Jonathan Beattie is a camera operator and Steadicam specialist. He's a proud member of the International Cinematographers Guild IASTE Local 600, the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) & the Steadicam Operators Association (SOA). A versatile camera operator steadicam, handheld, remote heads and the geared head. Adding to that is experience operating on the Ultimate and Russian Arm high speed pursuit vehicles.
Working with many talented directors and directors of photography and helping them to capture their vision.
Having put together a state of the art steadicam package with a full compliment of cables, brackets and widgets. Jon's kit stands out for being able to handle any build in any situation with backups and options others' kits don't begin to offer.
Working fast and being able to get challenging shots quickly.
In addition to working as an operator Jon also has been invited to instruct at numerous steadicam workshops. Teaching at the SOA workshop in Philly, Tiffen workshops, the Maine Media workshops and at Ashbury University. Having been a part of teaching many students and aspiring operators. Continuing to learn, sharing and passing on everything he's learned.
