“Our Cartoon President,” Showtime’s animated comedy that skewers Donald Trump‘s White House, is hoping to shake up the 2018 Emmys … bigly. Best Animated Program has seen its fair share of repeat winners over the years, with 10-time champ “The Simpsons” being the granddaddy of all. “South Park” is next at three wins, followed by “Bob’s Burgers,” “Futurama” and “Star Wars: Clone Wars” with two apiece. But “Our Cartoon President” has a secret weapon that could help it break through with Emmy voters: co-creator Stephen Colbert.

Colbert is an Emmy favorite, winning nine trophies over the years for writing and producing both “The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” As the star of CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” he was tasked with hosting last year’s Emmy ceremony to great fanfare.

"Family Guy" hit Ballroom 20 on Saturday (July 26) for its annual Comic-Con panel, an event with kinda tends to ebb and flow in hype based on whether or not Seth MacFarlane is there to mock question-askers. This was a second consecutive Seth MacFarlane-free year. Last year he was working on "A Million Ways To Die In The West." This year, his absence was unexplained [on the "Family Guy" panel, but it came up at "American Dad" subsequently] and raises the possibility that Seth MacFarlane has just become too big for making fun of questioners at Comic-Con. Fortunately, in lieu of Seth MacFarlane, the "Family Guy" team arrived with a longer clip reel for the season's hour-long "The Simpsons Guy" crossover event, which will air on September 28. At TCA press tour last week we got a very brief sizzle reel that included jokes about the Springfield location ("I can't imagine we're allowed to...

For more than a decade, Seth MacFarlane has stretched the envelope of comedy about as far as it can go as the visionary behind the hit television shows Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show. Now he brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director, producer and voice star of Ted.
In the live-action/CG-animated comedy, MacFarlane tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg of The Other Guys, Contraband), a grown man whose simple childhood wish brought his cherished teddy bear to life. Almost 30 years later, the fairy tale is very much over. Ted is reluctant to leave John.s side.to the increasing annoyance of John.s only-so-patient girlfriend, Lori Collins (Mila Kunis of Friends With Benefits, Black Swan).
Though Lori.s displeasure with John is exacerbated by his dead-end career and days spent smoking weed and drinking beers with Ted,...

Fox has decided to delay making a decision on the future of The Cleveland Show. On the positive side, viewers aren't likely to notice -- at least for awhile -- because of a backlog of episodes.
A spin-off of Family Guy, The Cleveland Show revolves around Peter Griffin's pal, Cleveland Brown (Mike Henry), who moves back to his hometown in Virginia to get married. The animated series also stars the voices of Sanaa Lathan, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth MacFarlane, Nia Long, Jason Sudeikis, Seth Green, Arianna Huffington, Alec Sulkin, John Viener, Reagan Gomez-Preston, and Aaron Krebs.
Fox gave the show a 13 episode greenlight in May 2008, eying a mid-season 2008-09 launch. In November 2008, Fox ordered additional nine episodes, bringing the first season total to 22.
Execs later decided to delay Cleveland's premiere until Fall 2009. In May 2009, they renewed...
