Kevin Frazier got a nasty Dm on social media and he suspects it was a Married at First Sight star who wrote the shady message.
The long-running reunion host put the “thumb thug” on blast and asked his followers to guess which Mafs star could be behind the “you suck as a host” comment.
Interestingly, two names kept popping up as people reacted to the hilarious post.
Some people guessed Season 17 star Emily Balch, who had a tense faceoff with Kevin at the reunion.
That’s a pretty good guess because Emily’s castmate Chloe Brown also accused the blonde beauty and her Pink Pact of using burner accounts to post nasty comments about her.
Another name that came up while fans were playing the guessing game, was controversial Season 12 star Chris Williams, who had a penchant for lashing out at his Mafs castmates and the show’s experts.

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about lotsa shows including Ghosts, Ripley, S.W.A.T. and Law & Order: Organized Crime!

Once upon a time, Netflix was in the business of auteur-driven animation, allowing filmmakers like Guillermo del Toro work on his dream project "Pinocchio," giving Henry Selick his first movie in 13 years after Disney killed his previous project, letting Charlie Kaufman deliver an existential kids' animated movie in "Orion and the Dark," and rescuing "Nimona" after Disney pulled the plug. The streamer has partnered with the likes of Glen Keane, Sergio Pablos, Richard Linklater, Chris Williams, Craig McCracken, and Jorge R. Gutiérrez, but a name that won't join this list anytime soon is legendary filmmaker David Lynch.
Speaking with Deadline, Lynch offered an update on his long-gestating animated movie "Snootworld," which he's been teasing since at least 2009. Lynch co-wrote the script for his animated feature debut with Caroline Thompson ("The Nightmare Before Christmas"), with Lynch penning the second of the film's three acts.

It’s hard to forget the disastrous Married at First Sight pairing that was Chris Williams and Paige Banks, but let’s take a rocky walk down memory lane.
We saw the red flags on Paige and Chris’s wedding day and knew this wouldn’t be smooth sailing.
The drama started soon after they tied the knot, with Chris boldly proclaiming that he wasn’t attracted to his wife — despite consummating his marriage not once but twice.
After that shocking moment played out, Chris had another bombshell to drop: his ex-fiance, Mercedes Myrick, was pregnant with his child.
Throughout the season, Paige continued to exercise patience and stick by her husband despite him disrespecting her at every turn.
Viewers eventually grew frustrated with Paige for staying with Chris despite being publicly embarrassed each week.
Shockingly, it wasn’t until the very end that Paige decided to end her marriage...

In his final public appearance before the series finale of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Larry David joined MSNBC’s Ari Melber Friday night for a special discussion in Manhattan hosted by Tribeca Festival.
David, a Brooklyn native whose distinctly New York Jewish comedy migrated to the golf courses of West Los Angeles, was warmly welcomed by an audience of a few hundred. He waved off a standing ovation before taking a seat.
When asked if he feels more Jewish when returning to New York, David scoffed: “Can I feel more Jewish? … That’s maxed out. But I do feel comfortable here.”
After a highlight reel of “Curb Your Enthusiasm’s” funniest moments, Melber began the night by asking David to weigh in on issues of social etiquette — “Curb”-ian conundrums such as when it’s appropriate to leave a dinner party (“10 minutes after dessert”) and how long it should take to...

Controversial Married at First Sight alum Chris Williams recently defended a Netflix star who’s currently getting dragged on social media for comparing herself to Megan Fox.
However, he probably should have sat that one out, because now he’s getting blasted online.
Just when we had all but forgotten about Chris’ behavior on the show — but not really — he reignited the critics with his latest comment.
It all started when the Atlanta native responded to a post on social media mocking Love is Blind Season 6 contestant Chelsea Blackwell.
Chris lashed out at the “disgusting” treatment of reality TV personalities and called the critics “miserable.”
If there’s one person who knows about TV backlash, it’s Chris, who easily became the biggest villain in Mafs history when he married Paige Banks.

