General Hospital is staging another crossover with a defunct soap opera, and we are so here for it.
According to TV Line, One Life to Live's Kassie DePaiva will return in the role of Blair Cramer on the ABC series.
The news comes just weeks after the actress opened up to Soap Opera Digest about a potential return.
"There's a lot of history there, a lot of time, a lot of water under that bridge," she shared while promoting her return to Days of Our Lives as Eve Donovan.
"But I guess Todd is not Todd, right?" she offered, adding:
"So if I was to go back on that show, he probably wouldn't recognize me."
"But I could go, 'You're hot. You look like somebody I used to know.'"

Well, this is a pleasant surprise.
Walt Willey is returning to daytime TV and reprising one of his most beloved roles.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the All My Children alum has closed a deal to star on General Hospital.
And get this:
Willey will be playing Jackson Montgomery!
Cool, right?
It's always nice when a character we thought was long gone gets to stage a comeback long after the series has ended.
Willey joined the cast of All My Children in 1987 and stayed put until the 2011 series finale on ABC.
This is not the first time Willey has played Jackson in another series.
He appeared in The City in 1996, so this will be the third series the actor has played the same role.
Plot details are being kept under wraps about what brings Jackson to Port Charles, but it will be interesting to find out what happened to him...

Michael B. Jordan and Chadwick Boseman made for an iconic hero-villain pairing in last year’s superhero blockbuster “Black Panther,” but their careers have been intertwined since 2003. Following his breakout role on the first season of “The Wire,” a 16-year-old Jordan joined the cast of the ABC soap opera “All My Children” in the role of Reggie Porter. Jordan took over the role from Boseman, who played Porter for just one week. The casting swap is hardly breaking news, but the reason why it happened was finally revealed by Boseman during a joint interview with Jordan for the latest edition of The Wrap’s awards season magazine.
“It’s one of those things where you get a role, and you don’t really know,” Boseman said. “When I got it, I was like, ‘This is not part of my manifesto. This is not part of what I want to do.

All My Children's Walt Willey appeared on ABC 7 in Chicago today to talk about the soap his upcoming stand up comedy appearances at Zanies in the area. He revealed he is in the dark about the future of AMC.
"I don't know what to say," Willey said. "We hear about this Prospect Park is paying the licensing for this and plan to continue it on the internet. On the one hand, Kevin Spacey is now doing a series for Netflix on the internet so clearly it's the wave of the future. On the other hand, none of us have really been spoken to about how it's going to continue. We haven't been spoken to about salaries or benefits or unions or anything like that."
"I'm pleased as punch that there might be a way to continue the show with or without me," he continued.
Willey also had high praise for All My Children fans.

Actress Julia Barr returns to the television role she played for 30 years which earned her eight Emmy Award nominations, Brooke English on All My Children. The actress will tape a week of episodes in August, which will air in September -- the final shows of the daytime drama to be televised on the ABC Television Network.
Barr joined the show in 1976 and left in 2006. In 2010, by popular demand, she returned for a three month run, pairing Brooke with actor David Canary’s character Adam Chandler, one of her long-time loves.
In making the announcement Barr said, “I am thrilled to be back on the show personally and professionally for what will be an exciting and emotional time. I have no idea yet what brings Brooke back to Pine Valley, but trust that Lorraine Broderick -- AMC’s best head writer in the history of the show -- has something brilliant in the works.

Eric Braeden calls the Daytime Emmys a "farce"
"Under no circumstances would I have been there," Braeden told TV Guide Magazine. "I think it's a joke. It's a farce. And it has been that way for a lot of years. They make it more ridiculous every year. I don't watch it because they [pre-]nominate from within each show now — some genius came up with that nonsense a few years ago — and it has turned the system into a popularity contest. I'm very glad Heather Tom won. And Bradley Bell. They are decent people in this business. And, of course, Maria Bell, who has done a very good job. But I don't think about the Emmys. You are the one who brought it up. I just ignore it and so do two or three other people at Y&R."

Susan Lucci's lovely, heartfelt new memoir All My Life (It Books/HarperCollins) hits the market March 29 and is sure to be treasured by her many fans. There's some surprising backstage drama here, most notably when the All My Children star recalls her controversial abortion story line in the 1970s, and reveals how she suffered a miscarriage just as the plot was unfolding on air. (No one at the soap knew she was expecting.) And Lucci finally opens up about her long string of Emmy losses, saying her "angst was only multiplied" by the media fuss. But she's the first to admit her life is blessed. No ghastly scandals. No wrenching regrets. No devastatingly dumb decisions. The same can't be said for Erica Kane. On March 29, the Pine Valley siren — already married 11 times — is so determined to prove she's not in love with Caleb (Michael Nouri) that she pushes her...

The Best Actor race at the Daytime Emmy Awards is shaping up to be one of the most interesting of recent years, with every soap opera having to decide between multiple veteran performers who have submitted their name for consideration. He is unlikely to prevail over actors like Ricky Paull Goldin or Darnell Williams who both had more airtime and a much wider range of material from which to choose. For others like Tristan Rogers from “The Young & The Restless" the issue is less about airtime...
