months since the series premiered (and has already been picked up for a second season), daily active users across the “Fallout” video game franchise titles developed and published by Bethesda, a division of Microsoft Gaming, have ballooned over 600% to more than 5 million players.

However, it was supposed to be a big step towards RPGs and space exploration, and it is still working towards the goal after almost eight months of the launch. Games like Skyrim and the Fallout series owe their existence to Wayne Gretzky, the former professional ice hockey player and head coach in Canada.
This might sound ridiculous; there’s no obvious connection between Gretzky and these games at first glance. However, one interview with Bethesda’s executive producer, Todd Howard, shows us exactly how the ice hockey legend’s existence eventually gave way to several classic video games.
How One Man’s Existence Leads to Games Like Skyrim From Skyrim to Starfield, we have one man to thank for kickstarting it all.
In an interview with Esquire, Howard details exactly how he got his start at Bethesda. It all started with his love for video games. Back in the 80s, he already showed an interest in games; not just in playing them, but in wanting to understand how they worked.
Even though he was a business major, video games were called to his heart.

Starfield is the latest project from Bethesda Game Studios. Todd Howard served as the game director, and the gaming community is graced with another massive video game with grand worlds to explore. Howard is still in awe of the one tiny detail that left a significant impact on him.
The art direction is a powerful asset, and Howard was confident in the skill and talent of Istvan Pely. Pely served as the art director and was given his fair share of attention and appreciation by his colleagues and the players, and he coined the term “NASA Punk” for the project.

The developers had a few kinks to sort out and were able to remedy a few issues that gave the game the visual upgrade it deserved to realize Howard’s vision fully.

While Bethesda remains tight-lipped about the official setting of the next game, a persistent theory has emerged that injects an interesting (and mutated twist) into the franchise’s formula – a return to the concept of a Fallout game set in New York City.

The Fallout series has seen many ups and downs but it still is a fan-favorite for many players. The missteps with Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 have led fans to think again about their favorite game in the entire series, Fallout New Vegas. Released in 2010, Fallout New Vegas was one of the most innovative games by Bethesda as it took the positives from previous Fallout games and further improved on it.
However, the game suffered from various technical issues at the launch which showed its development issues. Youtuber TeaserPlay showcased a version of Fallout New Vegas in a UE5 engine. This made the fans excited and wanted Bethesda to make a Fallout New Vegas remake.

Valve is one of the most reputed video game companies in the industry. Having been in the industry for over 25 years, the company is known not only for cult video game series like Half-Life but also for revolutionizing the digital PC software marketplace with Steam.
Fans have asked the video company for Half-Life 3 for a long time. But to no avail. Now, it seems the company is all set to expand its horizons by releasing a 6v6 hero-shooter similar to Overwatch.

The Fallout video game series is one of Bethesda’s most popular series of post-apocalyptic role-playing video games. The fourth installment in the main series, Fallout 4, is already cited as a great game by many critics as well as gamers. However, now, the game is all set to expand with a fan-made total conversion mod called Fallout: London developed by Team Folon.

Seeing how Prime Video’s Fallout is heading full-speed into the Mojave Wasteland for Season 2, countless possibilities are opening up before the showrunners. Mojave is the home of Fallout: New Vegas, one of the franchise’s most popular games, and there are bound to be some points of intersection between the TV show and the video game… Though some ideas are better left untouched.
Fallout S2 Likely to Expand the Ghoul’s Lore
Out of the show’s four main characters, the Ghoul is clearly the most important: he’s the only one whose flashbacks provide us with context of the past 200-something years and thus explain the nature of current events. From Vault-Tec and the Great War to cold fusion and Moldaver, Cooper Howard connected all plot dots together.
Season 2 will most likely keep up the trend of adding Cooper’s flashbacks to support the present-day plotlines, and as a side effect,...

Starfield players on the Xbox Series X are having the worst experience imaginable with a disastrous patch involving the game’s performance and visual quality. The players have been begging for a performance boost since launch, and Bethesda finally delivered with a few caveats.
Despite being the most powerful console of the current generation, it seems like the Xbox Series X is struggling to run first-party titles at a stable rate. This is a gut punch for users who want the best experience but are getting the opposite and that encourages them to jump ship.

