Bats and rock ‘n roll rarely go together. There’s Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary biting the head off one. And now, add Taylor Momsen to the list.
Opening for AC/DC on the Power Up tour, the Pretty Reckless frontwoman was bitten on the leg by a small bat. She wasn’t particularly bothered and the show went on, but now she has to undergo two weeks of rabies shots.

Every season is spooky season when you’re Taylor Momsen. During a recent performance opening for AC/DC on the Power Up tour, the Pretty Reckless frontwoman caught the attention of a small bat, which flew onstage and proceeded to sink its teeth into her leg. The musician was barely fazed by the encounter, but it’s going to stick with her — at least for the two weeks that she has to receive rabies shots.

Forty-two years after Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat, the bat world finally retaliated on the rock universe. The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen was bitten by a bat onstage while opening for AC/DC in Seville, Spain, on Wednesday night (May 29th).
Along with a video of the incident and her subsequent visit to the hospital, Momsen posted, “So…Rock And Roll Moment … in Sevilla Wednesday during ‘Witches Burn’ of all songs… a Bat flew onto me and clung to my leg … in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing … he was cute, but yes he bit me … so rabies shots for the next two weeks. thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning … more footage to come … that’s one for the books!

Christmas isn’t tomorrow — unless you’re actually reading this on December 24, which is possible! — but it is practically here! And that means it’s time for the annual Whobilation of watching Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” once again.
Of course, in 2023, there are a few ‘Grinch’ movies to choose from. There’s the original animated special, there’s Jim Carrey’s version and there’s Benedict Cumberbatch’s take on the grumpy character (though you’d be forgiven if you forgot that one existed). The story largely remains the same in each one: Grinch hates Christmas, Grinch decides to steal Christmas, Grinch has the best dog in the world, and Grinch eventually sees the error of his ways.
As Carrey’s Grinch himself says: It’s joyful and triumphant. So, we’ve rounded up where each one is streaming this holiday season..

On Nov. 17, 2000, Universal released the Jim Carrey-starring live-action adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas in theaters, where it would go on to gross $345 million globally. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review is below:
While doing a big-screen live action remake of a beloved animated TV chestnut can no doubt be a daunting task, Ron Howard will never have to worry about his take on Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas being mistaken for anything resembling an instant holiday classic.
It’s not so much that the reported $120 million-plus production goes wrong somewhere along the way, but rather, it never goes right. The tone, which seemingly changes by the minute, is off from the start and leaves an utterly charmless trail of half-baked ideas and misguided attempts at subversive edginess in its wake.

"Gossip Girl" tells the story of a bunch of wealthy Upper East Siders (and a few Brooklynites) as they deal with drama, romance, and chaos in the Big Apple. The show, which ran from 2007 to 2012, also happened to make much of its young cast into huge stars. Blake Lively, of course, starred as Serena van der Woodsen on "Gossip Girl" and has since gone on to be a prominent A-lister. Penn Badgley, who played the seemingly innocuous Dan Humphrey, now stars as another seemingly harmless (but very murderous) character on the hit show "You." Meanwhile, Taylor Momsen, who played Dan's little sister Jenny Humphrey, transitioned from television into a successful music career after leaving "Gossip Girl"; she currently fronts the band The Pretty Reckless.

People have been curious about Chace Crawford's love life since his early "Gossip Girl" days. The 38-year-old actor, who currently stars as The Deep on "The Boys," has had only had three confirmed relationships - although there have been plenty of rumored romances, including relationships with "Dancing With the Stars"'s Erin Andrews and "Twilight"'s Ashley Greene. Gossip has also swirled about possible hookups with everyone from "Gossip Girl's" Taylor Momsen to Lauren Conrad, although those are most likely just rumors.
While his relationships with Blake Lively's Serena and Leighton Meester's Blair on "Gossip Girl" were deeply chaotic and dramatic, Crawford's personal love life seems much more laid-back. The actor, who grew up in Texas and made his film debut in the 2006 supernatural drama "The Covenant," was cast as Nate Archibald in "Gossip Girl" in March 2007 and quickly become one of TV's most desirable bachelors.