Things don’t always work out for the cast of Married at First Sight. While the show has produced some lasting partnerships, such as Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner from season 1, most couples end up getting divorced.
Some Married at First Sight participants part ways amicably, having agreed they’re just not meant to be together. But other relationships blow up in a major way, with nasty words and ugly accusations from both sides. Occasionally, people end up matched with a spouse who simply refuses to participate in the process in good faith. They check out early on, play mind games, or are (in extreme cases) borderline abusive. That’s what happened to these four people. The Mafs experts got their matches badly wrong, and they definitely deserved a do-over.

We’re not sure who asked for it, but Vince Vaughn is returning to star in a sequel to his 2004 comedy Dodgeball, reports Deadline.
The film is in early development stages at 20th Century Studios, with Jordan VanDina attached to write the script based on an idea from Vaughn. This isn’t the first time Vaughn has worked together with VanDina; the actor starred in The Binge, a 2020 parody of The Purge that was also penned by the writer.
At this time, there’s no word yet about whether Rawson Marshall Thurber — who wrote and directed the original Dodgeball — will be involved with the sequel. However, Thurber previously said “never say never” about expanding the Dodgeball universe. Vaughn, who will likely produce the movie, is the only actor currently attached.

If you can dodge a wrench, then you can dodge the curse of the crappy comedy sequel… hopefully. Deadline has reported that Vince Vaughn is set to return for the long-awaited Dodgeball sequel, which is in early development at 20th Century Studios.
The Dodgeball sequel has been scripted by Jordan VanDina (The Binge) and it’s expected that Vince Vaughn will also produce. The original movie starred Vaughn as Pete Lafleur, owner of Average Joe’s Gym. When he defaults on the gym’s mortgage, he enters a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament with his misfit friends in order to win the $50,000 prize to save their cherished gym from being taken over by corporate health fitness chain Globo Gym. Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote and directed the original movie, but it’s unknown if he will be involved in the sequel in any form.

Time to brush up on the 5 D’s of “Dodgeball” — “dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge” — because a sequel to the 2004 hit comedy is officially in the works.
Vince Vaughn is returning to star in the sequel, which is in early development at 20th Century Studios. Plot details are being kept under wraps but Jordan VanDina (“The Binge”) has signed on to pen the script, from an idea by Vaughn.
The original film “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” followed Peter La Fleur (Vaughn), owner of Average Joe’s Gym, a small and shabby, yet cherished, local haunt frequented by a group of misfits. Exclusive: Vince Vaughn will return to star in (and likely produce) a sequel to his hit 2004 comedy, Dodgeball, scripted by Jordan VanDina (The Binge), which is in early development at 20th Century Studios, Deadline has learned.

The 2023 Oscars hit almost all the right notes, with Jimmy Kimmel doing a terrific job of hosting, starting with a monologue that acknowledged last year’s slap heard around the world. Kimmel used his opening bit to point out there are 16 first-time acting nominees, including two from Encino Man – Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan.
Kimmel poked fun at Babylon for being a bust at the box office and noted Batgirl is the first superhero to be defeated by an accounting department. He also confirmed James Cameron declined his invitation, joking that you know a show is too long when even Cameron can’t sit through it.
“Some of the critics are saying Jim Cameron isn’t here because he didn’t get a ‘Best Director’ nomination. And, well, I find that very hard to believe about a man of such deep humility. He does have a point. I mean,...

It turned out that “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was pretty much everything to every Oscar voter. Of its 11 nominations, it won seven, including the big one: Best Picture. The last Best Picture winner to win that many statuettes was “Gravity” in 2014.
“Eeaao” started off strong when Ke Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor. Then Jamie Lee Curtis nabbed Best Supporting Actress and, later in the evening, the Daniels took home Best Original Screenplay. By the time it won Film Editing, the seemingly unstoppable breakout hit‘s momentum was undeniable. It then went on to triumph in Best Director, Best Actress and finally, Best Picture.