Fallout 4 has a handful of possible endings, but Prime Video’s new TV show makes only one of them possible — and since Todd Howard claimed the show was canon, it effectively means that we know just how the events in the Commonwealth unfolded. If you think it’s all about the Prydwen, though, you’re greatly mistaken: there’s a lot more going on there, and “the Brotherhood won” is not the correct answer.
The Prydwen Suggests the Brotherhood Won
While many articles argued that the Brotherhood of Steel airship in the Fallout TV show wasn’t the Prydwen, that claim has since been debunked. The one-of-a-kind technological wonder officially remains one-of-a-kind, so its arrival to the West Coast suggests that the Brotherhood of Steel certainly didn’t lose the fight with the Institute.
But that leaves us with two potential canon endings.

One of the best things Prime Video’s Fallout has going for it in the eyes of Og fans is its immaculate attention to detail. The showrunners carefully implemented countless tiny bits of lore in their scenes and added many nods to the original games; while irrelevant for new viewers, their dedication paid off handsomely with the gaming community’s praises. Even Todd Howard was impressed by the show’s faithfulness!
Fallout Boss Didn’t Anticipate Such Level of Detail
Even the most faithful adaptations tend to stick to what’s visible on the screen. It only makes sense, after all: why bother with something no one in the audience will never get a chance to appreciate? But that wasn’t the approach the Fallout team chose. They went all-in, crafting the bits and pieces that were literally never shown to us.

Upon launch, Starfield was the gaming equivalent of ‘pineapple on pizza’— Everyone hated it. But over time, it amassed a new fan following, as well as winning over its initial player base. While there are still some polarizing opinions on this game, it can’t be denied that Bethesda is keeping up with the trend, i.e., launching a broken game and then working on it over the next few months… Still, they’ve managed to salvage their reputation after the messy splatter Fallout 76 left.
Starfield holds on with lukewarm reviews
And of course, Todd Howard is at the center of it all. Drawing flak for everything that went wrong with this game, Bethesda’s boss had some explaining to do. Stating that it was a bold new IP (their brand new one in about 25 years) with Bethesda trying out ambitious feats, Howard appeared on the Kinda Funny Gamescast to clear the air.

With modern resources, console games are constantly improving in terms of graphics and performance. Consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S allow gamers to run certain games at 120 frames per second, depending on the freedom game developers give players. Helldivers 2 launched earlier this year to loads of critical and commercial acclaim owing to its simple yet exceedingly fun gameplay loop, fair monetization strategy, constant support and community interaction from developer Arrowhead, and a community that embodied the tenets of teamwork.

Starfield is a dream come true for Bethesda Game Studios. The developer has crafted several iconic franchises like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls but this new ambitious space title was a passion project for the team. However, the game lacked one key feature for an open-world game.

Ubisoft has had its ups and downs with the Far Cry franchise over the years, with a few games outperforming the others, and some that players even avoid talking about. One particular title that has received mixed feelings from players over the years is Far Cry 2, a game that Clint Hocking might have had a different vision for before it was finally released.
Clint Hocking had a different vision for the game before it came out
For those who do not know, Hocking was also responsible for the development of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series, which primarily focused on stealth-based missions and just might have been where the director got his experience with the said play style.
What Did Clint Hocking Envision For Ubisoft’s Far Cry 2
Unlike Splinter Cell, the level design in Far Cry 2 does not support pure silent takedowns as the enemies ultimately have better awareness.

Fallout games have seen a rise in popularity since Prime Video’s TV series was launched last month, and Fallout 3 has also seen some effects from it. One fan has recreated the iconic town of the game, Megaton, in Far Cry 5’s arcade mode, and it may be the best creation seen so far in arcade mode.
The recreation looks amazing in the game, and the fan has managed to stay faithful to the original look of the town. While it is surely exciting to see the town in Ubisoft’s game, it also shows that the renowned publisher has not been able to crack the full potential of the popular franchise.

Starfield is getting a massive free update in a few weeks, which will include a bunch of new stuff like ship interior customization, gameplay and difficult adjustments, and a ton of performance settings for Xbox Series X users.
However, one of the most exciting updates hitting the game isn’t coming in May but is currently being worked on for a future release. Buckle your seatbelts and brace yourselves, because the game is finally going to have vehicles.
Starfield Is Finally Getting Vehicles Soon, you’ll be able to traverse planets at a much faster pace in Starfield.
