Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired worldwide rights (excluding Canada) to Mark Sawers’ No Men Beyond This Point and is planning a 2016 release for the sci-fi comedy.
Recently screened in the Vanguard section of the Toronto festival, the film is set in a world where women no longer need men in order to reproduce and are no longer giving birth to male babies, leaving the male population on the verge of extinction.
Sawers wrote and directed, with Patrick Gilmore, Kristine Cofsky, Tara Pratt, Cameron McDonald, Rekha Sharma, Ken Kramer, Morgan Taylor Campbell and Mary Black starring. Kaleena Kiff and Galen Fletcher produced.
Peter Goldwyn of Samuel Goldwyn Films said: “Mark has a truly original voice and made a film that is both smart and funny – and is also an incredibly interesting take on gender politics. I’m excited to have the opportunity to release it and imagine we will have a lot of fun on this campaign.”

Office comedy tends to focus on making the everyday mundane funny - see everything from Dilbert and Office Space to The Office. It's perfectly natural, of course; they just take the day-to-day idiosyncrasies of office life and stretch it just a little bit further than they normally go, with generally hilarious results. The first episode of AdMuse, created by writer-director-editor-cameraman Terry Miles, quickly establishes that day-to-day-office humor is exactly what AdMuse is not. Over the course of five minutes, copywriter Brickman Mordecai (Casey Manderson) finds friction with creative director Sandra Smith (Michelle Miazga) over an advertisement spot starring tall blonde bikini-clad junior copywriter Jeannie Evans (Kristine Cofsky) for Stuff-It Brand Caulking. "Caulk," purrs Jeannie, and the text overlay simply says "Caulk: Because It's A Verb".

The tough guy who once guarded my integrity and scruples has broken down under a barrage of consumer slogans crafted for a self-absorbed culture. I’m now willing to sell out. Advertising looks fun. Created by budding Canadian filmmaker Terry Miles for Filmaka, AdMuse is a wacky, surreal, id-laced comedic web series about two gals and two guys - and their various interns – at work and at play within a boutique ad agency that might be called ‘Jacobson,’ named after the shop’s Billionaire owner. At least we know he “paid for this place.” The series sets its standard, its high-water mark, and its perennial call-back line in episode 1, with its ad for Stuff-It Brand Caulking: Because “Caulk” is a Verb. Jeannie (Kristine Cofsky), a tall blond with transparently green eyes,...