Mark Gustafson and Alexander Bulkley, “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio”
“Pinocchio” is Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of the classic tale of a father’s wish that brings a wooden boy to life. Gustafson is co-director on the film, and “Pinocchio” is his feature debut as director. He found directing with del Toro amicable because “we had very similar sensibilities, so it was ultimately quite easy. We thought about seams, story and character in very much the same way.” Bulkley is a producer on the film and says of the stop-motion style,...

When Chris Williams started developing “The Sea Beast,” he knew he wanted to explore several themes and that one of them would be how the way that history is taught can affect how we act in the present. “I talked about the fact that I wanted to really examine this idea of a cycle of aggression and a cycle of violence and how it can perpetuate itself and how difficult it can be to break away from it,” he tells Gold Derby during our recent webchat (watch the exclusive video interview above).
He continued to pursue this theme because of the events that he saw happening around him and how that affected people’s view of the world. “There are times where there are powerful interests that will create narratives that can pit us against ourselves for their own gain. That felt more specific and more potent.”

Married at First Sight couple Jake Harder and Haley Harris weren’t exactly a match made in heaven. The Atlanta pair wed on the 12th season of the Lifetime show, but they suffered from a serious lack of chemistry that ultimately ended up dooming their marriage. Since divorcing, both have moved on. Here’s what’s up with Haley and Jake today, two years after their Mafs experience.
Jake and Haley didn’t click on ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 12
The Married at First Sight experts had high hopes that Jake, a 38-year-old It analyst, and Haley, 28-year-old account executive, would find happiness after meeting at the altar. Unfortunately, things didn’t pan out that way. Though they were intimate during their Las Vegas honeymoon, the relationship stalled soon after. Jacob felt Haley was shutting him out, while she seemed unwilling to accept her husband’s quirks. Unsurprisingly, they decided to divorce on Decision Day.

Philip K. Dick was one of the best science fiction authors in Hollywood. The writer is responsible for some of the biggest and most influential sci-fi stories in the genre, with several of his works making it into TV and film adaptations.
While most of his work usually gets swept up, one has remained in production limbo for over a decade. So what happened to Dick’s Disney adaptation, The King of the Elves?
What is ‘The King of the Elves’ about?
The King of the Elves is a short story written by Dick that was first published in 1953. The story follows an old man named Shadrach who owns a gas station in the fictional Derryville, Colorado. While Shadrach doesn’t make a lot of money running the gas station, he makes enough to sustain his humble lifestyle.

Metal supergroup Elegant Weapons have released their debut single. The band — comprised of Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner, Rainbow singer Ronnie Romero, Uriah Heep bassist Dave Rimmer, and Accept drummer Christopher Williams — have unleashed the classic metal-sounding “Blind Leading the Blind.”
The track will appear on Elegant Weapons’ upcoming debut album, Horns for a Halo, out May 26th via Nuclear Blast.
When Elegant Weapons were first announced this past October, Pantera bassist Rex Brown and Judas Priest drummer Scott Travis were named as members of the band. While they are no longer part of the group’s permanent lineup, each has contributed to the forthcoming album.
The band is set to tour Europe in June, but Faulkner says more touring, and even a second album are in the works.
“As far as the future, we are all dedicated to giving this band the longest life we can,” stated the guitarist in a press release.

Paige Banks didn’t meet the love of her life on Married at First Sight. The season 12 bride’s marriage to Chris Williams was a disaster thanks to his shady behavior and manipulative ways. But since splitting from her husband of eight weeks on Decision Day, she’s picked up the pieces and moved on. Today, she’s focused on living her best life without her toxic ex.

It's hard to overstate what a phenomenal year 2022 was for animated films. One of the most adventurous and aesthetically diverse years in recent memory, the animated medium truly had something for everyone. There were stories about the dangers of privatizing prisons presented through the lens of punk rock stop-motion and wisecracking demons, coming-of-age tales marrying anime influences with Y2K pop sensibilities, and just about everything else in between. One of my favorites of the year was Chris Williams' anti-imperialist seafaring adventure flick for Netflix, "The Sea Beast."
Boasting the second-largest Top 10 tenure for a Netflix film launched in 2022, reaching the Top 10 Films (English) list in all 93 countries in which Netflix tracks the Top 10, landing on the Top 10 films list for 40 days or more (non-consecutive) in 30 countries, and continuing to remain the biggest Netflix animated feature to date, "The Sea Beast" was still a bit of a shocker when it...

