Martin is a multi-talented actor; his true passion lies in bringing compelling characters to life on screen. With his magnetic presence and undeniable talent, Martin has enchanting audiences across popular Film & TV shows such as Princess Switch 2, Falling for Figaro, River City, & Outlander, to name a few. Always one to push boundaries and explore new roles, Martin embraced the opportunity to take the lead as the ghost of Robert Burns in the short film 'Burns Night', showcasing his ability to embody complex historical characters, & leaving a lasting impression with his nuanced performance. Following this success, he joined the core team of Amazon Prime's hit series Good Omens season 2. The same year he had a small feature on the BBC drama The Control Room. Additionally, his portrayal of 'The Good Fairy' in the panto The Wizard of 'Shawz' delighted crowds during the Christmas season, highlighting his versatility and enigmatic stage presence. Continuing to enjoy the industry, Martin secured dialogue in the high-profile movie; BatGirl, starring Hollywood luminaries Leslie Grace and Michael Keaton. (Sadly, now cancelled). His dedication to raising awareness for important causes shone through in the play Islets of Silence, where he toured as 'the consultant', shedding light on pancreatic cancer. In the same month he showed his capability of immersing himself fully in diverse roles by filming a proof-of-concept trailer; Bondage Controversial, where he played transvestite dominatrix Vivetta. Martin's 2022 was marked by continuous growth as an actor, training under the guidance of Acting Coach Scotland while continuing in productions like Anansi Boys, The Elect, and the new Apple TV series The Buccaneers. He further displayed his range and depth with another feature in season 3 of BBC drama Guilt. Then collaborating with Collective Voices Productions, Martin flawlessly showed of his comedy chops by embodying newsreader Archibald Burlingham, bringing authenticity and gravitas to the role. (A role he will be reprising in Autumn 2023) His dedication to his craft and commitment to excellence were evident in his work on various projects such as Payback, Six Four, & season 2 of Crime. Including contributing behind the scenes as chaperone on the rebooted detective drama Rebus, & yet another feature on season 2 of The Rig. Martin was also thrilled to have danced with Doon Mackichan reprising her role as Cathy on season 7 of the hilarious Two Doors Down, while also exploring the art of improvisation alongside renowned actor and casting director Lenny Mullan at the Glasgow Acting Academy.
