The Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, first premiered in 2021. While the series is a success in terms of viewership, fans have some significant criticisms about the reboot. One of the biggest complaints has been how some of the show’s beloved characters appear to be a shadow of their former selves. Miranda Hobbes was the biggest victim of a swift and inexplicable personality change. There were several big issues fans took with Miranda, but there were also little things wrong with the formerly uptight lawyer during season 1. Miranda’s refusal to listen to podcasts was the first sign that something was seriously amiss.
Fans hated Miranda’s ‘And Just Like That…’ romance
In season 1 of And Just Like That… Miranda experienced a sexual awakening. That would have been fine if she hadn’t thrown away her longtime marriage without a second thought. Miranda Hobbes’ decision to...

Chicago Fire Season 12 has come to an end, and now we're turning our attention to the next installment.
Was this season our favorite? No, definitely not.
But it had its moments, and it certainly set us up for some major drama when the show returns in the fall.
After the stunning revelation that Eamonn Walker will not be returning (at least not in the same capacity), we're left to wonder how 51 will handle a leadership change.
Plus, several huge relationship-related bombs were dropped during the season finale that season 13 will have to address.
Does Violet love Carver back? Will next season deliver a Stellaride baby? How will Kelly deal with the news of another long-lost half-sibling?
Chicago Fire Season 2 Episode 7 Review: No Regrets
Hopefully, all these questions and more will be answered when the show returns.
For now, here's everything we know about what to expect from Chicago Fire Season 13.

The Chicago Fire season finale featured a fond farewell to Chief Wallace Boden.
Fans tuning in for the final episode of Season 12 saw Boden become the Deputy Commissioner. It’s a role that takes him away from Firehouse 51.
The family he had created at the firehouse sent him off with well-wishes, as Boden looked to make changes for the Chicago Fire Department from the inside.
Eamonn Walker has played the role since the very first season, but his run as a series regular has ended.
This was sad news revealed to Chicago Fire fans, especially those shocked by what happened during the season finale.
Walker always had a great scene presence as Chief Boden, so the show’s tone may shift when Chicago Fire Season 13 debuts in the fall.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains storylines from “Never Say Goodbye,” the May 22 Season 12 finale of “Chicago Fire.”
It was a night for goodbyes on “Chicago Fire.” The Season 12 finale was the final episode for Eamonn Walker as Battalion Chief Wallace Boden. The actor, who has served as the chief of Firehouse 51 since the series debuted in 2012, will no longer appear as a series regular beginning next season.
After a hard call, Boden decided to throw his hat into the ring for the job of Deputy Commissioner, mostly because those in the running (specifically Chief Robinson) wouldn’t be able to lead in a way that the department deserves. If he was to become DC, he’d have to leave 51 for good. After telling the team, he then told Herrmann (David Eigenberg) that in the slim chance he got the promotion, he’d like him to take over his job.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago Fire Season 12 finale “Never Say Goodbye.”] “You made 51 a family, Chief, and this firehouse a home,” Cruz (Joe Minoso) tells Boden in Eamonn Walker‘s last Chicago Fire episode as a series regular. That sums up who Boden is perfectly. He’s back, after helping out James, and determined to keep Chief Robinson from becoming Deputy Commissioner. He also catches up with Severide (Taylor Kinney), who filled in for him while he was gone, and the lieutenant remarks on how much of his job is counseling, something that Herrmann (David Eigenberg) has a knack for. Then, at a structure collapse, Boden goes up on a ladder to help a foreman who’s hanging onto a rope off a suspended platform, only for the man to slip and fall—before the bag below is ready. With a head ...

