Davide Perico was born in Bergamo on December 2, 1974. He has lived in the province of Milan for 5
years. Perico received a classical musical education, starting as a child to study piano. From adolescence he began to get passionate about synthesizers and the world of sound design (this passion
still continues) and to play with the first rock bands with his friends.
At just the age of 19, he has started his own career as a sound technician, both live and in the studio. In those years he has followed
great American jazz musicians on their Italian tours.
In 1995 he recorded the album "in cammino tra sette cieli" with the Lino Capra Vaccina Ensemble as a pianist
and keyboard player (Lino is a percussionist and vibraphonist of Franco Batttiato) and he participated in the
relative tour in Italy. Between 1998 and 2000 he was a keyboard player, co-author and producer in the Nirnaeth Space Lab with
which he recorded the album of the same name. One of the tracks ("Big Bang") was chosen for the
celebratory double vinyl dedicated to the cult science fiction series "SPACE 1999".
"Following my career as a sound engineer, he took over and my activity as a live musician suffered a sudden setback. I have followed great American jazz musicians on their Italian tours. In my career I worked as FOH engineer for many artists such as Ernesttico Rodriguez, Cubanisima orchestra, Anna Oxa, Quintorigo, New Trolls and many others. I didn't have time to play with a band anymore, so I started studying composition for orchestra and composing music dedicated to the sound reinforcement of videos. Among others I remember the music for the DVD celebrating 25 years of B&B Italia and for 10 years of Fastweb. In 2012, commissioned by Maestro Maurizio Mastrini, I made an electronic version of his entire solo piano album "Terra": the work was published under the title "io la suono così". Regarding my style I love the union between orchestra and electronic instruments, and without a doubt I love romantic and dark atmospheres".
