- After a go at Rock and Roll in the mid-eighties, Chris Laine began his career in Film and Television as a Camera Assistant in NYC. He went to Vienna, Austria in 1993, where he shot 2nd Unit on a feature. From there he began a 4 year stint, lensing commercials, industrials, features and shorts, as well as overseeing the Camera and Lighting Department of one of Austria's first private television networks, VTV. Chris returned to the U.S. in 1997 and landed work as a Gaffer in Los Angeles under the direction of such notables as Greg Gardiner. But it was an opportunity to shoot documentaries where Chris found his groove again. He has built an extensive resume with such networks as VH1, Discovery, History Channel, A&E and CourtTV, while still continuing to work in Europe. Drawing from his background in Music, Chris relishes the collaborative spirit of Filmmaking-- which he likens to "jamming".- IMDb Mini Biography By: cnl
