- Richard Farmer was born on August 8, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. He was a cinematographer, known for The Directors (1997), 98 Degrees: Heat It Up (1999) and Life, the Universe and Douglas Adams (2005). He died on August 14, 2006 in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California, USA.
- Is credited with the famous shot of the orange jumpsuit clad Tim McViegh, "the Oklahoma City Bomber", exiting the Perry, Oklahoma Courthouse on his way to federal prison. This shot is possibly the most televised shot of the 1990s.
- He and his writing partner/father Dave Farmer were awarded 2nd place in the National "Writer's Place" Screenwriting Contest. Their Screenplay is taken from Rich's early years in the News business as a "Stringer", which is the name of their project.