There’s no more endearing firefighter on Chicago Fire than Darren Ritter (played by Daniel Kyri), who joined Firehouse 51 in 2018 (first recurring then as a regular) after being cut from another house for freezing on a call. Despite that blemish, Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Lt. Herrmann (David Eigenberg) backed the new candidate, and he won a candidate position at the house. Quietly but openly gay, Ritter became part of the house’s “Three Musketeers,” best friends with Gallo (Alberto Rosende) and Emt Violet (Hanako Greensmith) until Gallo left the Cfd in this season’s premiere. Always kind and helpful, Ritter has grown and prospered. Below, Kyri talks about May 8 episode, in which he doesn’t just fight a conflagration but faces the revelation of his current boyfriend to his team, and shares his new modeling experience. Exclusive: A fan-favorite character is leaving And Just Like That… Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace in the first two seasons of the Sex and the City sequel, will not be returning for the upcoming third season of the hit Max series.
Pittman was already a series regular on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show when she was cast in And Just Like That…, originally as a recurring in Season 1; she was upped to a series regular in Season 2. Earlier this month, she also was tapped for a starring role in Forever, Netflix’s upcoming drama series reimagining Judy Blume’s novel from Mara Brock Akil.
This put Pittman in the middle of a scheduling conundrum involving three high-profile series on three major streamers filming new seasons this year within similar timeframes.
According to sources, there was every intention for Pittman to be in Season 3 of Ajlt, and Nya was written into the scripts.

Sara Ramírez will not be returning to the third season of And Just Like That, according to Variety and Deadline.
Ramirez, who uses they/them pronouns, played nonbinary standup comedian Che Diaz and was introduced as Miranda Hobbs’ (Cynthia Nixon) love interest in season one. By season two, however, the fictional couple had called it quits.

Sara Ramirez’s time has ended on the Sex and the City spinoff series And Just Like That… at Max.
By the end of Season 2, Ramirez’s Che Diaz and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) had split for good and both had moved on to explore new relationships. A source close to production revealed to Deadline last month that Che’s story had concluded, and Ramirez would not be returning for Season 3.
As Che has a strong friendship with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), they could essentially make appearances in the future. Max declined comment in January and again for this story.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail claimed Che was being eliminated due to Ramirez’s pro-Palestine social media posts, but sources told Deadline at the time that was false. Ramirez seemingly responded to the news with an Instagram post shared a day later that read, “Don’t let the...

Looks like the internet won’t have Che Diaz to kick around anymore. According to multiple sources, Sara Ramírez won’t be returning to “And Just Like That” for its third season, which starts production later this year for a 2025 premiere on Max.
Ramírez has played nonbinary standup comedian Che Diaz since Season 1, during which the character became a meme-generating object of mockery. In a cover story interview for Variety‘s Pride issue in June 2022, Ramírez said they had tried to avoid the online commentary. “Other people’s opinions of a character — that’s not something I can allow into my process,” they said. “I choose what I receive, right? That’s the beauty of being grown — I don’t have to receive everything!”

Although there have obviously been plenty of cast changes through the years (there have been 20 series regulars over the course of the show), Walker said that the one thing that’s remained constant through all 12 seasons has been the sense of camaraderie the cast has shared on the set. [This story contains some spoilers from the first three episodes of Chicago Fire season 12.]
With his 40-year career on stage and screen, actor David Eigenberg looks at his chosen profession as a roller-coaster ride of good fortune with some down times.
Upon trying his hand at acting after an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1986, the early years of Eigenberg’s career seemed to meet with more roadblocks than successes. At one point, he contemplated going into the profession of construction. But soon after came breakthroughs and successful auditions for the then-hopeful young actor.
In 1999, Eigenberg became known by millions as the on-again, off-again boyfriend (and eventual husband — and then ex-husband) of Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) on HBO classic Sex and the City and its follow-ups. But some might argue that his star shined brighter when he joined the ensemble cast of Firehouse 51 in 2012 on NBC’s Chicago Fire.

Change is coming to Chicago Fire. Two more cast members are leaving the NBC drama in season 12. Kara Killmer and Alberto Rosende are exiting the series, following the departure of Jesse Spencer as a full-time cast member in season 10. What’s behind the cast exodus? Showrunner Andrea Newman recently weighed in on the show’s evolution.

Faithful viewers of NBC’s long-running drama had been left wondering about Mouch’s fate after season 11, and whether the longtimer had survived shrapnel from a sniper’s bullet in the finale cliffhanger. It wasn’t until last week’s season 12 premiere that it was revealed that Mouch survived his near-deadly ordeal.