Taylor Momsen was only 7 years old when she starred as Cindy Lou Who opposite Jim Carrey in Ron Howard’s 2000 Christmas blockbuster “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” It was a breakout role that earned Momsen a Saturn Award nomination for best performance by a younger actor, but it also led to bullying in school. Momsen revealed as much during an interview on “Podcrushed,” a podcast series co-hosted by her former “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgley.
“’The Grinch’ changed my life in a multitude of ways — one of them being I was made fun of relentlessly,” Momsen said. “Every time I would start a new school or go somewhere else, I don’t even think the kids knew my name. I was just Grinch Girl. Not even the character name [Cindy Lou Who], just Grinch Girl.”
Momsen said that while she “got used to it” over time, it still “was alienating” to constantly be reduced to “Grinch Girl.

While Taylor Momsen is best known for her role in “Gossip Girl”, and her musical sideline as lead singer of rock band The Pretty Reckless, one of her earlier roles led to more mockery than fame.

“Gossip Girl” may have been plagued with the eternal question of Dan, Nate or Chuck, but one of its stars was crushing on an entirely different CW star: Jared Padalecki. Taylor Momsen, who played Jenny Humphrey in “Gossip Girl,” opened up about her first love on Wednesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s “Podcrushed.”

Break out your headbands, Upper East Siders and Jenny Humphrey stans. Taylor Momsen reunited with “Gossip Girl” star Penn Badgley for the first time since the 2012 series finale of The CW teen drama, appearing on the Sept. 6 episode of “Podcrushed,” Badgley’s SiriusXM podcast with Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.
During the hour-long episode, the pair reminisced about their time on “Gossip Girl” together; Badgley portrayed Dan Humphrey, while Momsen played his little sister, Jenny, for four seasons. She was just 12 years old when the pilot was shot, and says she didn’t really want to leave her middle school friends — but was “convinced” to do it.

An unofficial “Gossip Girl” reunion is on the horizon between series stars Penn Badgely and Taylor Momsen. The CW’s two favorite Brooklynites are set to appear together on an upcoming episode of Badgely’s podcast, “Podcrushed.”
“A reunion worth waiting for,” the “Podcrushed” account posted on Instagram along with two pictures of Badgley and Momsen together. The second picture featured Badgley sporting Little J’s signature smoky eye look, one of the character’s defining features in later seasons of the show.
The post did not include a date for the upcoming episode, but based on its history, it’s safe to say the new episode will premiere on an upcoming Wednesday. Hosted by Badgley, Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari, “Podcrushed” “explores the heartbreak, anxiety and self-discovery of being a teenager,” according to its description on Apple Podcasts. Carmen, Juni, and the rest of the Cortez family are back for another butt-kicking spy adventure. In April, Netflix announced that Robert Rodriguez, the original director of the 2000s action films, signed on to write and direct an upcoming "Spy Kids" reboot movie. Skydance Media optioned the film rights to Netflix with the intention of reimagining the spy thriller for a modern audience, according to Variety.
Officially titled "Spy Kids: Armageddon," the new project will be the fifth installment in the "Spy Kids" franchise, following the original 2001 "Spy Kids" and it's three sequels: "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams," "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over," and "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World." God only knows it was a matter of time until the Recording Academy picked the Beach Boys as the recipient of one of its annual all-star tributes, and the group’s legacy isn’t done any shame with “A Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys,” airing Sunday night at 8 Et/Pt on CBS (and for on-demand streaming on Paramount+). No wrong harmonies are struck, literally or figurative, in a two-hour show that starts out feeling a little bit by-the-numbers but eventually lands on a series of knockout covers fit for a Wilson.
Are you surprised that Brandi Carlile would be the highlight of a tribute special? Then come out from under your rock and do stay up late enough to catch both of her performances on the show, since she is one of a handful of artists granted both solo and duet slots in the setlist. Taylor Momsen is a name that many pop culture fans think of when they conjure up images of a child star. The young actor, who now focuses primarily on music, started acting in the early 2000s after a stint of appearances in commercials. Her high-profile role in How the Grinch Stole Christmas made her a household name, and she went on to act in several other major movies and TV shows. Unlike many other young actors, Momsen never loved the spotlight — and in the years following her ascent to fame, she opened up about how she “had no choice” in becoming a child star.

Television has provided unrealistic standards of life’s many truths for as long as it’s existed — from being able to hang out in a coffee shop during the work day to going on thousands of dates in a single year. But one of the most bothersome standards TV has warped audiences into thinking is what kind of apartment New Yorkers today can realistically afford.
Millions of residents live in the five boroughs, and more people move there every day with dreams of getting a 212 area code and a mailing address in the big city. In an era of TikTok favorites getting record deals and lead acting roles, follower counts and blue checkmarks seem to be a requirement for getting a big break in Hollywood.
