Series star Jd Pardo makes his directorial debut with FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode four, “I See the Black Light.”
Ez’s betting the Mayans M.C. Santo Padre’s future on taking over the Lobos New Generation’s drug business in the U.S., and he trades away the 12 crates of stolen guns for supplies to make more heroin. His men are frustrated and upset by the deal, and Ez reminds them that without the pipeline, the war will be lost no matter how many guns they have in their possession.
Hank (Frankie Loyal) informs Ez, Angel (Clayton Cardenas), and Bishop (Michael Irby) – the inner circle – that Creeper told him there’s a rat in the clubhouse. Someone in jail told Creeper, and Creeper believes it. So does Hank.

Following on from the poster release yesterday of Pixar’s upcoming animation Coco by the film’s director Lee Unkrich via twitter as well as the full cast and character details, a new trailer for one boy’s quest to find the truth about his family history has arrived.

A far cry from Pixar’s Cars, Coco portrays a classic experience both visually and musically whilst dipped in a candy vat of diversity in examining a culture we very rarely see in animation form.
Newcomer Anthony Gonzalez leads the project’s all-Latino voice cast as Miguel, a young boy from a shoemaker’s family who dreams of becoming a musician like his idol, the late Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt), despite his family having banned music for generations. Miguel will be accompanied on his adventure by a trickster named Hector, voiced by Gael Garcia Bernal.

Diversity is kind of a hot topic nowadays. As citizens of a melting pot of a culture, it’s nice to be represented in mainstream entertainment. And if we’re being honest, it’s not just about diversity, but authenticity. It always rings a bit false when you have a white person portraying a person of color. It’s especially easy to get away with this in animation, where you don’t even see the voice actors.
Studios have gotten away with this practice for years, but in today’s world, they’re making a conscious effort to create films that respect the culture it’s portraying, and part of that has to do with the voice cast. This newer approach is expanding to Coco, the latest film from Pixar inspired by Día de Muertos, a celebration of the dearly departed.

YouTube multi-channel network Maker Studios just added another name to its growing laundry list of mainstream celebrity talent with which its inked online video-related deals. Margaret Cho now joins the likes of Snoop Dogg, Robert De Niro, and more in calling Maker her YouTube liaison. Variety announced last week Cho is set to launch her very own 13-episode, scripted series on July 3 on her very own YouTube channel. The program, dubbed In Transition, is “billed as a dark comedy about a trio of women newly released from prison,” which reads like a similar premise to Netflix’s upcoming original series Orange is the New Black, which lends this writer to believe that if we’re able to soon find one more entertainment program involving women exiting or entering correctional facilities, we’ll have a full-blown New York Times trend piece about the phenomenon. Cho will executive produce the series with...

I'm an actress, comic, and burlesque artist who happens to be a little person. I'm also a Mexican woman, but the greatest form of discrimination I endure on a regular basis is purely about my short stature. My father never failed to remind me that I am a fighter and survivor, so I do not subscribe to victim mentality, as it accomplishes nothing. In fact, I have a sense of humor about my situation and created a stand-up comedy career around it. Nonetheless, I believe when people do wrong, they should be held accountable.

The news of Liz Taylor's death derailed me this morning as Twitter exploded. Though I am less nostalgic as a person than I appear to be on the web (I think it's that love of Oscar history and "anniversary" post-fetish that makes me seem like a weepy 'they don't make 'em like they used to' type.), this month has been admittedly nostalgia-saturated. We shall return to stuff in theaters very soon.
As I was posting about Liz and sharing reader of the day "first movie" memories I began to wonder when my Liz fandom began? I have no specific recall like I do with some stars. My earliest vivid pop culture memories from childhood are mostly bunched around the axis of The Muppets, Star Wars and Natalie Wood (television airings of her old movies) in the late 70s. So I was looking at Liz's filmography and realized the first...