What if a character in a stop-motion animated film gained awareness that he was a character in a stop-motion animated film?
The premise is so wonderfully simple that you can’t help but believe it. And that’s what transpires in director Lachlan Pendragon’s Oscar-nominated “An Ostrich Told Me the World Is Fake and I Think I Believe It.” Pendragon, a 26-year-old Australian animator, also voices the role of Neil, the office-bound telemarketer who questions his own existence after the event of the title. (More about that title in our interview below.)
Pendragon made the 10-minute short over the course of a year while in Covid lockdown. In an even deeper self-reflexive twist, his real human hands are sometimes visible in the film.
In fact, almost the entire story plays out on a camera monitor, with all of Pendragon’s meticulous, frame-by-frame labor visible in the margins, like so:...

“The Sea Beast,” the most-watched Netflix original animated film, is also an Oscar nominee for Best Animated Feature. And it’s the type of movie that you can feel was made by someone who really loves movies.
That someone is producer/writer/director Chris Williams, whose story centers on a monster hunter named Jacob (Karl Urban) whose life is turned upside down by a pint-sized stowaway named Maisie (Zaris-Angel Hator). Maisie winds up challenging his entire way of life, as he’s forced to confront the harsh truths about what he does so well – hunt sea monsters.

Later this week Gorillaz, the cartoon pop band created by Blur stalwart Damon Albarn and “Tank Girl” cartoonist Jamie Hewlett, will release their eighth studio album, “Cracker Island.” The album is already receiving rave reviews (Rolling Stones called it the band’s “most purely pleasurable LP yet”) but, sadly, another Gorillaz project is no more.
Albarn, talking to Belgian publication Humo (via Stereogum), said the Gorillaz movie that was being worked on with Netflix is no longer happening: “The new record came about because Jamie and I were often in Los Angeles. We were working on a Gorillaz feature film, which will never happen.”
When the publication asked if the movie was “permanently suspended,” Albarn confirmed that, yes, it was dead. “That is to say, and without naming names because the whole matter has not yet been settled: the streaming platform for which we were making the film has withdrawn.

This marks the sixth year that the entire membership of the academy can take part in the nomination stage of the Animated Feature Oscar race. Previously, only select members of the Short Films and Feature Animation Branch and invited members from the other branches could serve on the committee that decided the nominees. Collectively, the committee tended to favor traditional and stop-motion films over CG fare. (Scroll down for the most up-to-date 2023 Oscars Best Animated Feature predictions.)
Mandatory attendance at screenings has been dropped and voters who want to be on the nominations committee need only attest to having seen all the contenders at theaters or screenings or by way of the the academy’s streaming site.
The method of determining the nominees has also changed. Gone is the system where voters scored a film from 6 (poor) to 10 (excellent) with only those movies meriting an average mark of at least 7.5 eligible for a nomination.

Oscar nomination day is often the most exciting and insufferable day of the year for film fans, as we all dedicate far too much time and energy into debating whether or not a group of rich, wealthy, and powerful industry folks made the "right" judgment call on artistic contributions to the world of cinema. I try my best to not hurt my own feelings by getting personally invested in the outcomes, but it's hard to make that emotional separation when you love movies more than anything else in the world. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this conflict, where you want to pretend like none of this matters while knowing deep down, it uh, sort of matters a lot.
Historically speaking, the Best Animated Feature category is where I have the hardest time not getting worked up in my feels about the results. Last year was particularly embarrassing for...

