- Randy is survived by his wife, Donna Schell; his children, Jared Schell (wife, Jennie), Jackie Hartle (husband, Gary) and Heather Farrar (husband, Tate); his five grandchildren; his three siblings, Jerry Schell, Lorraine Barrow and Andrew Schell along with his brother-in-law, Roy Barrow and nephews, Ryan Barrow, Roy Barrow, Jr., DJ Barrow, and Brock Schell. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Larry Schell.
- He began his career in radio at the age of 14 at KAOK in Sulphur as a disc jockey. He worked at over a dozen radio stations throughout his career along with being a broadcast and production engineer and voice actor.
- He was a voice actor (most famous for The Walking Dead (2010), production engineer, broadcast engineer, sky diver, pilot and martial artist.
- Died unexpectedly on July 8, 2017 at the age of 64 while making his 1,703rd skydive.