What happened to the original Demonic Toys? And does one need to see the original to see Demonic Toys 2? Life is all about risks and in Demonic Toys 2 the characters risk their lives trying to escape a "nine hundred year old Italian castle (IMDb)." The film is heavy in special effects, but the film has been described as "pisspoor" and "a cinematic shit sandwich (Killer Film)." So purchasing Demonic Toys 2 might be a risk to your pocketbook and your own mental health. A trailer is available for those who like the demon possessed dolls. For every one else, have a laugh at the clip that could have been called "When Freaky Looking Dolls Go Wild!"
The trailer for Demonic Toys 2 here:
"A group of people on a world wide search for oddities find themselves trapped in a nine hundred year old Italian castle when they accident...

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.
EW offers a first look at James Franco as gay beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the upcoming biopic Howl. Fans of the writers (who were also longtime lovers) were quick to point out the photo's inspiration. Here's a cute new interview out ex-pat David Sedaris did for the London Times: "Hugh and I have been together for 18 or something years. What’s our secret? Hugh never listens to a word I say." Kris Allen had some nice things to say about both his American Idol roomie, Adam Lambert, and Lambert's alleged boyfriend, Drake Labry: "They click well and they're really nice together." Platonically, of course!!

Follow-ups to some of the biggest recent genre hits are either out now or ready to assault screens, and Fangoria Radio is the place to find out about them. Tonight’s show (airing on Sirius Xm Stars satellite radio, Sirius channel 108/Xm channel 139, from 10 p.m.-1 a.m., with a repeat immediately after), hosted by Dee Snider and Debbie Rochon, boasts a lineup of actors who prove that once is not enough:
• Shawnee Smith (pictured) faces the Japanese curse that just won’t die in the new-to-Sony-dvd The Grudge 3; she’ll be on to talk about that, and perhaps drop a few hints about what to expect from her return appearance in this fall’s Saw VI
• Chris Ashworth helps fight to save the future in next week’s megarelease Terminator Salvation, and will tell us about his battles alongside Christian Bale and Sam Worthington
• Little person Selene Luna...

Considering 3-D’s importance to both the My Bloody Valentine remake (out next week in a two-dvd set from Lionsgate) and the movie’s box-office success this past winter, it’s surprising that the process isn’t the focal point of more of the supplemental material. What’s gratifying is that the film’s dimensional presentation on disc works quite a bit better than the one seen in, for most recent example, this year’s home edition of Friday The 13th Part III.
While there are moments of ghosting, and the image inevitably lacks the clarity and true depth of the theatrical version, this DVD 3-D is overall pretty sharp, augmenting both the mood and the in-your-face jumps. The glasses, emblazoned not with Valentine’s logo but that of Lionsgate’s upcoming Saw VI (if only that movie was being produced using the process), utilize red and blue lenses—actually...

Old-school Full Moon fans rejoice! Several malicious dolls and weird characters you grew up with are returning quite soon…and in a castle you may well remember.
It’s no secret that Charles Band, head honcho of all things Full Moon, is resurrecting his favorite franchise icons. We’ve previously reported on Band’s continuing efforts regarding Bride Of The Head Of The Family and the Gingerdead Man series. And now, with the help of regular scripter Silvia St. Croix and FX man Gage Munster, Band is bringing more Demonic Toys, Killer EYEs and a new crop of terrible toys called Skull Heads your way.
“I’m really excited, because Charles is going back to the old style that he used to do in his films, like shooting in Italy,” St. Croix, who has taken on writing and directing responsibilities on Demonic Toys 2: Personal Demons, tells Fango. “I’m...

Los Angeles - America loves a comeback. Allegedly so does Hollywood, although the town seems to make it fairly difficult for some. Margaret Cho is a terrific example.
Cho was supposed to be a sitcom star, you see...back in the mid-'90s. ABC made her the star of "All-American Girl," which was supposed to be loosely based on her life, albeit starring a thinner version of her life, and with parents the network believed would seem more universally acceptable.
Not only did the show tank (in both its original incarnation and its disastrous "Friends"-style overhaul) but the experience nearly killed Cho. She was forced to lose 30 pounds in an insanely short amount of time, making her kidneys collapse while the series was filming. Criticism from executives made her hate herself, and sent her sinking into substance abuse after her show was canceled. Hollywood forced her into exile.