Now the Oscar race can really begin. The year’s biggest breakout indie hit, A24’s “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” led the pack of nominees for the 95th Academy Awards that were announced this morning, with 11 nods, including Best Picture, Director, Actress, Supporting Actress (x2) and Supporting Actor. Warner Bros.’ “Elvis” picked up eight nods and Universal’s “The Fabelmans” took seven.
Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams announced the nominees live on Tuesday from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. It was the first in-person nomination announcement with press in attendance since before the pandemic.
As Steve Pond, TheWrap’s Executive Editor, Awards, noted in his final predictions, with the Academy bigger and more international than ever before, it was likely they would throw several surprises.

Growing up, Chris Williams loved adventure movies, and among his favorites was King Kong. “The idea of the uncharted island, the mysteries beyond the horizon, was so compelling to me, and then there’s meeting this fierce beast that was so huge in scale and so formidable,” he says. “Yet over the course of the story, you form a real connection and empathy toward the creature. That, to me, was just an incredible feat of storytelling.”
Williams, an Oscar winner for Disney’s Big Hero Six, also recalls seeing old maps of the sea: “The mapmakers would populate the ocean with these really fantastic sea creatures.” This was the spark that would become The Sea Beast, in 2018 among the first original animated features to be greenlit by Netflix Animation.
The entertaining and inspiring adventure is set in a rich maritime world based on the 1700s, except sea monsters are real.

This story about “The Sea Beast” first appeared in the Awards Preview issue of TheWrap awards magazine.
“The Sea Beast,” the latest feature from director Chris Williams and his first for Netflix, is a rollicking throwback to the kind of old-school adventure movies that Williams grew up with: 1976’s “King Kong,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Clash of the Titans,” and of course, “Star Wars.” It is set in a mythical land with deep ties to the ocean — a place where monster-hunting isn’t just encouraged, it’s sponsored by the kingdom. And it’s where one monster hunter named Jacob (voiced by Karl Urban) forms an unlikely friendship with a young girl (Zaris-Angel Hator) and learns that the creatures aren’t just killing machines.
No sequence establishes the world — and the stakes — like the opening high seas monster hunt.

At last count, Disney Animation Studios has canonized 61 of their features. The central "Disney Canon" refers to an ill-defined section of the studio's animated feature output that, as far as one might surmise, serves as examples of the studio's preferred "house style." The Disney Animated Canon includes several animation styles and media, of course, but the 61 films in question are considered to be "official." Canonized Disney films cannot be co-productions, they must be pointedly toyetic, and are typically not auteur-driven. One might not be able to, for instance, recall the directors of "Cinderella" (1950) off the top of their head. Their names, incidentally, are Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske. The trio also directed Disney's animated films "Lady and the Tramp," "Peter Pan," and "Alice in Wonderland."
For Disney, though, the company is the auteur, and weird, smaller projects tend to be excluded from the Disney Canon. "A Goofy Movie,...

Get ready to sail the seas again! "The Sea Beast" director and co-writer Chris Williams is working on a sequel to his nautical fantasy adventure, an animated film that's equal parts "How to Train Your Dragon" on the high seas, a love letter to "King Kong" and similar giant monster movie classics, and a surprisingly authentic portrayal of life on the ocean in the vein of "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World."
"The Sea Beast" marked the solo directing debut for Williams, who spent over 20 years working for Disney Animation on projects like "Bolt," "Big Hero 6," and "Moana" before jumping ship to Netflix for "The Sea Beast." Set in a historical fantasy world where colorful kaiju roam the seas, the film centers on Jacob Holland (Karl Urban), a monster hunter eager to earn his stripes and become the captain of his own sailing vessel by killing...

After working at Disney for over twenty-five years, Chris Williams left the iconic animation studio to set out on his own. He met with several different studios but set up shop at Netflix after being won over by their enthusiasm. “When I decided I was going to leave, I went to get the lay of the land and met other studios,” Williams told THR. “And I was impressed that they talked about their five-year plan, or 10-year plan, the ‘why we believe we’re going to be successful’ presentations. Netflix was different. Netflix was like, ‘This is the crazy train. We don’t know where this is going. You want in?’” Williams’ first project was The Sea Beast, which has gone on to become the most-viewed animated movie in Netflix’s history, and you know what that means… sequel, baby!
