Freeform has renewed supernatural drama series Motherland: Fort Salem for a third and final season.
Created and written by Eliot Laurence, Motherland: Fort Salem stars Taylor Hickson, Jessica Sutton, Ashley Nicole Williams, Amalia Holm, Demetria McKinney, and Lyne Renée. The drama is set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution nearly 300 years ago by cutting a deal with the U.S. government to fight for their country. In this world, the traditional roles of gender and power are flipped, with the more dominant women on the front lines fighting looming terrorist threats that are familiar to our world — but with supernatural tactics and weapons.
News of the series’ third and final season comes just a day before its Season 2 finale, which will air at 10 p.m. Tuesday on Freeform. A battle looms for Fort Salem against witch-hunting group the Camarilla.

The 100 wouldn't exist in the space that it does if not for the iconic Raven Reyes, a part of the legacy that the show prepares to leave behind during it's seventh and final season.
Lindsey Morgan took on the role of Raven Reyes in the first season, and since then has continued to showcase the strength and the courage that comes with the character that we all know and love.
She has approached the role with such skill and such talent, demonstrating how a fan-favorite character is created based on putting emotion and soul into each individual scene.
Coming off of The 100 Season 6, Raven has suffered some more loss and has had some anxiety-ridden challenges throughout Sanctum. From saving the people that she cares about to trying to hold on to her humanity, there is plenty still left undone moving into the last season of The 100.

Sam and Dean's work appears to be far from done. The CW has renewed their oldest series, Supernatural, for a 15th season.
A CW paranormal horror drama, season 14 of Supernatural stars Jared Padaldecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as both Dean Winchester and the latest incarnation of the archangel Michael. The cast also includes Misha Collins as Castiel and Alexander Calvert as Jack. This year, guest stars include Jim Beaver, Kim Rhodes, Ruth Connell, Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, Katherine Ramdeen, Clark Blacko, Yadira Guevara-Prip, Samantha Smith, Amanda Tapping, Danneel Ackles, and Felicia Day. Supernatural season 14 kicked off with Sam recruiting everyone to help him track down Dean, and since he’s possessed by Michael, he could be anywhere. Meanwhile, Castiel meets with an unreliable source and finds himself in trouble, and Jack is trying to cope as a human, since his grace was drained last season.

Hello, fellow Traveler. Welcome back to the 21st. (“Century” that is.)
Netflix’s sci-fi series returns for its third season on Dec. 14, hitting just in time for Christmas bingeing. In the Canadian series, operatives called Travelers from the future have been sent back to the 21st century in order to carry out various missions set out by the Director in order to hopefully prevent the future calamities that are endangering the human race. The operative takes over the contemporary host body just seconds before that person is supposed to die and then takes over their life as a cover.
When last we left the operative Grant McLaren (Eric McCormack) and his team – Marcy (MacKenzie Porter), Carly (Nesta Cooper), Trevor (Jared Abrahamsson), and Philip Pearson (Reilly Dolman) – they’d been outmaneuvered to reveal their true identities by the very first operative ever, Traveler 001. He previously had taken the body of host...

Crypto is a psychological thriller from director Jon Silverberg. Partially shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, the film follows one man's journey into madness, in a remote wilderness lodge. The film stars: Amanda Tapping ("Stargate Sg-1"), Frank C. Turner (Alone in the Dark) and Philip Granger. As well, Crypto was produced by: Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double), James Clapper and Desmond Chen. A production update, for Crypto, is hosted here. The story also focuses on Jake's (Richard Harmon) work as a watchman. Left alone in the wilderness, Jake's past begins to catch up to him. A former drug user, he struggles to cope with his isolation as his photography shows unsettling apparitions. A release date has yet to be announced. Though, co-producer Ferda says of the film: "its simply astonishing the quality of cast we have managed to pulled together. I’m so looking forward to audience reactions to the movie.

We salute 10 memorable guest roles on Stargate Sg-1, featuring Seth, The Keeper and more...
As with our previous features, this is a list designed to celebrate the very best performances by guest actors in Stargate Sg-1. However, we did come across a couple of challenges in compiling the list for this particular series. We’ve defined ‘guest performance’ as an actor playing a character who is not a regular or recurring character – so the actor must have played the character no more than twice in this particular series (though they may have appeared more often in other branches of the franchise). Stargate Sg-1 liked to re-use its best guest characters as often as possible, frequently bringing back characters like Claudia Black’s Vala Mal Doran after what was initially a one-off appearance, which is great as the audience get to enjoy them again, but seriously reduces the number of eligible performances.

Another day, another time travel series announced. The trend of timey-wimey TV doesn’t seem to be getting erased from existence any time soon. Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack will star in a new sci-fi series called Travelers on Netflix, the streaming service announced on Tuesday. Netflix is making the project in partnership with Canadian broadcaster Showcase. Travelers (not to be confused with the excellent and short-lived 2007 thriller series Traveler, if any of y’all remember that) comes from Stargate SG-1 creator Brad Wright, and among the cast is Stargate alum Patrick Gilmore. Here’s the full premise — Quantum Leap but with more social media and more FBI: Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. These "travelers" assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working as teams to perform missions...

Sanctuary veteran Amanda Tapping will guest-star on Syfy and Space's Killjoys, the Canadian bounty hunter drama that debuts on June 19, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Sci-fi royalty Tapping will play a fiercely clever scientist in one episode at the back half of the season, with her character's "charismatic charm" keeping her true intentions concealed from the Killjoys. I never really got into MacGyver, but I got my Richard Dean Anderson fix on Stargate Sg-1.
Stargate, as many of you I’m sure remember, was a 1994 movie which circled around a gigantic ring made of unknown metal and covered in what is believed to be Egyptian hieroglyphs that is discovered buried in the sands of Giza, Egypt in during an archeological expedition in 1928. The purpose of the ring remained a mystery for sixty years, its hieroglyphs untranslatable. Finally a brilliant linguist and archaeologist specializing in Egyptology named Daniel Jackson (James Spader) is co-opted by the U.S. government and brought to Cheyenne Mountain (home of Norad) to decipher the scrawlings on the ring, which has been brought there for study and possible use by the military.
He tells the assembled scientists and military officers (including United States Air Force Colonel Jack O’Neil (Kurt Russell) that the hieroglyphs...

The Syfy Channel has been pretty successful porting over Canadian fantasy shows from our neighbors up north. They had quite the success with Amanda Tapping’s “Sanctuary”, and has followed that up with the time-travel “Continuum” and the horror/fantasy “Lost Girl”. They’re tapping the market again, this time for the werewolf drama “Bitten”, starring “Smallville” and “V’s” Laura Vandervoort. Based on the “Women of the Otherworld” novels by Kelley Armstrong, the show is “an emotionally charged supernatural thriller starring Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, Ted) as Elena Michaels, the lone female werewolf in existence”. Here’s a more official synopsis: Desperate to escape both a world she never wanted to be part of and the man who turned her into a werewolf, Elena (Vandervoort) has abandoned her Pack and taken refuge in a new city. There, she works as a photographer and hides her werewolf existence from her new boyfriend.
